I do get the value of lifegain if coupled with another mechanic. If it's there, why not take it.
What I would like to know is why is lifegain so important now? I can't EVER remember a time when lifegain was worth playing. What makes it so now? I'd think in slow meta it'd be awful. All I hear is how things have slowed down, why play lifegain in a slow meta?
Target creature gets deathtouch, destroy target enchantment, and what I'd want to see is two creatures fight, but I don't think we'll get that lucky; probably disentomb will happen.
I'm impressed even starcity can't hype the new Jace to justify a higher pre-order price than $25. Considering the card has the word Jace in it, I expected it to be at least $40.
If Jace sells like hotcakes at 25, and then 30, it will find itself at 40 sooner rather than later.
But if Jace isn't really selling at 25, then it surely ain't selling at 40.
Look at the deck that won the last 2 GPs...
I heard from a friend that he got a "hidden" PWP achievement for not losing/drawing a match in a 4+ round event.
Hidden achievements are those that do not appear until you get them.
What are some of the other hidden achievements? Is there a list somewhere?
"Whatever doesn't grow, dies. And what dies grows the tarmogoyf."
It really is a joke that the original, allied color fetch lands are not modern legal.
I MD'ed 1 and boarded 1 in my t4 states list and the card is phenomenal - an absolute house in the mirror match.
There's sufficient fixing, so it certainly doesn't get in the way.
Being able to hold up answers (counters/charms/whatever) and drop EOT thragtusks/spheres/planeswalkers is simply absurd.
The fact it doesn't allow just one spell to be cast, but all spells for the rest of the turn, makes it that much more over the top.
I can't handle this....
O well, you get the point...
Obv there was a lil bit more, nothing too good. Getting something really pretty tomorrow, though.
It made sense, and using the vending machine was cheaper.

The rounds were only 45 minutes, and effectively more like 40-42 minutes because of when the clock started ticking.
Something to keep in mind.
Surprised it wasn't dimir.
But, I like Orzhov, they're my homies, so it works out nicely.
How can you not love Sorin's Vengeance + Snapcaster Mage!!
Or, just resolving the absolute tank that Olivia Voldaren is against some generic aggro deck.
Making this post makes me want to run the deck one more time before rotation...
