It's the beginning of the end, and I look forward to it with a smile.

A world government wouldn't work if model after the UN. The idea that some countries have veto power, is dumb. I think we need to go back to the drawing table for a world government.

Clinton could have used a little more tact to make his point. He became completely unhinge in that interview.

I believe he tried to get OBL, but he didn't need to attack Wallace, Fox News, or Bush. There was no need for that.

You know, a debator and a moderator outright said that my words and thoughts are not mine own.

Who the hell do you think you are Stax? You are not a god, no matter what your ego says. You know nothing about me and I take high offense that you think you do. I can easily say the same thing about you, however I won't lower myself to that tactic. You should be ashame of yourself.

I think this tactic should be outlawed and treated as Trolling. As far as anyone knows, people's opinions are their own and should never be called into question unless the accuser is willing to prove it.

I understand that you have concerns, but this is not the proper way to voice them. Infraction issued.

Are you kidding? I'd love three arms. Assuming the limb is functioning, it gives the kid a ton of advantages in everyday life. This is what halts evolution, people. That kid could have been the greatest drummer in history.

What's so great about being just like everyone else? Everyone else is miserable.
I'd agree with you, but chronoplasm didn't post an article if the third are was functioning or not.

I would have amputated the kid's arm. Why? Because whether or not I feel the need to conform to society, and whether I feel conforming to society is good or not, I still want my child to be able to live his life without being ridiculed because of a third arm that couldv'e gone away when he was an infant. I couldn't imagine how this kid might feel years from now if his arm wasn't amputated. The childhood ridiculaling that almost certainly would have occured would cause much more trauma to the kid than amputation.
I agree. I would have hated my parents if they didn't do that for me.

Though, to offer a differing point of view, my parents often let me define what was and wasn't acceptable behavior in different situations. In part because they wanted me to craft my own boundaries and also in part because they trusted that they had raised me well enough in the preceding sixteen years that I would (more often than not) make choices that they would have made for me. That didn't always turn out to be the case (though logically, I don't think anyone would expect that), but I think both my parents and I would agree that even in my failings, there was something to be learned. And in many cases, those lessons could only be learned through the freedom I had to draw my own lines.

I don't for a second believe that this sort of parenting would work for every teen. In fact, I doubt it'd be successful for most of them. But I did want to note that parents aren't always the ones to draw lines in the sand for their kids. Whether anyone thinks this is appropriate at all is another story, of course.
This is not a case of making your own boundaries. It's about knowing boundaries that others set for you.

If the school and your parents says no, then that means no. You didn't go to school in just a bow-tie, did you? Even at sixteen there were rules of the house, no?

School systems need to grow up and realize that grinding is the "new wave" of dancing, much like the "mashed-potatoe" and the "twist" were controversial and disapproved of in their day. Granted they were not nearly as graphic as grinding, but its a new expression in dancing and school dances should not be canceled for that fact it is done.
I have to disagree with you on this...

Now I don't think of myself as "right-wing," but there must be a line drawn in the sand. There has to be some sensibility when in sociable setting. Grinding just isn't cool at school.

President George W. Bush goes to a primary school to talk to the kids to get a little good press.

After his talk he offers question time. One little boy puts up his hand and George asks him his name.

    "Stanley," responds the little boy.

"And what is your question, Stanley?"

"I have 4 questions: First, why did the USA invade Iraq without the support of the UN? Second, why are you President when Al Gore got more votes? Third, whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden?" Fourth, why are we so worried about gay-marriage when 1/2 of all Americans don't have health insurance?

Just then, the bell rings for recess. President Bush informs the kiddies that they will continue after recess.

When they resume George says, "OK, where were we? Oh, that's right, question time. Who has a question?"

Another little boy puts up his hand. George points him out and asks him his name.

    "Steve," he responds.

"And what is your question, Steve?"

"Actually, I have 6 questions. First, why did the USA invade Iraq without the support of the UN? Second, why are you President when Al Gore got more votes? Third, whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden? Fourth, why are we so worried about gay marriage when 1/2 of all Americans don't have health insurance? Fifth, why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes early? And sixth, what the hell happened to Stanley?"

Screw Loose Change - Not Freakin' Again Edition

This video is not of my making, but I thought it a very good point/counter-point to the popular web movie. So please don't shoot/insult the messenger. If you haven't seen Loose Change, do not worry. What this movie does is play Loose Change and then put out rebuttles as the movie is playing. They use tinyurl.com when pointing out links, for easy reference.

I also understand that there are 19 parts. However, the Loose Change movie is over an hour long and the people of Screw Loose Change gave you bite size 10 minute (max) videos. They also take breaks in order to explain curtain things in detail.
