I prefer the +2/+2 counter instead of X +1/+1 counters, because if it was X +1/+1 counters, that would make a Simic deck very powerful !!!
Just combine this card with the Simic ability...
And it has lots of abilities like Akroma, 'cause is the counterpart of that Legend

Removed the Sub-Type Lord because Wizards of the Coast has removed it from every other card
Added "Vampire offering" because it sounds flavor, the Fist Vampire needs even Vampire Blood to live (Or should I say un-live?), and that is the fifth ability
[Vampire offering (You may play this card any Time you could play an instant by sacrificing a Vampire and paying the difference in mana costs between this and the sacrified Vampire. Mana cost includes color)]
I haven't inserted the Pete Venters picture of Baron Sengir, because he has no sword or weapon on it, and I believe that Vampires should have a sub-type too, as this card which is a Knight

I thought that, if it is the First Vampire, it should have all the abilities other Vampires you control have. Although this, I do not know how to write that it only has one ability of each kind... I mean, if you have 2 Sengir Vampires, I want it not to get 2 +1/+1 counters when kills a creature...

Protection from White is because Sengir is the arch-enemy of Serra, only because that (Its flavor!)
If it is the first Vampire, it should make new Vampires... But at a cost, as a Vampire can only create new Vampires giving that creature some of his/her blood.

I stopped playing Magic after Mirage, and I returned after Mirrodin, so I lost lots of things
I just hoped for that...
I know that the Sengir family was from Urgotha, but I hoped for that, for a rebirth of thar family... Because the Homelands set left a door open (Literally, beneath the bowels of their castle)
By the way, don't you think that the image of the Sengir Nosferatu looks more like a Zombie than a Vampire ?

As a lot of people have said, it is quite flavoured
But I can't see an ability that remembers a Sengir Vampire
All right... He's a 4/4 with Flying, a Vampire and costs :3mana::symb::symb:
But what about getting pumped ?
I hoped for a new battle beetwen Serra and Sengir, as it was when Magic started... But now...
Even, I hoped for that picture to be the new or renewed Sengir himself; who has learnt about the secrets of the Portal beneath de Dungeons of the Castle Sengir
(I don't know how to add a picture i have in my hard drive, where, in the comic of Homelands it explains about this portal...)
Oh, well... I guess that 'that' is the closest thing we'll ever get of a Sengir Resurection...
Or, even better, the Baron after discovering the secrets of the Portal beneath the dungeons of his castle... A better Baron Sengir

That and finding that the Orb said Sengir appeared 3 times in the set gave me hope for a better world of vampires and Sengir... But, if you look at the card of Sengir Autocrat, that word appears 3 times
All my hopes gone away with the wind...

Jaya is AWESOME for Burn Decks...
I'd rather tan Jaya using the second hability, like incinerate, and discard a Shock on my hand instead of using that Shock !
And the Angel is GREAT for White-Weenie Decks
Every turn you put one or two low-cost creatures... Wo, a 3/3, or even two of them in turn 4 can make your day !
Now, put a Banshee's Blade on one of them and start growing them up wach turn thanks to Vigilance
Even, you can start dealing more and more damage to your opponent thanks to it's Flying ability
Like every card in Magic (Well... Almost) both have their good and bad things, but both are very playable
