Well, two arts by the same artist means this is not an issue of artist credit. I actually was wondering about those two because I couldn't tell how they tied into their effect.
TBH tough, they might not have been the only ones. And Memory Lapse still isn't doing it for me.
The link is a statement they released in response to previous events of them being, in their words, "exommunicated". One would assume that there were by then other things stated before as well. How then is "all" there?
triggering Rowan like this and to do that....they kill will.
and probably do a similar deal with her to what yawgmoth did with gerrard “kill urza and I will resurrect Hanna” which was a roost, probably work with them for this case.
Are there even Phyrexians confirmed in the setting yet? So far I only encountered the Eldrazi-cosplayers that go by Oriq. And Defend the Campus strongly implies they are after the Snarl's terrible crayon-y powers.
Is anyone else getting the feeling that with maybe the exception of the Elder Dragons, these mythics don't have much going for them? I mean, this one does feel pretty mythic... Maybe people will rejoice because these are "classic" mythics and not "I NEED 4 FOR MY STANDARD TOURNAMENT DECK!!!"
I actually get the feeling that this has much going for it as a mythic, because I agree that it does "feel pretty mythic" and that's the criterion I go by. You probably use another criterion that I personally don't tie to mythic-ness. Though there was at least one dud for me IIRC in that one kitchen sink design, Magma Opus.
I feel mythics need that one aspect out them, that one word and phrase that makes you stop and reconsider even if otherwise the effect is mundane e. g. you could turn this (at an appropriate cost) into a rare or uncommon by replacing the word "library" with "hand", but the moment you read library, you make a double take. Another example would be the phrase "five times" on Crackle with Power. And while that may sound like a Timmy-criterion, I feel "enters the battlefield or attacks" had a similar punch on Primeval Titan and co.
I noticed the many humanoid creature types as well. It's neat to see them in a setting that doesn't rely on tribal interactions mechanically all that much, only Dragons a token creature types so far as far as I can recall.
I think having five faculties to populate might have pushed them to go more diverse.
I also adore catfolk in designer clothes. Definitely a choice I didn't see coming but approve of whole-heartedly.
I don't wanna sound like the rare red 2-drop but...don't you see something strangely familiar above Blood Age General's head? Those floating trinkets look like the stuff that distinguishes Kozilek's lineage, maybe these Archaics are somewhat connected to the Eldrazi somehow.
Almost definitely. How about you lLook in the background of Silverquill Command, too, IIRC and at least one basic land (I think the Lorehold Plains and Mountain?). These floating patterns are quite common.
I find the whole deal where Extus Narr looks like Emrakul and their mage hunter minions look like Eldrazi Spawn Scions and this thing looks like Kozilek more than enogh evidence to lend credibility to the Kozilek-reanimation plot. The Oriq know about the multiverse and why wouldn't a cult of Eldrazi worshippers know that?
See, it's their way of making the removal indirectly less powerful: by not providing any good targets for removal.
Armies of untrained and partially trained spellcasters, who are not actually the main target anyway.
TBH tough, they might not have been the only ones. And Memory Lapse still isn't doing it for me.
Young wizard (a Wizard creature): "You are aware that spell you are about to cast doesn't target creatures, right?"
Extus Narr: "..."
Weird, yeah, but I'm sure glad Quintorius doesn't get kicked out.

That one is going to linger. While the suggestion was denied, you cannot prove the negative.

That's what makes it an overlap between houses - flavor from one black house, mechanical space from another.

Then how do you explain the Quandrix watermark?
