Yup, shrouded things can't be targeted by counters, bounce, kill, abilities, etc. but they can still be hit by global effects. good and bad. Vexing Shusher could help since you're in green.
Spells with Shroud can be countered
They are not permanents in play, so they can be countered as anything else since they are still spells and they are not permanents
(Rule 502.36 Shroud)
Shadowmoor precons are very good
I really liked the :symw:Turnabout:symg: precon
Maybe an Eventide Themed Deck could be useful too
They are Dual colors and have many hybrid cards which is easy to cast
Another ides is going Gold (Pure Multicolor) with one of the Alara Reborn Themed Decks
I believe, in this case, the :symr::symg: precon is very good
It has Spellbreaker Behemoth which is a good creature to start with, in my opinion
@Archbounds:
You are right, maybe a Mono-Color Deck could be better
Anyway, if your friend wants an easy one, search for a Mono-Color Deck
If he wants to keep gaming, I'd suggest a Dual-Color Deck. It will be harder, but it can be improved in more ways
The angel art probably isn't for Threaten, since flavor-wise it doesn't match at all. Unholy Strength and Fallen Angel came to mind immediately when I saw the art, and I'm leaning towards Fallen Angel. That card hasn't ever had good artwork IMO. The angel getting ready to strike down the soldier fits with her sacrifice ability and flavor text, too, should they keep it.
If you want to have MANY Saprolings (Point of View 1), I recommend you having White:symw: and Green:symg: as your colors
Thanks to Ravnica, the Selesnya Combination makes a huge amount of Saprolings from may ways Supply, Scatter the Seeds, Selesnya Guildmage or Vitu-Ghazi
Then, you can cast an Echoing Courage and Swarm with many Saprolings
Even, Leyline of the Meek can help you (It can come into play without paying mana cost if you start with it in your hand)
Since with this point of view you are interested in putting into play many Saprolings, Doubling Season is very good
Doubling Season is not as effective in this point of view, since you want to have many Fungus, not many Spore Counter on thos eFungus, so you need the mana to cast more Fungus rather than using it on a Doubling Season (This is what I think, I will try to use Doubling season more in my Fungus Deck and I will tell you)
You can protect Thelon of Havenwood with Verdant Embrace so it becomes a 5/5 that pumps your Fungus and puts tokens into play to chump block your opponent's creatures
In both cases, I insist, Fecundity is awesome, since your creatures will die more often than your opponent's creatures, you will draw more cards than them and you will have access to mana and big creatures sooner
Sorry for the BIG post
I hope my experience helped you a little (I have a Fungus deck and a Saproling deck, and I have seen that they have different goals...)
I recomend you using Utopia Mycon from Future Sight
It fixes your mana and allows you to cast faster that Mycoloth
Also I recommend using Fecundity
It appeared in 8th, so it is Extended, and will allow you to get cards faster since Saprolings usually get killed easily
I am new in this kind of contest, so I do not think my ideas will be good ones
Some of them are chosen by some other members, so I may be repeating the ideas
We need much Mana Acceleration, since the thoctar has a CMC (Converted Mana Cost) of 6
That is why I decided to go through the Instant Mana route (Seething Song and Dark Ritual)
And also it is a Multicolor Creature, so we need both color in play
That is why there are Badlands, Blood Crypt, Bloodstained Mire, Vivid Crag and Vivid Marsh in this build (I know it is expensive, but it is necessary because of the CMC of Deathbringer Thoctar)
But, if you have also enchanted your Deathbringer Thoctar with Sadistic Glee, the party comes twice as fun: Ping a creature, deathtouch triggers and get 2 +1/+1 counters. Then, ping your opponent to death
As the Gruul Tribe and Borborygmos says... "Crush 'em!"
If you want to wreak havoc with your huge creatures with no evasion, why don't you use Predatory Focus ?
This way, even if you do not have Trample, you can smash your opponent's face quite well
This way, you do not have to shut down Muraganda Petroglyphs to get your damage going through the blocking creatures
Then Wound Reflection is not as much terrifying as I thought for Two-Headed Giant
It is better for Multiplayer games, like free for all, better than 2 Headed Giant, isn't it ?
i was wondering if a player casts Dread Return with its Flashback ability and Thorn of Amethyst is in play, will he/she have to pay that extra due to Thorn of Amethyst ?
Thanks a lot and have a nice day

