I personally dislike Murderous Cut a lot in this deck, and Fatal Push is the card that will now push it off a bridge like it deserves.
Now that it's been spoiled, I plan on doing a 2/2 split of Terminate and Fatal Push. I still think Terminate needs to be maindeck (also because of Chalice), but a couple Fatal Push is so good. I feel bad for Infect right now!
The other really nice thing about Fatal Push is that while it might be really good vs Delver and YP, it can't even touch Tasigur or Gurmag Angler. So decks that used to just run a bunch of Terminate now can draw more dead cards vs us.
Fatal push looks really good of course, but the things you dislike about m cut I personally think are really good. It can make tasigur activation's much more potent late game.
This removal spell is better in decks that don't have bolt already. Still great spoiler though.
Took the sample devotion lists and added setessan tactics to the deck. Looks hilarious with obliterator. Opinions? Can be good or too cute? Haven't decided about the sb yet

It would be different if we ran Mutavaults. I think it would be decent in Slivers and Merfolk. It doesn't work so well with us. The colorless mana is an issue and the primary issue at that. Even if it works for us, it would be primarily a sideboard card. We wouldn't want it in the main.
The new sweeper is an instant so it doesn't even counter it. Only thing it is good vs is pyroclasm. And being untapped on turn 2 is not where we want to be vs tron anyway.
I'm on board with mikeduges here. This is without a doubt one of the most vibrant, friendly, and growing communities I've had the pleasure of talking with. Go Elves!
@Mature
Does affinity feel that bad of a matchup for you to warrant running 3 Creeping Corrosion?
Elves community is strong. Actually Owl is the dude who got me in to the deck. Elves power!
We can goldfish about the same as affinity. With optimal hands I think it's about whoever is on the play. 2 fracturing gust/corrosion is fine imo and the beast within hitting inkmoth nexus is pretty sweet.
@Matsume I haven't had great success using hand disruption in this deck yet. Tried to duress a dude playing the time walk deck. He just remanded it and took 7 more turns. And vs Twin dismember and spellskite is usually what i go for as 1 for 1's arent super effective, especially vs rug and grixis twin. Agaisnt decks like jund we can apply enough pressure to overwhelm them.
I think we need reclamation sage somewhere to deal with eidolon. if it hits turn 2 its pretty rough.
@Matsume Thanks man! Much appreciated. Oh man, you made me curious as well. I was thinking, wait - did I run 61 cards? Turns out I only ran 3 x Dwynen's Elite on the day.
Oh boy, there were some exciting games alright. The Tron win, the Jeskai revenge game and the grindy come from behind final were definitely my top 3! The deck felt great all weekend, but definitely better with black.
I really liked maindeck Elvish Champion when I was playing white; I haven't tried him in black yet (mine is the guy version :P). I can see merit to having another lord, hitting it off CoCo is sweet and forestwalk can be very relevant (mirror/bogles/jund). I don't think I could ever go less than four visionaries though, I adore the card and feel it's so pivotal to the decks success.
Similar to what I just mentioned, the one canopy was great! I'd definitely love to up it to 2-3. Getting a re-draw at one of your gas cards (shaman/coco/chord) is a great option to have. I'm pretty happy with my sideboard at the moment, ideally I would like to try and fit in a Rec Sage somewhere though. Dude, try Beast Within for sure. It's been an all star for me, pretty decent against twin as well. What's your sideboard atm? With 9 black sources I've found Thoughtseizes quite easy to cast reliably.
Thanks for the kind words dude, can't wait to rep the deck at GP Melbourne. Are you Aus by any chance?
@amni_92 Cheers dude! Absolutely, hands down my favourite deck in modern and I strongly believe it's a solid Tier 1.5.
I've played a lot of white pre and post Magic Origins, and Ezuri is definitely a reliable win con on his own. It's just so nice having SOTP in black and not having to worry about this all in turn with an Ezuri pump as your Plan A of winning the game. I agree that LTS can lead to much more nuts turns, but I found that completely dumping your hand with a nuts Heritage Druid draw isn't always the way to go, especially for G2/G3. Sometimes, you won't even be able to cast the SOTP after a good lead, assuming you are using H-Druid to churn out your forces. It definitely is a preference of style thing. I'd much prefer to have what I want, when I want it. CoCo already leaves some things to chance, so I love the consistency of Chord.
As for Fulminator Mage v Beast Within, they both have their merits. Let me say though, the 3/3 is rarely a draw back if you are on the Ezuri plan, and by the time you have 2 x Lords out, those beasts are trading with 3/3 dorks or visionaries. As you mentioned, it is allllmost as instant as a Beast Within, with the one exception being that you can cast Beast Within off your elves and Elvish Archdruid, which was super handy in helping me defeat Tron during his upkeep. If I can get my hands on some fulminators I would be keen though! Beast Within also stops other non land threats
If your not running 4 tarns and 4 misty's id change the stomping ground to breeding pool. Seems pretty standard otherwise. In the V.Clique spot i'm currently trying baby jace. Also i like 1 maindeck anger of the gods in this current fast format

True, i figured i'd gain most of it back with kalitas/gary and brutality.

Played this deck a lot lately, the only match up i'm not happy about is tron. But Thalia can usually slow them down enough.
And 100 percent agree with polymorph on the 2 macabre and a jund charm in the board.
Have you considered warping wail in the spot of pilgrims eye? It's cmc is 1 less and it's a bit more versatile.
Being able to get back a threat seems good in the grindy match ups.
Just use horizon canopy
