After seeing Djeru and Samut interact with Hazoret again, I’m still sad, that they missed the opportuinity of making them both Khenra, so that the three of them could become a happy jackal family after that
Not only are we missing a Khenra legend, it would also had brought more tragic to their story, instead of friends (or lovers) they would have been twins, drifting into different lives. With that, they also missed another opportunity for a non-human walker, most of all with a race we probably won't be seeing again anytime soon.
I'm sick to goddamn death of human walkers, and especially since it was non-GW i was hoping we would get a different race. Very excited for post-Hour PW's.
I don't know if hazoret will survive. Undying fury to me could be a nod to her spirit or something along those lines. I dont think we can tell definitevly off just that.
A BR deck will have no problem sacking creatures and killing opponents creatures in the same turn which means you are swinging for 10 every turn from turn 5 on at the latest.

A three color infinite combo using a PW no one liked sounded janky too, and it still does. Every deck is janky to people with no creativity. And they wait until that jank build becomes tier 1 and they net deck it. That's how this game works, and has always worked. There are the haters and the creators. And the haters just wait until the creators make something they can copy and take credit for. It's actually kinda smart to be uncreative though and wait for the smarter people to do the work for you, because it costs less. So to answer your question, no im not sure, and that's the point. I'll let you know when and if it hits top tier, because I doubt you would bother trying if it doesn't
Bringing up the Copycat combo is pretty bad in this case because we knew it would be tier 1 as soon as we saw it. There was no question about it from the moment the set dropped.
Saheeli is a downright atrocious planeswalker and if/when copycat gets banned she'll most likely go back into obscurity.
I think the issue with Bontu is it's (like every non-green god) incredibly underwhelming. With the new red sweeper that was spoiled, maybe she has a chance to be part of BR creature goodstuff type decks, but it's hard to be excited to brew when you're disappointed. If it's anything like Emrakul, we'll all be disappointed for a few days and a pro will pick up a god and we'll be fine.
I felt like i was in the twilight-zone when people lamented new-makrul, and was patiently rewarded for my tenatcley excitement. Maybe you are right, but i just cannot for the life of me see it....Bontu just seems like an insane hassle every damn turn and it doesn't seem like the support will be there. i am hoping though!
Does anyone think it's possible that this will be like a dragons of tarkir situation, where we get the same 5 gods again in HoD, only they will be different (and perhaps, hopefully, significantly stronger and better)? Aside from green-snek i just feel totally let-down, especially Bontu who i would argue is the most disappointing.
Any story reasons hinted at thus far that could bring back these gods only better, because boy they just really aren't very good on paper.
Bontu suffers from not having an archtype that she fits in. The other four fit well in an archtype so their good to ok.
No the the gods aren't going to be back in card form in Hour of Devastation. The dragonlords got other cards in Dragons of Tarkir because Sarkhan Vol got shunted a thousand years forward to an alternate present Tarkir. Hour of Devastation is only going to be at most a coulpe weeks time wise after Amonkhet. Not enough time for them to be any different.
Well, that's your opinion, and i would also say its "unlikely" but tell me, do you even know what the hour of devastation is? without even knowing what it is in the first place i don't really see how you are in a position to say "no the god's aren't going to be back in card form" unless you have something above and beyond what you just wrote.
The story today hinted at there being 8 Gods originally, so.... we could get 3 more in next set. There was also an indication that the Gods are not as "Great" as they previously were so you can hope to see them better.
Okay well that's kind of interesting...I had this thought that perhaps Bolas has purposely made them weak or something, which is represented on their cards via "cant attack or block unless X" and that somehow the "hour of devastation will be something that kind of "unties them" from restrictions, and perhaos making them stronger.

I'm wondering if the Guardian of the Great Conduit would be playable in Nissa heavy decks (Tokens) if we didn't already have Sylvan Advocate? 4/4 Vigilance, Reach for 4 is pretty decent.
So Tezzeret is likely either Dimir or Esper in nature.
Tezz will be u/b or just black. If Mr Whiskers gets a card it will be w/g or mono white. No reason for Tezz to be esper and that would mean 6 white walkers in standard at once, which seems like a pretty heavy and unlikely imbalance
The reason Tamiyo was tri-colour was because she was the 6th walker. Since we are getting 6 walkers again, one of them must be tri-coloured. Unless MaRo's story about Tamiyo was complete bunk.
