Ok I confess, I'm a total fan of the Faerie tribe of Lorwyn-Shadowmoor. I started playing them immediately when Lorwyn came out and just loved their general theme, play style and fantastic artwork. Everyone else kind of thought of them as a fun joke that wouldn't really stand up to the other tribes but little did they know what storm was brewing...
So I merrily collected and bought tons of Faerie Foils cause I just loved the children of Oona so much, of course they ended up being the best tribe and the prices of Foils went up. It was a great investment to say the least.
I thought I'd share with you some of my more favourite Foils - My favourite is probably Nightshade Stinger in Foil, they have a fantastic glow to them and they make for awesome alternative Bitterblossom tokens.
I took some of the photos with flash to enhance their colours, but others looked better without it (All the cards pictured are Foil).
Here they are:

Glad to see this thread is still up. Its been a while...
I'm not going to into an in-depth rant, but I feel that getting punished for little things like posting in the wrong forum, not using deck tags, double posting, etc. is just ridiculous.
It would be much more pleasant to come here if you did not have to triple check yourself before doing absolutely anything.

Perhaps to you, but I think suspending someone longer for evading a suspension is ridiculous. If a kid playing on a playground is in trouble for throwing things at other kids, and is put on a bench for time-out, and that kid decides to get up and do the same thing, an appropriate responce is not to put him back on the bench and say he has to stay there longer. The appropriate response is to remove him from the playground.
But do you remove the kid from a playground forever, or let him/her come back the next day/week? Its all about the appropriate response, which in this case is way to severe.
Your status as a moderator on another forum is a mute point. You're not one on this forum, and here, we know what we're doing with our policies. What works for your forum isn't necessarily what will work for ours, and vice versa.
My status as global moderator on another forum has nothing to do with this, all I'm saying is that I understand many of the issues and points you men and women (mods) are making, and I am taking them into account when I respond to each post.
We certainly can't stop them from trading with someone while suspended. Something we can do, is stop them from doing it on our site.
But is it really worth losing a valuble member of your site (Stu was one of the origionals from MTG News even) over something like a PM offer? This is little crap, and is not permaban worthy.
In the end, our rules are very clear on what happens when someone evades their suspension on our site. stu55 was even a Moderator on this site, so he has no excuse for not knowing our policies.
Sure, except for the fact that this is a relatively new rule. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Stu was demodded BEFORE the rule was put into place.
As to the suspension system, this is a revamp. Not all that long ago the users asked for, and recieved, a change in how such things were handled. What we have now is the result.
So your telling me that you listened to the users as far as how suspensions should be handled? I would not have granted them access to private messaging. Its not only dangerous, but also a way to give them access to the forums and discussion even though they have been suspended for a reason.
I don't think that suspended users should be awarded the use of PMs when they are supposed to be taking a break from posting/communicating on MTGS for the amount of time they are suspended for.
You didn't answer my question. When the action is suspension evasion, what else can be an appropriate response other than a ban?
This is where the problem lies. There is a flaw here, because banning a member for suspension evasion is rediculous.
I truely believe that the suspension system is flawed, and no, this is not because Stu is a friend. Do not forget, I am a moderator on a very large forum, I know how this stuff works too.
I simply think that if a user evades his/her suspension, the user should have another punishment, which should be more harsh. Something like the time doubled and the PM system shut off. Or, simply revise the system and create email addresses to remove this and related problems in general.
Also, I think it is important to note that if a suspended member wants to get ahold of someone about trading business, they are going to no matter what. There are so many things out there like AIM, other chat services, other forums, and email that you CANNOT cut all communication between the suspended member and a normal user. I think it would be proper to either revise the suspension system, or revise the punishment given to members who evade their suspension.
I'll try to put some scans together. My home computer has a bunch of spyware on it and I'll have to hook up the scanner to my laptop

Yeah, this didn't need to be said. Warning.
Again, I'm not playing favorites. But, I cannot blame you for thinking I am, honestly. I'm just realizing some of the flaws I see.
