I tried to change their Wiki page before, saying about the dated special effects and the poor crude attempts at humor, my changes were deleted. I agree that people either seem to love or hate the show, I'm definitely in the latter camp as well. I never really got their jokes, not even remotely. It's like one long running inside joke that no one is actually privy to.
It's supposed to start production this year, I think there were already photos of Pinhead. Sadly Doug Bradley won't be playing Pinhead this time, which will mark the first time he hasn't reprised his role!
Bloody Smeg! Wow, it's been a long time, despite it feeling quite a bit different I really liked Return to Earth, so I'm pretty excited for this. It'll be interesting to see what they do with this as a season rather than a movie though, or maybe it will just be a 6 part movie. Can't wait to hear more info as it comes out though.
Also consider that old Walkers had far more power, so wisking away someone or something you saw on another plane was a simpler task. It makes sense for Urza to be able to directly summon an existing being to his side, but it doesn't make sense for Chandra to be able to do that (considerng the difference in power between them).
I like how they depicted Garruks method of summoning because it gives a different spin to it that fits more with his power level. He absorbs (or something akin to that) his beasts and stores them so that he can call upon them at will. He seems to store them somewhere (some limbo or bag of holding) until he needs to call upon them, rather then transporting them from whatever plane they were on.
It basically seems like the method of summoning is more akin to the walker than anything else, whatever method best fits.
Has anyone else heard about this? I just recently saw it and the trailer and am madly excited about this. Winnie the Pooh was a favorite of mine growing up and I'm glad that they're keeping to their roots with this movie. I read that earlier on they considered using CG for the movie but finally opted to go the hand drawn route, I am glad they did because that would just change the whole feel and look of it. Zooey Deschanel will also be singing the (new, apparently) theme as well, and I love pretty much everything she's done AND she has a great voice to boot, so it's bound to be good. It's also coming out on my birthday, July 15, 2011, so if nothing else I know I'll at least have one birthday present.
I also think that opening packs to keep the ones that have big money rares directly hurts the integrity of your events. If people see that no one ever opens anything good from pre-opened packs, most people will connect the dots and see that you're rigging it. Wizards also tries to find a balance with cards and drafting/sealed, so removing cards from the pool tips that balance which can make the events unfun. Also, opening a Jace or Elspeth or whatever is part of the fun of sealed events, taking that away from players takes a lot away from an event and will result in people no longer attending.
Overall it's a pretty good movie, it's basically a retelling of the first Predator without rebooting the series or changing continuity. It actually references the first movie, which was nice plug without having to retell everything or entirely ignore it. Being a retelling, Predators follows a similar plot as the first movie but does it in it's own way so that it's not just a rehash. The casting and acting is all good and I don't have any real complaints,
except that Fishbourn seems to be eating well for someone who's been stranded for 10(?) years and forced to fight to survive for that long.
I really like the direction they took the Predators too, as in the visual style. I like AvP:R (not as much the first one though), but I didn't like how they stylized the Predators and made them all He-Man propotions. Predators definitely goes back more to their visual style from the first film, which I really liked. They made sure to vary them too, which was a nice touch, so that they all looked different with their own style, while still keeping to the general style laid down in the first film.
I saw it, going in with a bit of trepidation, but was pleasantly suprised. Overall definitely a watchable movie, the acting is good, it's overall well cast, and they did a great job with the visual effects. The movie itself plays out like a live action Fantasia, complete with a recreation of the cleaning scene, and it does a good job of it. The movie also pokes fun at other geek movies, including self referencing the references in movie, which was hilarious. As a note, there is a quick scene after the credits involving Mickeys hat from Fantasia, so stay after (unlike me, since I didn't think there would be anything after).
Ajani left Bant, however, the old Mirrodin was home to a lot of leonin, which look strikingly similar to Ajani and were white-aligned. I wouldn't be surprised to see him plane-hop and find them and go "ZOMG cat people just like me!"
All the souls on Mirrodin were stolen by Memnarch to populate his new world. The Leonin weren't actually from Mirrodin (and potentially were even originally from Alara) so I doubt Ajani would go there to visit them. I also thought that all the souls except Glissa, Slobad, and Geths head were released from Mirrodin at the end of the novels? The same goes for Lillianas demons, based on the ending of the Mirrodin novels, there weren't any demons left at the end.
Reread the ending of Mirrodin; so Glissa flared at the end and she restored Slobad, right? That means that she's still a walker, depending on when the Mirrodin timeline synchs up of course. She and/or Slobad (or even Geth) could be the one(s) looking for Karn. Something may be happening on Mirrodin and they're trying to find Karn to stop it. Phyrexia is still around as well, Yawgmoth dying didn't do anything to Phyrexia itself (it survived it's previous ruler/founder/etc dying in the core). The Phyrexians could have found a way to Mirrodin and are trying to corrupt it to make a new Phyrexia, or to use it's secrets to do the typical bad stuff that fiendish things do.
I assume you mean the last scene in the "previously" part? I'm actually wondering if she didn't sign back on for this season, so they quickly put that scene in to explain it without needing a while episode.
Scratch that, just actually finished the episode and there she is! I really don't know why they added that scene at the start, but I don't recall it either from the end of the last season.
I was kinda suprised by that too, it would have setup a lot of mystery to keep him out for another episode or two. I'm curious where they will go from here though. We know Young was willing to kill Rush to get rid of him (leaving him behind I assume he thought he was going to die there), and Rush was already willing to frame Young for murder, I have no doubt he's now willing to go a step further. It'd be nice to get a overarching story going on though, so far there is no clear threat or danger other than being stuck there, since I don't think this new alien race really qualifies.
If my opponent has 3 tokens, 1 elf and 2 elementals, and I ask specifically "What creature type is that token?" referring to one token in particular, is that free information or derived information? Do I have to be creative with my question and ask "What effect created that token?" and know what type of tokens that effect creates, or does my opponent actually have to answer Elf or Elemental? Since, in this case, each token is only one type, they can't ommit anything since the only thing to ommit is that one piece of information (which means they can't say anything else), can they just simply not answer at all, or do they actually have to state the type?
You can request the disc from there and it'll arrive in the same time it takes to get a DVD. Pop the disc in and run it, type the code it shows into the website on your comp, and viola, streaming your instant queue right to the PS3. I've been using it for a while now and it works great, I much prefer it on the PS3 over the TiVo interface (plus I don't have my surround sound plugged into the TiVo like I do the PS3).
EDIT: Just to note, it runs off the CD and I don't see any option to install to the PS3 and run from there. This just means that you always need to use the CD for now to be able to connect via the PS3.
CardKingdom is located in Seattle, the storefront is actually BerserkGames. As far as I know, they only do FNM though, but they do have a pretty large selection of cards (boosters going a ways back and singles).
If it has a recovery partition (like a lot of HPs seem to have), then restoring from that image should literally give you a clean state. It's like ghosting an image, they take a snapshot of things after it's all setup and configured, then copy that image to the recovery partition. There should be an option when booting (hitting a key or etc) that lets you boot to the recovery manager to restore that image, you should be able to Google it to see if your laptop does support that. Like has been said, copy all relevant data beforehand (images, documents, etc), but any software you installed after the fact will be lost. Restoring wipes the drive and restores it to the state of the image as is, it doesn't do any type of fancy overlay or alpha blending to keep anything behind. ^.^
