These 5 sets are legal:
-Invasion block (Invasion, Planeshift, Apocalypse)
-Ravnica block (Ravnica: City of Guilds, Guildpact, Dissension)
-Shards of Alara block (Shards of Alara, Conflux, Alara Reborn)
-Return to Ravnica block (Return to Ravnica, Gatecrash, Dragon’s Maze)
-Khans of Tarkir block (Khans of Tarkir, Fate Reforged, Dragons of Tarkir)
Players must choose:
-One base set (so either Invasion, Ravnica: City of Guilds, Shards of Alara, Return to Ravnica, or Khans of Tarkir)
-One small set, which cannot be from the same block as your large set
-A second small set, not from the same blocks as your other two sets
Planeswalkers are banned
Only cards that are in a certain set’s number are legal (ie. Fetch lands were in Fate Reforged packs, and Shocklands were in Dragon’s Maze packs, but they didn’t actually have a set number, so you can’t use those lands by choosing that set)
I think this format will end up being a lot of fun, and welcome any feedback!
Hey guys, I've written a quick piece on my blog about blue card drawing, looking at the various spells printed in blue over the years to draw extra cards, and how they relate to EDH and multiplayer.
With regards to color, bear in mind that these are hybrid cards. The 'blue regeneration' is on a blue-green card, and regeneration is fine in green. 'Blue enchantment destruction' is on a blue-white card, and white is excellent at destroying enchantments, etc. (Plus, I've tried to make sure that there are lots and lots of Disenchant effects in my 45 cards, since everyone forgot to make some the last draft.)
To be honest, this entire set should actually be gold cards, rather than hybrid mana cards. I wanted to make cards that were easier to cast this time (our last BOO draft had a lot of casting costs that were RRRBBB, etc.)
Hey everyone, here are 45 cards I've created for an upcoming BOO draft this August that I and some friends will be running. (BOO draft = "Build Our Own", where each person creates 45 cards to be drafted). My theme was the World Wrestling Federation from 1990, which was when I started watching wrestling and became a fan.
I recently wrote a post on my EDH blog about Wrath of God effects that have been printed since 2012. It turns out that there have been a lot of different sweeper spells printed in the last three years, many of which are pretty cool. A friend of mine pointed out that this would be a useful post for newer players to see, and that I should link to it in this forum for everyone to read.
Without any further ado, here's the link, for anyone who wanted to take a look:
Destructor Dragon is actually amazing in Saffi; I've been testing it since the Fate Reforged PR as Archon of Justice #2. I'm glad other Saffi players have been trying it out as well!
Love the list, but I am surprised at the lack of sweeper spells. Most of your removal is spot removal, like Malicious Affliction. Have you found that you've never needed a sweeper like Damnation, or Decree of Pain?
Just one quick point... This is an artifact-based deck, and yet you have one card (Act of Authority) that you give your opponents, that they can use to hose your own artifacts. This would likely be better served being a better Disenchant effect that doesn't get used against you, say Return to Dust.

Merged into Official thread. - cryogen
Very fun list, though. I love the inclusion of Withering Boon and Imp's Mischief.
