this is what we call living the dream. Now what else can we use to try and make this happen reliably?
Well, it also works with Armada Wurm (ie the Turn 3 card should be at least a 2-turn clock). There aren't any other cards in Standard right now that can replace the other two, but I'm holding out for Birds of Paradise in DGM.

Gatecrash would be a great place for a colorshifted Elves of Deep Shadow. It might not happen what with Avacyn's Pilgrim already in Standard, but it would be nice for RG decks. I envision them completing the cycle someday, so that each color pair can have their own 5-8 Birds of Paradise.
I actually think that Blood Moon would make perfect sense for Werewolves as a way to fight what may be seen by Wizards as an overcentralizing deck / lands in general. Remember how Ghost Quarter was a perfect, flavorful reprint for the same reasons? No reason it can't happen again in the second set.
I mean, would it really kill people to run Naturalize or Paraselene out of the sideboard?
How does that follow? They have zero setting-specific flavor. Names like "Hallowed Fountain" and "Temple Garden" could appear most anywhere.
Steam Vents seems pretty setting-specific (it would only work on a plane with advanced architecture; steam power wouldn't make sense on Kamigawa), but I'm pretty much with you on the rest of them.
Pretty glad we're not returning to Ravnica this soon. Richard Garfield would have to be on the design team for me to have faith in the block, and as he just helped on Innistrad I don't think that would be likely.
Travel Preperations was awesome for me in G/W. The casting it + flashbacking it both in the same turn is helpful for flipping werewolves, as the poster above me mentioned re Geistflame.
+1 for Blazing Torch. Loved it in Zendikar too, and it's even better here.
In contrast, Unruly Mob took too long to get big for my tastes, and even though I cast Traben Sentry two or three times, I was never able to flip it before my opponent took it out with removal.
Balefire Dragon would be the coolest card in the set if it cost 3RRR. They missed a real great opportunity there. (I mean, a 666 Dragon? Imagine if it had been a Devil Dragon!!!!! That would have been so sick.)

I just love mana dorks, and would love to have one guaranteed on Turn 1.
What kind of Commander do you wish you could play?

Turn 2: Somberwald Sage
Turn 3: Giant Adephage
I will not rest until I have accomplished this.

Instant
Add R to your mana pool. If that mana is spent on a creature spell, it gains haste.
I always wanted there to be a card that gave a creature free haste.
