Oros interacts very nicely with Deathtouch equipment like Quietus Spike and Basilisk Collar. Blightning as an instant!? Too good!
Oops, I meant Bituminous Blast.
I'm definitely going to find Vicious Shadows and Repercussion!
For the lands, the deck works quite well since I count artifact acceleration as lands (with that I'd have 37 total) plus I have Land Tax to tutor if ever and Thawing Glaciers. But I guess I'll add one or two more lands to make it more consistent.
Profane Command is pretty bad in this deck because I usually don't have critters in my yard to recur or critters to give fear. I think it's pretty inefficient to just deal damage + kill a critter when there are (possibly) better cards.
The idea of the deck is to control the board with my sweepers and sac effects then win with Enchantments/Walkers/Artifacts.
If I don't find any other efficient means to win with Enchantments/Walkers/Artifacts then I'll add more critters + equipment.
Hi all, here is my Oros EDH deck. Basically all I need is a better win condition because hondens and Searing Meditation are quite inefficient.
I don't have no access to Moat, Sorin, and Gideon admittedly Sorin would fix the problem so quickly.
The plans is to kill all critters and make sure they all die c/o sac effects. Win with other ways
I don't have Pestilence or Pyrohemia in because I don't think I'd have enough mana. I'd also need an efficient means to gain life as I usually tutor for Necro or Arena.
Cards I want to remove include Ajani, hondens, firemane + searing, Dega Sanctuary, Storm Herd, Profane Command
So here's the scenario with Brainfreeze assuming one has infinite storm and you play it against an opponent who has ten cards left (leaving one card), will everything be milled?
What if the opponent has Gaea's Blessing somewhere in the library.
1. Since I have infinite storm, are there any shortcuts that will assume that Gaea's Blessing will be in the last card slot so you can put the trigger on the stack and use an instant draw spell to force the opponent to be unable to draw cards?
2. What if the opponent's library isn't divisible by 3 and assuming the remainders won't be milled, is there a shortcut that assumes Gaea's Blessing will be one of those remainder cards?
How do the situations change if Brainfreeze was a Grindstone instead?
I'm planning to get some cube drafting started in my play community. And I was wondering if the matches that we play, with an 8-man draft, would be sanctioned, and if yes which part of the ratings do they go to?
Also if we do have packs from older sets, and decided to draft with them, are they ok to be sanctioned? Like packs from Kamigawa block. What about if you had mixed boosters from different expansions?
Hi guys. Mondu kindly asked me to provide input in this forum, the list that you saw in the link is mine.
Stifle can only be considered to be a powerhouse if your metagame includes lots of combo, decks with multiple fetches (in every round), etc. So tailor it to your metagame. If you see Stifle working for you then include it, if not, don't.
If you don't have any knowledge of the metagame then it's better in the side.
As for the cards that you would want to replace with the Mana Drains and Power, the default would be Counterspell. You will definitely need another land to replace the Black Lotus. And Ancestral Recall replacements bring to fore a large amount of discussion.
Serum Visions/Sleigh of Hand for brain dead CA or Impulse for card selection. If you tailor your sideboard as quality vs. quantity then perhaps Impulse/Telling Time is the stronger choice.
If you expect a lot of Control Slaver then it would be wise to include 1-2 copies of Misdirection.
I'm a fan of the Countertop soft lock but sometimes it doesn't really do much if for example the meta is filled with Workshop-based decks. If you sense a creature-dominated format then Vedalken Shackles is the way to go. It is however great to have in play when you are playing against a MS Paint deck or Control Slaver or Combo.
The loss of Mana Drain means not using Nev's Disk so you MAY also consider Powder Keg as a board sweeper of sorts.
Otherwise you can always go old school with Exalted Angel.
Personally, I'd like to load my sideboard with more Workshop hate but at that day I had the good fortune of not playing against any of them. Just Ichorid. Twice.

As the dude above mentioned, he plays regularly in tournaments and his dad is an accomplished player.
Also Kurt plays Eternal too, that's more interactions and strategy he knows than the average player.

If I discard a card to play a spell c/o Dream Halls with CMC above 3 do I need to pay 3 colorless to play the spell?
Why or why not?
My question is, how come with Gifts, you can opt to choose less than 4. But with Intuition, you are required to pick three cards.
Also if we do have packs from older sets, and decided to draft with them, are they ok to be sanctioned? Like packs from Kamigawa block. What about if you had mixed boosters from different expansions?

Once again your call.
I hope I helped.
