MysticLeviathan posted a message on Ultimate Masters & Box Topper Promos + PSA regarding sealed Box Topper BoostersPosted in: The Rumor MillQuote from thatmarkguy »Quote from dietl »So this is what you do. You buy a box for 335$ and sell the topper for at least 100$, which should be pretty easy. Boom, normal master set price, except the value inside the set is already much better than previous masters sets.
...and if your topper was one of the dud lands?
You sell it sealed. There are enough really good, valuable, beautiful cards worth well over $100 to cancel out the duds. Assuming there’s no way to peek at the card or manipulate the pack, $100 wouldn’t be a bad price for a sealed box topper. -

Wienaman43 posted a message on Masters 25 Name and Number CrunchOne--currently there is some flexibility in regards to whether White in particular will have one less card; the first blue card is 2 cards in according to the current crunch (#42)...in this same vein, none of the mono color ranges have their "first" card spoiled currently, so this could flex all the way down to Green and Pendelhaven potentially, as @thatmarkguy said.Posted in: The Rumor Mill
Two--RIX, counting Azor's Gateway had 16/15 mythics. I am not saying it is likely, but it is *possible* that there are 16 mythics.
Three--Afterlife and Abbey Gargoyles are the first suggestions I have seen of any card that could come in at #1 besides a colorless.
Four--a colorless card doesn't absolutely have to be Karn or Ugin; Thought Knot Seer would be an excellent historical reprint.
All these things add up to the fact that I still think it is possible that #1 is a colorless card. -

IIRC, when original Zendikar hit the shelves and there was a temporary shortage here, the second printrun & replenishment arrived sometimes around end of October/half of November... -

Really I just wanted to point out that Spellskite is a horror, and doesn't get returned with everything else when this guy flips. So, that's something. -

Wildfire393 posted a message on No fetches in Oath of the Gatewatch - and the following block too!Moved to speculation.Posted in: Speculation
Now, this could be taken to mean that there will not be fetches in Standard until after Battle for Zendikar rotates. HOWEVER, close reading of the statement reveals this:
"they would not overlap in Standard for the entire lifespan of Battle for Zendikar."
Not overlapping for the "entire" lifespan is not the same as not being present at all until BFZ rotates. Bear in mind that BFZ will be present for the following rotations:
Khans/FRF, Dragons/Origins, BFZ/OGW (Khans fetches legal)
Dragons/Origins, BFZ/OGW, Tears/Fears (Khans fetches rotate out, so if Tears/Fears does not have them, there are no fetches overlapping here)
BFZ/OGW, Tears/Fears, Lock/Stock
This means we could have fetches in Lock and still have a period where fetches are not Standard legal along with BFZ block.
So in theory, this means we could see a reprint of Zendikar fetchland as early as next Fall.
Additionally, they could choose to put them in a supplemental product between now and then Commander 2015 has an enemy-pairs theme that they would go nicely in, and there's next Summer's Supplemental product as well. -

That's just how they package them for Walmart (booster with this larger cardboard package around it). They've been using that style since at least RTR. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

PSA: You can send damaged cards back to wizards and they will replace it for you. But you have to also send the packaging. More info here.
That's still really annoying if true.

Wizards f***ed up again. This being so easily avoidable makes it even more frustrating. Seriously, how can this be an issue with a company having 25 years experience?
