I'm not sure if asking whether he's cult is necessary. I don't think that he is, but even if he was, what motivation would he have to tell the truth about it? Eyebrow

I don't much like the second question, either, but I guess that's mostly my own personal line of thinking as to playing this game.

It's unoriginal because all it does is take a regular spell (Swerve) and doubles it.

    [...]

    Is that original?

I don't think we're thinking of the same Swerve, given that the only one I know of redirects a spell, and has nothing to do with copying it. Our spell is nothing like Swerve. :p

Anyway, AI, I think the flavour text should have something to do with the art. Battery and lightning don't quite mesh in my mind.

I'm not convinced by the argument that it's "not too original". What are all of the possible cards you're comparing it to? Wild Ricochet? Wild Ricochet changes the target of a spell, and then copies it. If you're targeting an opponent's spell, you've effectively just countered a spell while copying it twice. This doesn't do anything to the original spell. If you Ricochet your own spell (you're probably either dumb or in a really bad place :ugh:), you only get one copy, and maybe a change of target (if, say, the original target was removed). This, however, can also do things Ricochet can't, such as copying two different spells on the stack. Not likely to happen often, but it's not an impossibility.

I like this card as our submission.

Edit: My mind might not be in the right place right now, so if there's something searingly obvious I've overlooked, please chalk it up as "alright, just completely disregard Ravus (again)". Uhh

The only problem I have with the card is two things, one: The name, hopefully Sarkhan the Mad is not the final name for this card. Fingers crossed.

We've got official images of "Sarkhan the Mad" straight from WotC, so I'm fairly sure that's the official name. But I don't really have a problem with it. It fits, and somehow appeals to me as if it's hearkening back to a time when whimsically added-on words could play the part of an actual name.

two: Is it just me, or does the art look like Sarkhan is a grizzled samurai? Just an observation.

    What? Uhh

This deck is very cool. "What's that? Izzet Dragons?" :p

I'm so disappointed that you had to besmirch yourself with an "Izzet-sounds-like-is-it" pun. No

It does look fun in a stupid kind of way, though. But "top sixteen" on a Game Day doesn't sound particularly encouraging to me. rollout

As hard as I might have tried to post here on Saturday, something always comes up. This weekend I was coerced into assisting in the building of a fence. Way too much digging. In the sun. Slant

Wait is there three scum or two in this game?

Nice attempt at dissuasion. If there were three scum, surely you'd've won last night, no? Is that so?
    Quote from Gigas »
AI, could you mod-prod Ravus and/or Lucknorris?

Again, sorry, I tried to post Saturday. Sweat

But honestly, showing up so late, I was expecting to be lynched, as I was horrified that you (Gigas) were going to vote for me. Muh

    Vote: Lucknorris.

It's down to Gigas' decision. Victory for the town or mafia comes down to his vote (as surely Luck will vote for me... that he hasn't already is interesting). Nothing more I can really do but point to the evidence against the both of us. Luck's been acting fishy all game long, and the case against me is that the nightkilling "seems appropriate for Dimir", which I would still argue doesn't hold any weight.

Oh and in case I get night killed...

    Warning - Gaming The Mod:

The night kill flavors don't match to selesnya...Dimir seems much more likely to make them disappear... Not too major, but definitely makes me think Ravus is likely scum

That does seem pretty mod-gamey, given that just RFG'ing them makes more sense game-wise than stating outright that they got saproling'd to death. And don't the mafia as a whole usually have the nightkill, not just the one player?

Here are some I could find.

Not the best, but it was the best I could find.

If that first image were given a negative-effect, it would appear kinda blue-red (a bluish-white tinge for the black, and a pinkish hue for the green) wouldn't it? Otherwise the third is the best choice, but looks pretty out of place in the background. Also looks a lot like a brain.

Edit: I figure the reason night one didn't have a nightkill is because I was targeted. Though I don't know why I would've been, given Cyouni...

My ability is called Holiness, it does this:

You cannot be lynched as long as another player of your faction lives. If you receive enough votes to be lynched, the Day ends in a No Lynch instead. Note that you may still die via other means and any other actions still affect you.

That is why am I'm a town evangel.

That sounds a lot like "oh, lynching me is useless, so don't do it please", but I'm not sure I want to take that chance, given that it seems a good parallel to AE's claim... :erk:

I suppose if Luck can't be lynched, we ought to get Auron, as he has been the next scummiest player. Then we can lynch Luck.
    Quote from Kid »
I agree with SA, pending claim by ravus

I am going to be honest with you, as not doing so would be get me lynched anyway. I have gone out of my way to avoid claiming--not because I am scum, but because my role looks particularly suspicious, and I would almost certainly get lynched for it. I can't be the target of abilities, and my guild is obviously the most suspicious (Dimir).

The flavour is that I can't be seen, being the "guild of shadows", and is a role that interested me very much until I realized claiming would likely ☺☺☺☺ me. I can't be nightkilled, so I am a counter to the mafia, but my guild could easily lead me to being mislynched.

Now, I don't know how to convince you not to lynch me tomorrow, given that if I am scum I would win if not lynched, but it's between Luck and I now (lynching Auron is the most obvious choice for tonight), and a mislynch would be fatal to the town. All I can do is urge you to lynch Luck, the scummier player. Shrugs

Yeah, I mistyped that post. I meant to ask your ability / "full" role. What does being a "town evangel" mean?

I can help find a picture. What kind of thing are we looking for?

A weird. Some plasmatic blob of... for ☺☺☺☺'s sake, Firefox doesn't recognize "plasmatic" as a word. Facepalm

    A plasmatic blob, pretty much.

I was scared of cyouni because I saw him polishing a sword, so I froze him

In all fairness, I'm wouldn't turn someone to stone just for polishing a weapon in front of me, but I guess this is fantasy, afterall... and not me. rollout

I'm not sure I believe that claim, given that Razia's sword was made of fire (:isthatso:), but I feel more than confident lynching Luck right now.
    Quote from Kid »
As far as flavor, it was exactly the same as cyouni's, confirming to me that he and I were blocked by the same person, namely SA.

And wasn't Clayton(?)'s flavour also the same, if vague? I don't think Auron could've blocked both Cyouni and Clayton that first night. But then, I can't really pose any alternative possibility, either. Shrugs

EBWODP: As far as the wincon, he wanted my specific wincon (as a way to trap/confirm me based on his) which, when I was a mod, I took as pm quoting, so I didn't want to quote my wincon.

Fair enough. Like I said, I wouldn't have put up with that sort of demand, either, without any basis.

At this point, I don't think Lucknorris is a very good lynch. I believe Joboman's investigation of him as town.

And I disagree, as I feel it's pretty obvious that Cyouni was paranoid (a scum cop would just be dumb in this game), and if joboman copied his role, surely his investigation would also be paranoid?
    Quote from Gigas »
    Meaning your role is...?

"Town evangel" would sound like a cult to me, if Rakdos weren't already around. rollout

    What is your role, Luck?
