ok, sorry i've read through these, but I still dont understand why psychatog is banned? its just assumed ban, but i'm curious what makes him so broken in the all common format?
don't really care if you disagree with what i'm doing, don't really need your imput, i didnt ask on your feelings on erratas, so just don't comment, you are really making this go off on a tangent, as you can see multiple people have done erratas for their cube, and i just wanted to know what other people had tried, not what you think of what i'm doing, thanks though.
simply put, unless you are specifically saying something about an errata you have tried in cube. please dont waste space on this thread.
thanks.
thats fine, i understand people have aversions to errating some cards in my cube, but i don't and neither does my playtest group. if it is still a fun format, it's a fun format, for example i have some custom cards also in my cube, none made by me, but by some of my friends, another reason making my cube an unique experience.
Chaos orb- yea i forgot that actually isnt how the card works, its been in my cube since day one with the same errata, i think its pretty necessary too.
Nissa- I had a friend who did something similar to that also, I only have 5 total planeswalkers in my cube, and garruck inches out nissa for my list.
i was curious if anyone else has some card errata's you have done for cube. for example my cube has Flamekin bladewhirl and the rest of that cycle in, but we errated the card to 'creature card that shares a color with' instead of the creature types. and it has been very positive so far.
I'm in the process of adding Phyrexian crusader also, but taking off infect for wither to make him playable in cube.
just curious of other people's thoughts they have done
here are 2 cycles of cards i'm working on
i want to make a time restrictions on spells, hopefully this can make it easier to up the power level
keep in mind these are
first drafts
1R
sorcery
(this) deals 4 damage to target player or creature
you may only play (this) during your precombat mainphase
End the turn
1U
sorcery
draw 2 cards
you may only play (this) during your precombat mainphase
End the turn
1G
sorcery
put a 3/3 elephant token into play
you may only play (this) during your precombat mainphase
End the turn
1B
sorcery
target player discards 2 cards, unless they discard a land card
you may only play (this) during your precombat mainphase
End the turn
1W
sorcery
Gain 8 life
you may only play (this) during your precombat mainphase
End the turn
i know some of these may be uneven powerwise, but im working with a different concept of what a drawback can be. a Rare for this cycle could be like
2UU
sorcery
take another turn after this one
you may only play (this) during your precombat mainphase
End the turn
I'm working on a cycle of Aura's that will get around the concept of Aura's being card disadvantage, even the Rav etbf auras were too weak.
so a couple ideas on this are
1RR
when you cast (this) put a 2/1 goblin creature token into play with haste, at beginning of the end step exile it.
enchanted creature gets +2/+0 and first strike
1WW
when you cast (this) exile target creature
enchanted creature gets +1/+1 and first strike
when (this) leaves the battlefield, return the exiled card to battlefield under it's owner's control
1GG
when you cast (this) search your library for a land card and put it into your hand
enchanted creature gets +2/+2
1BB
when you cast (this) target player discards 2 cards
enchanted creature has fear and B : this creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn
1UU
when you cast (this) return target non-land permanent to it's owner's hand
enchanted creature gets +1/+3 and flying
like i said, real rough draft on these cards.
let me know thoughts
yes, 3 eldrazi baddies i guess a part that caught my eye a bit was the 'colorless spells that can go into almost ANY deck"
i feel like any makes this sentence strange to me. could we still see restrictions on the colorless spells?
like
2 sorcery- rampant growth only if you control a forest
obviously that most likely isnt it. but the word Any there really sparked me more than the other info,
cool to see colorless spells, im sure they will be fine, nonle of the flame jav crew was too scary.
rebound definitely sounds like what rancor and buddies would have been keyworded. but we will see.
also as for Six posting the cards (albeit a little guised) seems like a poor choice. (unless you were told you could, but apparently someone else asked a similar Question and was told firm no)
doing such things could result in Wotc not doing such things anymore, if you are given this information to share, please respect their wishes.
prob not a popular stance among this forum but alas.
so we have Nissa, and Sorin fighting, what could be an eldrazi, or a a titan, but the big thing to pull from this art, is the 3rd person in the picture.
all you can see is a red cloak and a long pony tail
is this another walker?
im not up to date on my zen/planeswalker history, but i havent heard of planeswalkers even bothering to fight another side a non sparked being.
correct me if im wrong though.
but it seems we will have another walker to me, joining sorin and nissa to fight.
great art, i like the eldrazi/titan monster a lot.
I mean, who doesn't like their permanents to come into play untapped?
I'm fairly sure that, if you asked, all colours would prefer that their permanents came into play untapped rather than tapped, don't you think?
It'd be a pretty cheap shot if not everyone was invited!
1. so yes, its not kismet.
2. all colours* prefer this to happen
3. symmetrical
although being symmetrical i could see this
2
unfrozen void
If a perm. would etb tapped, it enters untapped instead.
yea this could be good with right cards, but i mean not format breaking for sure. even at 1cmc symmetrical it wouldnt be the most amazing card unless some crazy combo came out with it.
another thought with saying all colours like this
2
colored unfrozen void
if a coloured perm. (or perm. of colour :p) would etb tapped, it enters untapped instead.
either way, this card seems fun, and im sure all those edh players and cas guys would love this and try to build around and break it.
simply put, unless you are specifically saying something about an errata you have tried in cube. please dont waste space on this thread.

i mean this plus abyssal persecutor is good right?
id like to see a few more playable standard cards for sure.
U instant
draw three cards, you get 9 poison counters
