So all your fixing would come from FtV. I guess you also get Lotus Petal, but the fixing is still terrible.

Since many Mythics are multicolored, what would you do for fixing?

Alright. Makes sense. Man, I betcha it'll feel like a powered cube after a few more of those come out :p

They keep revisiting old, strong effects (Oak, Item Finder, Gust of Wind, and Computer Search) and usually making new named versions, increasing the copies of these effects. Really does make it feel more powered.

Are you going to use the ACE-SPEC rule?

Yes. There doesn't seem to be a strong enough reason to ignore the rule. With right now only three planed cards to have the ability, it should rarely be an issue that a person ends up with two ACE-SPEC cards. Just don't draft a second one, unless it is really better for your deck than the first ACE-SPEC card you drafted.

Do you plan on using any of the ACE-SPEC cards?

Yes. The current list needs to be updated, including the addition of ACE-SPEC cards. The updated Computer Search and Gold Potion, along with Dowsing MCHN (when it comes out in Feb).

Just wanna say that this has been really fun to draft the couple times that I've played it. We've just been shuffling the whole thing and playing with 6 people and it's worked out for the most part.

Played a fun Kingdra deck the first time but the person to my left ended up with the Prime that my deck really needed, along with the Vaporeons to go with my Glaceon.

Second time I got to play Raichu/Ampharos and did quite a bit better thanks to Raichu having no retreat.

I need to work on my drafting a bit, since I think I still put too much emphasis on Trainers and colorless guys and end up cutting into my lines too late. Still, it's a ton of fun and I'd recommend this to anyone thinking of trying it.

Glad you are enjoying it. It does take a little to get used to, since it is different drafting style than Magic, and plays slightly different than regular Pokemon TCG games.

I have yet to play Pokecube and currently am building one (thanks to your blog). So no experiences yet. :p
But I do have a question. I tend to have a hard time getting eight people to cube. Does your cube support 4 - 6 people playing? I think it wouldn't work because it can break/leave out stage 1 / stage 2 lines and dealing with eight energy types to spread. I was thinking of building it with less evolutions or something if so. Just wondering if you tried it with 4 - 6 people.

We have cubed multiple times with 4-6. Add 50 cards to the draft pool for each player, and one type for each player. So if you have 6 players, add the 6 of 8 types and the energies and Eevee (we tend to not add the eevelutions of the types not being drafted) and then add Trainers to you hit your number amount (300 for 6 players). Then make your draft stacks out of this pile instead of the entire cube.

I know some of you have gotten the chance to play with the Pokecube and I was wondering if you would be willing to share your experiences?

Since I am planning on just printing all of these cards with MSE, I was considering going to look through all of the various starter pokemon and errata all of them to be one line. The problem I had was Electric, Fighting, and Psychic don't really have an analog throughout the generations which would lead to RGU being three most powerful colors.

If you plan on errata cards, then I don't see the problem. For lighting, just errata the best pikachu, mareep, shinx, tynamo, voltrob, etc. into one basic line. Do the rest for the other types. If you are errataing cards, I'm not sure you need the self restriction of only errata starter Pokemon.

I agree that errata cards feels like cheating. To me it is the equivalent to making Savannah Lions a red card because it works best in Modo Red.

    To each their own.

Have you seen PokeNav? A ponder can be underwhelming in pokemon, but it's not a Trainer and could be strong enough.

I have seen it. While it does look interesting, I don't think it makes the cut over some of the other cards already in the Cube. Thanks though.

What are your thoughts on the new Boundaries crossed cards like Skyla?

I have looked into the newest set Boundaries Crossed and there are few cards that are planned to go in. Skyla might make it in since she is an interesting tutor, which I like, but it depends on what card would be cut for her. There is the new update for Computer Search and Gold Potion which both will definitely make it in. Ace Spec is an interesting mechanic that will be less awkward in the Cube than it is for constructed, but still creates interesting choices when drafting.

Another update on the blog, this time it's about Gyarados: http://pokecube.com/2012/11/27/whos-that-pokemon-gyarados/

Got to play this for the first time last night and it was a blast. Hoping to read my input and advice from you soon.

Glad to hear you were able to finally play it. I hope it was enjoyable. Smile I look forward to reading/hearing any feedback and your experience with it.

I apologize for the lack of updates lately. I actually started working on the Slowking post this week, since it seemed an apt transition from the slow progress of late. :p

EDIT: The new post is done and up about Slowking: http://pokecube.com/2012/11/16/whos-that-pokemon-slowking/

I find it amusing that my cube (billyh's cube) is the closest cube to yours, when I am playing absolutely none of the cards in your cube marked as "unusual".

Does this imply that your cube would be closer to the "average" 360 cube (the cube generated only from the data of what other people cube) than mine?

That is very interesting. I also find it odd that it didn't match up my cube with the previous version of itself.

Thanks! It is nice to be able to read all those different stats and look at the breakdown. I was just curious to which cube(s) this program is based off of? Since it has an idea of what cards are normal and unusual, I was just curious how this was decided.