The land comes into play untapped
And, since you only are using Forests, I believe it is better than Rampant Growth in this deck...
I hope this helps
Have a nice day !
Good Luck everybody
Let us fight for this great game !
Better an Aggro Elves than the ElfBall deck...
It can always be improved and get more and more cards
I believe he wants to say which of the Themed Sealed Decks is better to start with, that is why I answered those things before
I really liked the :symw:Turnabout:symg: precon
Maybe an Eventide Themed Deck could be useful too

I have a Ninja deck and I use other artifact as backup for my ninjas: Whispersilk Cloak
When I have Higure, The Still Wind equipped with this, Ninja of the Deep Hours or Throat Slitter, I almost win all the Time
Would you mind explaining how good is Shuriken, please ? How can I use it efficiently in Mid-Game ?
I believe it should be Perish
And Green will have something like Lifeforce, Compost, Whirling Dervish, Mire Boa or Thelon's Chant
Well, Black has Deathgrip, Tourach's Chant and Dunerider Outlaw...
I agree with you two, it is Fallen Angel
I do not like the Sphinx either...
I have tested both and combining them is not quite useful:
1.- Point of View of Saprolings
2.- Point of View of Fungus
Whith this I want to tell you that you can have a LOT of Saprolings or very good Fungus which use the Saprolings as backup
Mycoloth fits well in both cases, but only Mycoloth (Maybe Doubling Season too... But I am not quite sure...)
If you want to have MANY Saprolings (Point of View 1), I recommend you having White:symw: and Green:symg: as your colors

Since with this point of view you are interested in putting into play many Saprolings, Doubling Season is very good
The other point of view, is punping your Funfus using Thelon of Havenwood
You also have very good Fungus without looking at Mycoloth:
Sporesower Thallid, Sporoloth Ancient and Deathspore Thallid as Parabola01 said

Deck:
4x Deathbringer Thoctar
4x Vebulid
Mana Acceleration (8):
4x [card=Seething Song|Mirrodin]Seething Song
4x Dark Ritual
Search for Thoctar or Quietus(2):
2x Diabolic Tutor
3x Power Conduit
3x Quietus Spike
4x Sadistic Glee
Instants(8):
4x Terminate
4x Terror
4x Badlands
4x Blood Crypt
4x Bloodstained Mire
3x Vivid Crag
3x Vivid Marsh
3x Swamp
3x Mountain
Ideas:
Deathbringer Thoctar: This card is a must since it belongs to this round
We need much Mana Acceleration, since the thoctar has a CMC (Converted Mana Cost) of 6
That is why I decided to go through the Instant Mana route (Seething Song and Dark Ritual)
And also it is a Multicolor Creature, so we need both color in play
That is why there are Badlands, Blood Crypt, Bloodstained Mire, Vivid Crag and Vivid Marsh in this build (I know it is expensive, but it is necessary because of the CMC of Deathbringer Thoctar)
You can play Deathbringer Thoctar as fast as turn 2: Swamp + Mountain + Dark Ritual + Seething Song
A first turn Vebulid can make miracles once you have Power Conduit
When you get Deathbringer Thoctar attached with Quietus Spike, the party starts...
Deathbringer Thoctar + Deathtouch is AWESOME !
But, if you have also enchanted your Deathbringer Thoctar with Sadistic Glee, the party comes twice as fun: Ping a creature, deathtouch triggers and get 2 +1/+1 counters. Then, ping your opponent to death
Power Conduit allows you to have +1/+1 counters on Deathbringer Thoctar without needing to kill anything (Vivid Marsh, Vivid Crag and Vebulid)
Terminate and Terror are here for spot removal so you can defend yourself while your Deathbriger Thoctar gets bigger and bigger at the same Time
I hope you like these ideas
Have a nice day, everybody !

I also was thinking about Necroskitter and Deathtouch
That solves my problem about Deathtouch and Wither
Thanks a lot
