What about Mulch? Its normal drawback is negated both by Dredge and Threshold.

And mana acceleration is always good, or so I am told. Wink

What about Dwarven Grunt? Depending on your metagame, maindecking (or at least sideboarding) Blood Moon makes him a nice pain powerhouse. As a 1-drop, you can cast him easily.

You might also consider fantasy Dwarf stereotypes and add some equipment - Loxodon Warhammer, Bonesplitter, and other weapons.

Dwarven Armory MIGHT even be worthwhile if this deck somehow survives into the late game. I mean, you can either spend 1R with Dwarven Lieutenant to provide a critter with +1/+0 until end of turn, or you can sac two lands for a permanent +4/+4 (well, permanent until creature is removed, at least).

Welcome to 'Sally. You'll find this to be a great place. As long as there is no spamming, trolling, flaming, double-posting etc., you will be more than welcome here. (Oh ****, I'm sounding more and more like a mod :xd:) What type of decks are you into, krichaiushii?

No spamming? But I love canned meat products! Oh, wait, that's not what you mean, is it? Grin

I mostly have casual decks that are nominally Vintage legal. By this I mean that I own cards running back to nearly the beginning (having started the day Legends went on sale), but none of the true Vintage power (what little I've owned went away long ago...). Some of my latest deck builds are Standard legal by default, but not through specific trying (samurai, anyone?).

Subsequently, I have about 20 decks built, with partial builds or ideas for about 20 more - once I get the cards and become motivated; deckbuilding for me is a messy process, with cards strewn across the dining room table as I search my boxes for the right card. Wink

That said, I prefer multiplayer games - ideally chaos. Situations often result in duelling, however. Since my typical opponent lately is either a student of mine or a former student, the decks I mostly play against are Standard legal, for what that info is worth.

If it matters, I often read the stickied threads, AND try to follow any rules therein. This makes me a tool to some and a hero to others. Go figure...

I'm looking forward to another Magic forum.

Here is a deck I originally posted at wizards. The feedback there was less than stellar, so I am trying again. Though intended for duelling, it might be worthwhile in smaller multiplayer games. I guess its Legacy, minus all the power cards.

It has potential, but is yet to be tested.

    10x Forest
    8x Island
    4x Simic Growth Chamber

4x Stampeding Wildebeests or Stampeding Serow
    4x Coiling Oracle
    4x Llanowar Elite
    4x Slith Predator
    4x Vigean Hydropon
    4x Aquastrand Spider
    4x Simic Guildmage

    4x Rancor
    4x Mana Leak
    4x Remand

Lots of +1/+1 counters. I can bounce all the creatures to pay for the Stampeding upkeep costs; most of my critters have evasion of a sort in Trample, or they can be given Trample via Rancor. If a critter is bounced, I don't lose Rancor as it comes to my hand. Card advantage is (theoretically) generated through bouncing Coiling Oracle via Stampeding upkeeps.

I am torn on which counters to use, though. Mana Leak is splashable, but theoretically defeatable. Counterspell can't be beat, yet is UU. For the bounce/removal slot, I am yet undecided about focusing on creature bounce like Peel from Reality, more universal bounce with Boomerang, or some form of green removal like Naturalize or Creeping Mold. EDIT: A suggestion was made to run Remand in addition to Mana Leak. So I have done so, by pulling Boomerang.

I might even consider other CIP creatures to use AS removal, such as Uktabi Orangutan or Man O' War - though this latter choice is unaffected by Stampeding upkeep.
The mana spread may need changing, and of course would benefit from Tropical Island, Yavimaya Coast, and/or Breeding Pool.

    All comments are welcome.

I have to second the recommendation of Radiant's Dragoons, especially as you have Lifeline in the deck. Failing to pay echo guarantees they go to the graveyard, which in turn triggers Lifeline.

For gits and shiggles, consider adding Angelic Chorus to the mix; from there, look at Serra Avatar - no life gain alone, but a guaranteed laugh-riot with Angelic Chorus in play.

Perhaps Bloodshot Cyclops? He is a reusable Fling that can attack in his own right.

And should you have the mana to afford it, you can always recur the Angel to cast and hurl again and again...

I have wandered over from the wizards boards, where I post under the same screen name.

I am told it is Russian for "howling".
