The name does suggest a more aggro version, so having this archetype and being an avid Boros player in modern, i would love to see something like this.
Chandra, Torch of Defiance1RR
Planeswalker- Chandra (MR)
+1: Until the beggining of your next turn, creatures and artifacts your opponents control enter the battlefield tapped.
0: Discard a card. If a red card or mountain was discarded this way, draw a card.
-2: Chandra, Torch of Defiance deals 3 damage to target player.
Loyalty Counters: 3
Mini analysis:
1) Aka ''Urabrask the Hidden's little half-sister''. Since she most likely will be the spirit of the resistance, bringing discomfort to the opponents sounds right to me.
2) Aka ''Rummaging Goblin' biased pretty cousin''. When you need to find just that one card and care for nothing else.
3) Aka ''Lightning Bolt you's beloved wife''. When steps 1 and 2 fail, all red mages resort to the their favourite burn spell, in this case Lava Spike, because we all know Chandra has the wisdom of the kami.
Lily and Jace will have a child that will be evil unlike his parents. He will be black blue and he will become the main villain apprentice in the future.
He will either mind control you or zombify you!!! God please no!
In the story article Dovin seems too UW to be anything else. However the Serlock inside me just insists that he is in fact UB, and all this is all an act from his part to manipulate things in his favor.
I know that Black is not neccessary evil, but if you consider it a bit, we had never had this kind of villain. The sneaky bastard. A role best fit for B. Most likely i will be proven wrong, but hell something really tickles me he is in fact a double agent or something!
Goblin Barrel- Out of color race, though lets hypothize this is a timeshifted version, i think ''can't be blocked'' makes it too uninteractive and linear for its own good. In the color of creature buffs this would lead to hyper aggressive strategies along with a splash of red. Sure triple green is a hinderance, but i guess in that tribal block this card would belong to should have a lot of secondary cards to compliment this one.
I suggest the goblins having menace instead. The rest is fine for triple color.
My turn: Shade, One of the ManyUB
Legendary Creature- Human Rogue (R)
Skulk
When Shade, One of the Many deals combat damage to an opponent scry 1 and fatesteal 1.
Grandeur- Discard another card named Shade, One of the Many: If an opponent would draw a card this turn except the first one he or she draws in each of his or her draw steps, instead that player skips that draw and you draw a card.
1/3
*Fatesteal: To fateseal X, look at the top X cards of an opponent's library, then put any number of them on the bottom of that player's library and the rest on top in any order.
Here is my UB control deck i have been tuning for quite a long time. It goes for the classic conservative control plan, with many hand, stack and board disruptions and removals. It tries to stall the game while depriving the opponent his most powerfull if not all toys.
Usually it wins with damage from the manlands or one of the four big lifelink buddies of the deck. UB is a combination with few to none lifegain cards, so lifelink is neccessary to win many aggro match ups.
The deck performs excellently against the top tier. After the sideboard it does not really have a bad match up, though hyper aggressive hands of aggro decks can be unsolvable without the perfect cards. Against those decks it ultimately come to whether we drew the key Night of Souls' Betrayal or Leyline of the Void or not. By the end of the fourth turn someone will have scooped.
The problems of the deck is that it can be too passive for its own good, have the wrong answers to the wrong threats (a rare sight but it exists) and become land flooded. Decks with extreme building, such Lantern Control and Tron can become problems because many cards we own are worthless against them and need a particular set of cards to win them.
As for the sideboard, Spreading Seas, Bribery and the Dragonlord are geared towards Tron based decks.
The Leyline is good against Dedge and graveyard based decks. Spellskite to disrupt combo and aggro decks. Dispel and Duress for the control and creature light decks.
The explosives are there for the 1-2 cmc hyper aggro and noncreature cards that bother us.
What this deck needs is certainly Counterspell, an Abrupt Decay style of card, a card the bounces and discards for a low cost and possibly a noncreature constant threat that can win you the game by itself, such as a Planeswalker or an Enchantment that grindly summons tokens or loses life to your opponents.
Most likely Ugin will free him, so that he returns the favor. By that time vengeance will have consumed Sorin as well, and we will get the BR Sorin we deserve. Though monoB is also an option.
Shadow Magician- I believe it should be worded ''Creatures with shadow counters on them gain hexproof and can't be blocked''. As for the card, it represents Shock on a stick every turn. Make it rare and add +1 power to become a bolt-like clock. I don't know how powerful it would be in limited then though. Perhaps 2 power is more safe.
I like the idea of the design, both in flavor and mechanics.
Since wizards failed yet again to create an interesting Boros commander...
Rhaz Morrass, Defender of People2RW
Legendary Creature- Cat Cleric (MR)
Whenever a noncreature spell or permanent targets a creature you control, Rhaz Morrass, Defender of People deals 4 damage to that spell's or permanent's controller.
Rhaz Morrass, Defender of People deals noncombat damage as though it is commander damage.
3/4
The whole set was a huge troll for aggro red based decks, like our own. The red dude above does not deal damage upon entering, thus i would prefer to play burn over him and Thalia is 1 away from awesomeness...
The last maindeck card we got was Monastery Swiftspear and sideboard the fringe Exquisite Firecraft. This is rediculous, standard is kneeling this archetype.
This does kill Kitchen Finks and hits players to the face. I don't believe i will say this for a 2cmc sorcery 3 damage card, but i will give it a chance, at least in playtesting for modern.
Missed opportunity for a much better Incinerate though.
Flavor win getting both Ugin and Nicol Bolas into the battlefield! This is a great mostly noncompetitive card, me like it! What mythic should look like.
I, for once wish Thalia's CMC was WW with a 2/2 body. Just like Sin Prodder they are mistaking this card for a 3cmc while in fact sould have been 2cmc but with double color. Just like Eidolon of the Great Revel and Kor Firewalker.
Someone would argue that Prodder being 2cmc would mean multiple of them recking your opponent relatively quickly but here this is not the case. She is a legendary creature to make up for it.
Anyway, aside from D&T and hatebears no real decks are gonna use her.
Once again, just like Sin Prodder, they create a card i want, yet is 1 more than my deck likes. She is freaking legendary, just make her WW and i would swap my 2 Improsing Sovereign for her immediately!!!
A classic 20/20/20 approach, with a slight favor over burn.
With the uprise of ''creature toolbox'' decks, the Sovereign wins the Eidolon for my 2 drop in my curent meta. This is also why i include Torpor and Moonlight in the side. The Moonlight is also great against anything getting creatures in the battlefield without casting them. The 3 walkers are my anti-midrange package while Declaration is always overperforming. YOU HAVE NOT LIVED if you have yet to exile 2 kitchen fink with one spell!
What our deck wants to be printed is 1. Boros command, 2. Boros Unguised Unmaking, 3. A 2/3 cmc walker, 4. A aggro creature that hates lifegaining.
EVERY legendary creature and planeswalker is part R or U on this plane!
Now, how about an aggro Chandra walker...
Chandra, Torch of Defiance 1RR
Planeswalker- Chandra (MR)
+1: Until the beggining of your next turn, creatures and artifacts your opponents control enter the battlefield tapped.

PS: The art is gorgeous!
He will either mind control you or zombify you!!! God please no!
