This is a great day for America and all of America's minorities.

Bill Clinton says that Obama should have been serving him coffee. Hillary Clinton was a Goldwater Girl and said Black youths are super-predators to be brought to heel. I was genuinely afraid of what would happen to Blacks if she were to win the presidency. That's woman who took great pride in putting as many Blacks into prison as possible and she also promised to expand the unnecessary war on drugs even though everyone knows that minorities are disproportionally targeted by the law. And she got millions of dollars from the prison industrial complex lobbyists. Wiki leaks documents suggests she was planning on doubling the number of Blacks in prison in order to ensure that those prisons remained at capacity.

I'm proud of America for rejecting the Clintons: the most racist and aloof people to have ever occupied the White House in a generation. And Hillary showed all the class I've come to expect from her ilk: refusing to even give a proper concession speech on the night she got trounced.

Now that an honest person who's full of integrity is going to occupy the White House, we can expect great things for this country at last.

I support a blacklist of TappingStones. A long time ago we made a pact, a pact to claim Masons together. But he never claimed Masons with me. Now I sit here broken hearted, because when two people vow to claim masons together, you claim masons together. Even if it costs you the game because you you claim mason with SCUM. Tapping is not a person of his word and now I'm experiencing the heartache of a spurned lover. I had to claim masons with someone else instead. I feel betrayed.

I'm only suggesting that basics should try harder to have a meaningful narrative, instead of falling into the trap of "boring setup means boring story, set in Standardville". Also a continuing story that extends to the next game from that host or even another with coordination.

Example: Game 1 Town must root out Werewolf infestation. Town wins, Game 2 involves infiltrating a werewolf den; now the secret team is the good guys. Or if Werewolves won, they infest the city and Game 2 is an urban setting. Game 3 will have your werewolf godfather either taking over the nation or desperately fighting for survival.

Continuing narrative with player choice can be powerful, even without messing with mechanics.

Battle For Vanillaville is literally that...

Oh, just following up on what I said earlier.

Oh, another thing, is there a such thing as a town vs. scum game? Without a bunch of neutrals. Because that would be really fun.

I recall seeing an article written about "complexity creep". Sometimes a person wants just a plain old game of mafia. NORMALS typically fit that mold.

I mean this is pretty obvious folks.

There are zero games that one can enter right now. Yes, a big games just fired off a couple days ago but how long are people going to have to wait to join a game. There should be some sort of game signing people up at all times.

And the long days are no joke. Because of these long days people take V/LA and just wait till a more pressing time to engage seriously. It's bad for the forum.

most forums i've seen use 36 hr days and 12 hour nights. That's way too fast for me. A few have slightly longer deadlines. There's one, and only one place I've seen which have 5 day deadlines and 2 day nights. Mafiascum games are typically 14 days along with MTGS.

ALSO I COPY/PASTE INTO WORDPAD BECAUSE CURSE IS AWFUL AND EATS POSTS.

While me gambiting may have ended up being a bad idea, it's clear that my intentions for it were genuinely good intentions: I was just trying to not eat the NK and keep the doc alive longer to make myself most useful. My inexperience clearly showed as that was a bad idea, but the reality of the situation is that I'm an un'cced town doctor who is trying to be lynched.

I think it's beyond clear we have scum pushing my lynch because they know I'll be cleared and this is their one chance to push my mislynch.

Fake-claiming seems to be a lost art. Please see my first post in Mafia Classic to observe the proper method of fake claiming.

Ugh. In my very first game on this site someone said that Doctor is the most frequently fake-claimed role on this forum. I'd hate to lose a town doctor. On the other hand, I'm gonna protect Seppel, because rage-quitting is totally townie.

    What?

How is this coming from a town player in any way? I have not (and will not be) cc'ed, and you are wanting me lynched. You do realise you are hopping on a wagon very close to lynch that is a claimed doctor?

    Quote from Cyan »
Yo're right in this regard. VT claims should get lynched, and they typically do. Though I would argue that the most common scum false-claim on here is Doc(largely because VT claims rarely save anyone).

There's no guarantee that there's a doctor in this game. In my second scum-game ever one of my teammates claimed Doctor to out the real doctor, but there was no doctor and so he just rode that claim to victory. I'm wholeheartedly acknowledging that you could be a doctor but Seppel is a townread and you're not.

My immediate reaction to Brinatoo's post was that he knew to look for that because he knows the scum falseclaims. Like for nobody else to catch that, except him, makes me raise an eyebrow. Eyebrow
did you just admit that the mafia team gets fake claims ? voting when I get home

Calling me scum every game doesn't mean you can actually read me. Sure, you were correct in the Classic, but you could technically call everyone in this game scum, and say you caught 100% of the scum team. And the fact of the matter is you chose a method to this game that all it does is make you a question mark (by purposefully lurking). Maybe you will participate more in the game, in which case, more power to you. But in any event, I would be fine with you getting shot in the face. With a rocket launcher.

Are you sure I was scumreading you...

I wanted to vote GJ but then I realized that maybe not making waves and staying even keeled is just his playstyle. But then when pressured on making a scum-case on me he ultimately said it didn't matter so whatever.

    Dota hard lynch

    Gentleman Johnny easy lynch

I wouldn't be surprised if GJ flips town.

I'll hammer myself if everyone has said what they need to said.

    Let's test that idea.

Anyway I'm fairly certain your claim is either fake or you're a lover with scum.

    imabusinessman not answering my question.

    Crying

meh, I was gonna ignore it but it is a worthy question...

In Final Fantasy I was suspicious of you because of your "Hunt is playing badly, I think he's town, but he deserves to die anyway". This was after I literally proved that Hunt's abilities made him confirmed town. Nobody even refuted my reasons for Hunt being confirmed town, they just kept attacking him anyway. But you particularly drew my ire from the group because you were townreading him and declaring you didn't care if he died. (Hint: it's why I'm scumreading GJ, but I'm scumreading him way harder than I ever did you in Final Fantasy).

In this game I didn't like it when you were declaring that I should be shot. I firmly believe that townies would just say "shoot a lurker, anyone will do" and that it really shouldn't matter which one. Instead you and several other players were trying to direct the vig to particular players. It turned out right in the end but it's one of those "the right play for the wrong reasons" kind of thing. And while other players were also trying to direct shots, I just don't have a townread on you like I do for Seppel and Tappingstones.

Seppel is right. The scum are likely reeling and will not make waves today.

In that vein, I want people to give reasons based on interactions for their scum reads. You can't use "lurking" as a scum read, it's too easy for scum to use this as something we can't interact with later. I want to hear reasons, based on quotes.

No more hiding behind "lynch a lurker arguments". It's not that we wont lynch one, it's that everyone needs to be on record after the Kraj flip giving in-depth reasoning why. Not just "Yeah, Jobie has been lurking, we got him boys!".

Gentleman Johnny is scum because he wants his townread, me, to get vigged. Then claimed he wants to work with town. Do neutrals who want to work with town ask that their townreads get vigged? The answer is no.

If GJ is a lover with another neutral he's never gonna claim because claiming "I'm neutral and I'm gonna work with town" is gonna get you Nightkilled faster than a teenager in a Freddy Kreuger film.

This is a normal game. Have you ever heard of a normal game giving out fake-claims for the scum team? If there are fake-claims being given out to scum teams in a Normal game then this game has been mis-classified. Do you think Iso mis-classified this game? And yet there's N-A-G (and somebody else who's name I'm forgetting) spouting off nonsense about how there are fake claims in a Normal Game. Both NAG and Gentleman Johnny are scum.

This is some really obvious stuff.
