Are you kidding? Mudhole is powerful enough as it is. Under some circumstances it can even give Tarmogoyf, the best creature in the game, -1/-1!!!!
Anyhow, I think Endless Horizons is one of the best designed cards I've seen in a while. Note that you don't have to pull out all of your Plains... you can pull out 4 or 5 for some card advantage and not have to worry about getting mana-screwed if it's disenchanted. Late in the game you can always pull a full Mana Severance if desired. Quite a few options.
I just thought up the coolest block idea I have had all day.
Current Dominaria (post Time Spiral) Dominaria, Lovecraftian fantasy...throw in refferences to the Cats of Ulthar, Dream Quest of Unkown Kadath, etc. but with a strong Cthulhu mythos style element as well.
I would like to endorse this product and/or service.
However, it would have to be a bit more fantasy / mystery based to separate it from The Dark and Shadowmoor.
Armageddon seems like an awesome choice - a classic (Ehrnamageddon anyone?). Has anyone made a list of the currently-played legacy/vintage cards that are eligible to appear in Master's Edition? I would guess that most of them will be in the set.
Yeah - I don't know how I feel. Juzam used to be THE card to get - the paper one goes for ~$150 or so (due mostly to low supply). Now Juzam will be a 1 tix rare on MTGO (if even that). Who's going to respect that? It kind of tarnishes its image.
The more I think of it, the more i believe that reprinting these cards is a bad idea in the long run. It might even bring down the cost of the "paper" versions because there will be fewer people "chasing" them.
At the end of the day, I see this as a clever business plan to ease the pain of upgrading to MTGO v3.0. And those who have done the v3 beta test would probably agree that this will be a very painful process.
And the beef I've always had with MODO? You don't actually own the virtual cards. You have a provisional right to use virtual cards at Wizards's discretion that can be revoked at any time.
Actually - when you get a set you can redeem them for "real" cards (many people do this). This is why you can buy / sell MODO on eBay as opposed to WoW stuff.
So... has WotC ever given a set a code name that reflects what the set is about? Is the Peanut set about peanuts? No. So why would the Jurassic set be about dinosaurs? Too obvious...
Also, they would have to get heaps of new art for the set (if about dinosaurs) - and we probably would've heard about this.
I agree with B.Lotus - it will be a Chronicles-style set with old cards. They already have the art on-line, they just need to code the cards. I'd buy it...
First, will these cards be standard legal? I mean, is it going to be a MTGO "Unhinged", or real cards you can play with in tourneys.
Second, does "Jurassic" mean that the expansion will be about dinosaurs ( think Imperiosaur) - OR will this expansion have heaps of classic cards not available on-line. I'm crossing my fingers that there will be Moxes, Force of Will, and other staples that on the current release schedule (when is Weatherlight coming out on-line?) will never see the light of day.
So here's hoping for a better classic / legacy card pool on-line. If they did that... they'd make so much money it would make Bill Gates blush.
A five color pre-con? The only way this would work is if you had some sure-fire way to get all five colors. One possibility:

Question: do you think that the Tips & Tricks cards will appear in the MTGO boosters? That would seem quite silly to me to have those on-line. I'd prefer that all MTGO 10th edition boosters have token cards!
Yes, there's usually some guy in the "/join gleemax" room that gives out the Gleemox. You just have to wait long enough for him / her to show up. I got one - they should be fun to play in Freeform.

Your talking about the things VenserTheNewPlaneswalker said, one of them was sliver legion as u already said. Another was that cards/timeshifted cards(can't remember which) were going to have symbols on them to represent their type, claw for creature, lightning bolt for instant, chalice for artifact(I think) can't remember the rest. Venser also said there would be textless cards in Future Sight that would be like the promos for Champs and MPR.
