Also, the futureshifted reprint of pestilence was not played, why pestilence should be?
Pyrohemia was a timeshifted card from Planar Chaos. Those cards would have no effect on the originals not being reprinted as long as the effect is still found in the original color.
For example, Brute Force, the timeshifted version of Giant Growth was printed in Planar Chaos but has not been rerpinted since. Giant Growth on the other hand has been printed about 3 times since.
When they showed the game off a long time ago it had the same rules as it does today. The rules are still not exactly the same, but the new M10 rules are closer to the ones in Duels. It was most likely delayed from Microsoft for the certification process and stuff.
Makes you wonder if they'll release add-ons ala-Rock Band for $10 to give you more diverse card pool.
I don't think it'll be $10 but when the Achievements were confirmed, there were other achievements relating to a Duel of the Dragons or something like that expansion. It'll probably be like a $5 add-on with more cards and more opponents coming out like a month after the game does.
Just been on Gatherer looking for something completely unrelated and came across this:
"You may playArmor of Thornsany time you could play an instant. If it was played any time a sorcery couldn't have been played, it gains substanceuntil end of turn and when it loses substance, sacrifice it."
Wut?
I understood the original wording:
"You may choose to play ~ as an instant; if you do, bury it (natch!) at end of turn"
But what is "substance" and what is that roundabout way of saying something really simlple?
Edit:
Wow! Look at Thawing Glaciers!!
Thawing Glaciers (0)
Land Thawing Glaciers comes into play tapped.
, : Search your library for a basic land card, put that card into play tapped, then shuffle your library. Thawing Glaciers gains substance until end of turn. Return Thawing Glaciers to its owner's hand when it loses substance.
Substance is a keyword created when they went to release Mirage online. They cleaned up the wording and added Substance to try to make the card easier to understand and make it possible to work on MTGO.
I would not expect Substance to ever be printed on another card.
I meant the site, but I didn't know the others were official as well. How can you tell? (Just out of curiosity, no offense meant.)
PureMTGO is the largest fan site related to MTGO with 2 articles daily. WOTC has given them preview articles before. If you're a primarily paper player, then I could see why you haven't heard of them, but they're very legit.
Daze would definitely help. Free counters are always very valuable. Of course you have to have played first in order to get that to work but it'd at least give you a better shot at keeping your hand together.
Creature - Human Wizard

BDM's article was posted early on Daily MTG. It's been removed now, but here's the card.
Sorcery (Rare)

Nothing too surprising to me. And it confirms I only need 1 Strip Mine so I'll only buy 1 copy of FTV:E.

I'm very happy to hear this confirmed from Wizards themselves
