Necroharvest and Vile Plunder were up against eachother in round 1 according to the original thread (http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=532928). The winners should be Spoils of Misery, Waste Not, Riches from Rags and Vile Plunder. Did they mess up the brackets again?
What is wrong with Wizards ? There's again a mistake ! Pools at first round were "Skullduggery" vs "Spoils of Misery", "Carpe Noctem" vs "Waste Not", "Drudge Rummage" vs "Riches from Rags" and "Necroharvest" vs "Vile Plunder", not "Riches From Rags" vs "Skullduggery", "Waste Not" vs "Carpe Noctem", "Vile Plunder" vs "Drudge Rummage" and "Necroharvest" vs "Spoils of Misery" !
meaning that, if the vote numbers are right, Spoils of Misery should be in the Top 4 instead of Necroharvest.
this is stupid. All of these cards are just baseless speculation - he didn't claim to have any actual knowledge of the set. He just happened to name a very Greek-sounding name as one of the creatures.
can we get a mod to comment on this? this thread is ridiculous.
Can you read the first post? A mod DID comment on and partially confirm it.
And do you really think someone could have guessed "Medomai", with that exactly correct spelling, considering it's not a real Greek name, AND identified it as a UW legend, just like a sphinx would be, without inside information? This is not baseless speculation.
Of course Theros has tree, but Canopy Horizon is like a land made with giant leaves on which the humans are living... Not fitting.
It's conceptualized that way on the art and flavor text of the original Canopy Horizon. But there's no reason that the art and flavor text has to remain the same; for instance, off the top of my head, consider the totally different Mawcor conceptions of the Tempest and 7th Edition printings.
Only the name has to stay the same, and the name fits Theros just fine.
And I think Nimbus Maze fits in the storyline. Canopy's Horizon doesn't, and why would Wizards make Canopy-like land without printing the preexisting Canopy ?
I'm on the NM side.
I'm also leaning toward Nimbus Maze, but your storyline argument is a bad one.
How does Canopy Horizon not fit the storyline? Does Theros not have trees? Does Theros not have earth or sky? Canopies and horizons fit Theros just fine.
- Carpe Noctem 15969 (73.7%) defeats Skullduggery 5699 (26.3%)
- Waste Not 12124 (54.8%) defeats Spoils of Misery 9988 (45.2%)
- Vile Plunder 13588 (62.1%) defeats Riches From Rags 8305 (37.9%)
- Necroharvest 12705 (59.9%) defeats Drudge Rummage 8495 (40.1%)
Now you're voting for:
- Carpe Noctem vs. Necroharvest
- Vile Plunder vs. Waste Not
Edit: As pointed out by other posters in this thread, the result brackets don't sync up with the original vote brackets! SHENANIGANS! Honest mistake by Wizards of the Coast? Or something more sinister? You decide...
The "corrected" results (EXCEPT THESE RESULTS ARE STILL WRONG, SEE BELOW) are:
- Riches From Rags 15969 (73.7%) defeats Skullduggery 5699 (26.3%)
- Waste Not 12124 (54.8%) defeats Carpe Noctem 9988 (45.2%)
- Vile Plunder 13588 (62.1%) defeats Drudge Rummage 8305 (37.9%)
- Necroharvest 12705 (59.9%) defeats Spoils of Misery 8495 (40.1%)
Now you're voting for:
- Riches from Rags vs. Necroharvest
- Vile Plunder vs. Waste Not
So, basically, Riches from Rags has replaced Carpe Noctem in the previous wrong-brackets vote.
But, as if this YMTC wasn't a debacle filled with enough problems/irregularities already, now here's another one! This vote closes in just 1 day, but the banner/image to the revote (which has "REVOTE" on it in big red letters) on the main page of the official site currently (as of about 1 hour after the site updated for Thursday) leads to http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/feature/262, the Top 8 vote, rather than to http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/feature/262d2, the Top 4 revote, a link which you currently can only find by incrementing numbers/letters on the URL...!
Edit: 2 hours after the site updated, the main page link was fixed to point to the correct page.
Edit: The brackets are STILL WRONG, as DizzyDrone and Venser_FR first pointed out and I have confirmed (compare the Top 8 described at http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=532928):
meaning that, if the vote numbers are right, Spoils of Misery should be in the Top 4 instead of Necroharvest.

Read the first post; it explains the situation. We now have evidence that Trollcreature was telling the truth.
