@Goodking
No worries. Tone often times is beguiled by the medium.
I think, as another user put, the difference between Carnophage and company is rather academic--no choice made between the very similar options will be substantial enough that any decision amongst those available could be considered incorrect. After bringing up Gnarled Scarhide in my last reply, I'm leaning towards giving that some bench time in light of all the zombies invading my cube with this set simply to keep their numbers inflated to maximum capacity (and because I've literally never seen it bestowed).
But yes, in short, that mofo is being included asap.

noshadowkick posted a message on [AKH][CUBE] Nissa, Steward of ElementsI personally think this is a slam dunk. She can be dropped on curve anywhere from 3 to 8, functions as a card filtering and card advantage engine, and can win games out of nowhere. Definitely cubing with this over Kiora 2.0.Posted in: Cube Card and Archetype Discussion -

No. NONONONONONONO. Dig through time may be the best non-recall draw spell in cube. I wouldn't cut it from a 180-card cube.
Visions is a very replaceable card, though, and I wouldn't hate that cut to test this even though the cards fill very different roles. I assume you already have brainstorm, ponder, and preordain at least in the 1 cmc filtering card slots.
I also have Ancestral too. So the council has spoken and Serum Visions is the one to cut, in place for PULL FROM TOMORROW.
Looking at your cube I'd much rather cut Stifle, especially if it's multiplayer based. -

I don't think I will run it but it could be interesting if this is a new effect, they have said land destruction isn't something they like but temporary mana denial seems like something red could do that plays well with what it does. (e.g. an aggressive red creature that keeps a land tapped down.)
Does not work, Force of Will exiles the blue card. Plus being pitchable to FoW is not how I'm ranking the cubeability of blue cards. -

wtwlf123 posted a message on [AKH][CUBE] Never // ReturnI think this is much better than Ruinous Path. Every time that you cast Path with <7 mana available (which is the majority of the time) you're only getting partial value. Every time I cast Never // Return I'll have an opportunity to get value from its second ability. The additional average value is going to be so much higher on this spell, despite the ceiling being slightly lower. Additionally, it provides more useful maindeckable graveyard hate, and another spell that can make Zombies for Gravecrawler and Sarcomancy! And if it's discarded (instead of cast), it can still be used from the 'yard. Seems great to me.Posted in: Cube Card and Archetype Discussion -

wtwlf123 posted a message on [AKH] [CUBE] Vizier of the MenagerieThe best selling point for this card is the weakness at green's 4cc creature slot. This card can be incredibly medium though, and ultimately I don't think it's going to be good enough.Posted in: Cube Card and Archetype Discussion - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

It is not that hard for me. A lot of decks in my cube would consider running both if they had the chance to put their hands on. But I can understand that it may varies a lot from one cube to another.
As a random looter, Baby Jace is better because he offers so much more. But as a digger, the merfolk is way better.

That's not exactly what I meant. The card is insane for sure.
I was just referring to the fact in some cases, when you need to draw/dig for combo pieces or when you want to fill up your yard with some stuff to accomplish something particular, Vryn's Prodigy isn't going to be your best buddy. So you'll maybe end up regretting one of the 3 other that I mentioned earlier. Otherwise, he'll be really great.
EDIT : I think I will look more into my storm section to find him a spot. Maybe Dream Halls.

He's a Hero of Oxid Ridge that hit slower, with no evasion, but that keeps your actual guys on board bigger and is easier to play. I also think he's more versatile in a deck that can use his ability. Quite good

It's just a opinion, but OMG that I don't like to do that. I trully unlike when I'm aware that card X isn't out there while card Y is in my face. Particulary true when you're running a combo-oriented cube.

Played that pile yesterday night and the deck was a pure bomb. Using NO, Eureka, Tinker and S&T to cheat fatties on the board. So many tutor and digging cards in. Was really nice to pilot as a 15-lands combo deck. Just wanted to share it out somewhere. Don't know if it is at the right place.
Other cheat cards in there are staples but does still Eureka nice for other player's groups? Definitely still is in mine.
