Quote from Doctor_Oetker »Quote from Zhakad »after some consideration, here's my updated decklist:
i reduced Hordeling Outburst to 2. it is good when combined Stoke the Flames and Foundry Street Denizen. since they will be rotating out, 3 weak goblin tokens seem a bit unappealing. so i added Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh to the list. not only is she a continuous source of burn, she may be an even better card than before now that removal has been toned down a bit.
i increased the number of fetchlands for Makindi Sliderunner. it appears to be a nice 2 drop that could easily attack for 4/3 often and with trample to get past chump blockers.
since the mana base is easier to build with battle lands, i thought to make the deck Jund colors for sideboarding options. specifically, for Self-Inflicted Wound. green will always be around in our local meta, so making the opponent lose a creature (preferably their precious Siege Rhino!), lose 2 life and trigger prowess of your own creatures for an attack in one cheap card seems pretty sweet.
This is an interesting build with Makindi Sliderunner. I'm thinking of re-working my deck to include him, just for this scenario:
Turn 1: Play Mountain. Play Monastery Swiftspear. Attack for 1.
Turn 2: Play basic land. Cast Makindi. Attack for 1 with Swiftspear.
Turn 3: Play fetch land. Landfall trigger. Get a land. Landfall trigger #2. Play Atarka's Command. Prowess trigger on Swifty. Use Atarka's ability to play another fetch land. Landfall trigger #3. Get a land. Landfall trigger #4. Use Atarka's other ability to do 3 to the face. Attack with 2/3 Swifty and 6/5 Makindi. If it all gets through, that's 11 damage this turn.
Total damage after 3 turns: 13
This is quite possible with 4 Swiftys, 4 Makindis, 4 Atarka's and 10 fetches in your deck. Now the real question is if there is a better first 3 turns. Of course, this sequence works better on the play than on the draw.
yeah, that's the dream and the question. so it's something like how Foundry Street Denizen functioned before. slower but more resilient (doesn't die to 1 power creatures). Sliderunner is a common card so i am willing to get a set early to experiment.
with luck, our opponents could also be using fetchlands so that will help us much. if we get that optimal sequence you described and they have been cracking fetchlands, they may be down to 4 life on their turn 3, which makes burning them out on our fourth turn possible.

5 rounds, went 3-2. Beat a Bant Humans 2-0, a Collected Company 2-1, and a Superfriends build 2-0. Went 1-2 vs GW Tokens and 1-2 vs Bant Company siding in Lantern Scouts. MVP of course is the little engine that could Lightning Berserker and mad props to the workhorse Impetuous Devils, who cleared out many planes walkers and a few Avacyn.

Game 1:He won the toss to play first and had the nut draw.
Game 2:After side boarding in the 4 Rending Volley's and 3 Burn from Within I was able to pull it off. Early chipshot damage with Village Messenger and Zurgo knocked him down and the highlight was taking out the Avacyn he flashed to block Lightning Berserker with Burn from Within.
Game 3: Got mana screwed and he rolled over me.
2-1 vs B/W Control
Game 1: I draw 3 land in my opener and drew 7 more land to flood while Sorin got his ultimate off.
Game 2-3: After sideboard I just chipped away, baited his removal, and through fire in his face to end it.
2-1 vs Mono W Humans no red splash, on the Oderic Lunar Marshal list
Game 1: She flies out of the gate and I get stuck on 3 lands.
Game 2-3: Good draws with mana and saw the cards I sideboarded in. Took the Rending Volleys and Incendairy Flows for creature control, chipshotted in damage and finished up with Firecraft.
Not a bad night, I got the random draw for the FMN promo card and opened a Liliana which I traded for the Atarka pieces to try out Nevelo's list.

I wish they could have got Casey back on the line to finish up the sideboard discussion. They didn't touch on the singleton Molten Vortex, which I assume he brought in with the Scab-Clan Berserker against control decks. FNM tonight, so I will post up later. Hopefully we can get some info today from Pro tour and mayhaps RDW makes an appearance.

Match 1: Mono Blue Prison, 2-1. First game my cards weren't coming out in the order needed and he managed 3 Prism Rings to gain all of the life back I had knocked him down to. Game's 2 and 3 sideboard Smash to Smithereens and GDD did their thing and I got him.
Match 2: G/W Tokens, 0-2. Game 1 stuck on three lands and over quick. Game 2 mulligan down to 5 cards and proceed to flood.
Match 3: W/r Humans, 2-1. Game one she is out of the gate with the nut draw and leaves me in the dust. Lowered my curve by siding out 3 GDD, and 4 Sin Prodders and brought in Rending Volleys, Fiery Impulse, Roast. Blasted her creatures and Neonate and Lightning Berserker clobbered her.
Match 4: Mono W Humans, 1-2. Game one he has the goods and double Always Watching. Game two same SB plan as above and I take the game. Game three it was 3 life to 3 life and I misplayed. I had a Dragon Whisperer who was beating down and one in hand, but he got a couple of men on the board. I attacked and misread my opponent, thinking he had a Dec Stone, I didn't want to get two for oned so I opted to add an extra point of damage and hardcast a Lightning Berseker for a blocker thinking I was going to go for the last 2 points in the air next turn. He plays the enchantment to get flight for his creature and now has a blocker. I top deck a land and can't stop his next attack. So close, he was totally amazed about how much work Lightning Berserker did.

As this deck moves forward my thought on Nahari, the Harbinger was to use Stern Constable in place of the the Thraben Inspector. Tap their creature with the Constable and exile it with Nahiri. Perhaps I want to do too much and I should make her the other Gideon, Ally of Zendikar. The deck can be explosive on the aggro side and can move into a longer game. I beat Esper Control last night 2-0, game one was quick, but game two I had a slow start and had to kill Narset, Ob Nixilus, Jace, and Sorin before I could get him dead. Depending on board state and the right cards drawn you can flip Kytheon as soon as turn 3 with a Reckless Bushwacker. The Bushwacker and Lightning Berserker are MVP's in this deck. Dashing the Lightning Berserker to build up Thalia's Lieutenant or get Clues from Bygone Bishop is sweet (and helped my beat Esper Control game 2).
