I'm going to be replacing the combust in my board with this new one, but I don't really see it making a huge difference in most matchups. Just slightly more efficient, but still basically the same effect

Thats a poor decision, thats my guess. Combust kills Rhino!

I'm thinking about playing Jelger's deck. But why would people go for the build of the SCG winner instead of this one? Can someone explain that choice for me?

    Good afternoon,

I just picked up a Twin deck from a friend of mine. And it was love at first sight. Atm I still have a Tron deck. But I am not feeling a good interaction with the meta atm. And it is not versatile. So I was looking for another deck and found this greatness. So I looked in some decks on mtgtop8 and the PT decks. But why should I play Blood Moons main deck? And what is the difference with playing them on the MB?

@bBlair5: I still do not feel like I need to shift to G/W. What are your results with it in a swiss tournament?
I gave it a thought to, but my guess is that the landbase isn't a Savannah like out Grove of the Burnwillows is a Taiga. I guess you will be set back with it once upon a time. Its not certain it will happen, but the risk is quit high with tapped land. And our deck has always been good to not do damage to ourselves.
On the other hand, beeing able to cast Path's and Timely Reinforcements instead of Pyroclasm. Is quit good. But what is the answer to Twin?! Path their creature is quit good. Nature's Claim is quit good. But all counterable.. Combust stays better! On the other hand there is the Krosan Grip you board in? But is it good enough in other matchups? Its a quit expensive Nature's Claim in other MU. So there are some pro's and some con's.. I am still not convinsed to go into G/W Tron though.

How do people feel about Guttural Response in the sideboard against all kinds of blue? Counters their counters, and it counters Gifts

True, but what blue deck, outside Twin, does infest the metagame atm?
If your local meta cry's for an Guttural Response you need to play it. But my guess is that Defense Grid, searchable with Ancient Stirrings, and Boil are the better hate against the Blue decks.

As an avid Burn player for the last 3 years, i can say that chalice is not a great spell vs burn, dont get me wrong in some corner cases its fine, but wayyyy more often than not its goin to screw the tron player much more. Burn is already bringing in as much as 4 destructive revelry/smash to Smithereens and putting in a card that makes tron slower vs them while grantin another strong target for 3 damage spells is not a great position. Im not sure if you guys are interested in what does work vs burn, but if you are; basically bring in all your copies of natures claim and if ypu have them (you probably should) Batterskulls. This line of play is going to increase your win percentage considerably

Ye this helps alot! I usually lose to Burn. A friend of mine picked up that deck. I guess my input of Batterskull isnt bad at all.

At this moment I am thinking about boarding in my 4th Wurmcoil Engine. That will be in the MB. So I get more 3 Drops next to my Karn's. How are you guys thinking about that? So I would run 4 Karn, 2 Ugin, 3 Spellskite, 1 Flying Spagetti Monster and 4 Wurmcoils.

True Slivortal. But is red the way? Why not just mono green? We can run more removal? But what can we do in mono green vs our poor matchups? I guess white and blue are not the way to go atm

I would like to get some feedback on my deck atm:

I hope it is a decent list. I realy like playing with 3 spellskite in the 75 cards. My own problem is my indiccision. I always hassitate about my 75. Just asking the question over and over again: is this the right list in the meta?

Ye, but does Boil or Defense Grid got a good game against control atm?
But Chalice was my first choice to against every aggro shizzle. But on 1 it kills our engine in the deck.

My best choice is 3 spellskite in the 75 now. I got two Spellskite in the maindeck and i like to run two nature's claim to.

But is t Slaughter Games good against the twin matchup? Or is it to slow?

I am considering how to fill in the blanks regarding:
Relic, pyro, ugin and nature's claim in the main deck.

Imo there is no way possible we play 2/3 O-stones, they safe so many games me. But ye, is a all is dust not better in a agressive meta? They can be banged on turn 3 in stead of turn 4 o stone / Ugin.

Relics are dead in maindeck, i guess it gets a lovely sideboard spot for me.

What do you guys play in de sideboard atm? I see people running defense grids and other cards I didnt consider jet

I just checked mtgtop8.com and thereis an gr tron list with two Nature's Claims in th maindeck. I guess if he fixed 24 points it is a good call in the meta atm, mayby split the 4 pyro's in two pyro's and two Nature's claim. But thats just a guess.
I think the claims are quit good against the titan matchup, affinity, twin, bogles and the mirror! That what someone mentioned before.
My testing crew here in Holland is doubting about Ugin, it's an extra sweeper with pro's. Extra bolting, on a clar field its just a great bomb. I feel that Sundering Titan is quit good though against the upcomming Abzan. The land distuption is killing for them, but it is more flavorfull then it is a great addition to the deck.

In my oppinion you just make a decklist that fits in the meta in your town or area. I am going to play some PPTQ's and some monthly events here in Eindhoven. I guess there are many Abzan players and Infect. Just becaue there was an 60% meta of Pod. So the changes are little for them.

Slivortal, you do not play any relics in the mb? I saw them in the sb though, but is it not strong enough in the meta atm? My impression is that it takes out the upcomming goyfs and the snappies.

Whats your SB plan Harakesh? Your decklist is almost the same as mine. Im interessted in how u use the SB. In the most MU. I really like the build you posted though

So in your opinion. Whats the good way to board Ugin in? And why should I play the Spellskite MB? Is it that much better than a cantrip like Relics? I feel something for the 2 o stones and 2 ugins atm. Ugin is such a Bomb! Instill play 4 relics and 4 pyro. Rest stock, only a Cavern of Souls in stead of the Llanowar wastes.

Like I see it atm is: what do you value more in the maindeck?? Pyroclasm, Relics or O-Stone? My guess is I want two Ugin's maindeck. Rest of it stock. But ye... What to do with the Spellskite main? Why would I play it? Is a better buffer than Pyro? And why would it makenthe maindeck. I guess Explore won't make my deck. I value my relics to much against more decks. Just storm, snappies, goyfs. And it still is a better canteip imo.
