I am here to make a thread about G/W Value from Todd Stevens' list.
With that list, and his team, he won the SCG team event.
I want to start a discussion about the deck with other hyped modern players, looking to make the deck better and discuss card choices and making a sb - sb guide and even turn this into a primer one day.
I can totaly agree on the arguments about the mindset you both have. Regarding results is Abzan the way to go. It has taking some places in top 8 and is mostly played.
Next to that, it is always good to think about the fundamentations of the deck. My 5 cents are that it is a combo deck with midrange beatdown possibility. Jack of all indeed, but not a master of one.
I agree with pokken on card choices, six one mana dorks and four druid's acopanied with four finks/knight.
I am going to test the value company build from Todd. Azusa, Excavator and Ghost Quarter in a deck with Knight seems bonkers.
I am realy curious about the boardplans in the current meta.
Kanister is doing realy well on mtgo, but the primer does not include the top tier decks right now. The comments on how to board are scattered around the forum. Does anyone have a decent sideboardsheet or plan? I am planning to make one when I get home from vacation tho, so all the intell is welcome!
Kanister, why do you play Bauble over Leyline in the mainboard. I can see the argument around speed. But isn't the Leyline much better in the current metagame?
I am thining again about switching back to Lantern, but I find myself seeing different kind of builds.
With or without Crucible main. With or without Infernal Tutor.
I can see why you won't play the Brutality mainboard, How is your list nowadays?
He made some different choices and going on a 4C build with Retreat Knight combo.
His thoughts in the first 17 min are prettig decent, and yeah, it is GerryT.
I gut feeling says I need to stuck with Abzan build. Finks is great but is it better than Knight? And how about the infi life combo and sb material as Decay, push and tidehollow?
There where a couple of lists that went day 2 and some lists on the top tables of the scg classic.
Trying to figure out what to do with my sideboard. The list Reid plays is my starting point. I find myself in doubt about the Fulminator mages. I just do not like them. They are a 1 for 1, but against deck that overcome that quit easyly. So why not cut the from the board? Or play Blood Moon instead?
I would like to discuss the landbase:
4 Blackcleave of 2 Blackcleave 2 Blooming Marsh?
My preference goes to the split. I am testing it right now.
How does all fair with the 1-off 5 drop in the main? I am stil on FlyingDelver' list. Stil on 24 land. Going to test next week some specific matchups.
Anyone any tips on a board?
The first cards I include are 3 Blood Moon. I always liked the free wins and the fear of the opponents heen they have seen one. Next to that I never liked played Fullies in Jund. Thoughts?

He recommands a build that doesnt rely on the combo. Maximize the value.

Why would we play the ooze over finks or vice versa?
