I assume the "another" applies to both nontoken Elves as well as Berserkers. So it does not trigger on itself dying. Oh, and I guess "nontoken" also applies to both. No idea if we've ever had Berserker tokens, but any in the future will not benefit from this card.
There are Berserker tokens in this set, both Demon Derserker and Zombie Berserker IIRC, Dwarf Berserker, too. None to work with this.
Don‘t forget: the Hill Giant which was already printed in Alpha was also only a 3/3.
Correct. Giants vary wildly in size and 3/3 is already Elephant-sized. Since Wizards usually get to be less brawny a 3/3 Giant Wizard is perfectly within the realm of what we have seen.
If nothing else I like how Sagas basically give us storyline spotlight cards for important events in the history of the setting. They are such great story-telling tools that I wouldn't mind seeing them everywhere. It would also serve to make enchantments more relevant. Deciduous is almost not enough Sagas.
Fantasy artwork was always beefcake and I guess that this will never really change.
On the other side I remember the negative remarks in the past that Tasigur looks too skinny and the last two Radhas are too heavy.
So it seems that muscular builds are more preferable in general by the audience.
I don't know. I can see male representation change as well as female. As you noted there are encouraging sights of more featured body shapes. But I wouldn't expect that change to start on on the Heavy Metal plane of all places - male power fantasies are woven into that genre from its inception. Physical fitness especially has been written into the back-story of those characters as well.
Though more beer bellies would be a hilarious reflection on the reality of the actual demographics of Metalheads.
EDIT: And based on the functionality of the card, they probably kill or defeat Vorinclex as well.
Why? The functionality just describes what happens to three characters: Two progress, one gets taken down. This seems to tell the story of Tibalt's defeat at the hand of two 'walkers just fine.
Little bits of life drain are thought of as 'bleeding' your opponent. And lots of media depicts hunting something down as following a trail of blood on the ground to finish them off. I think the art may have been a bit clearer by showing a blood trail. Or in other circumstances with other characters, showing supplies left behind as they continue to escape, with it being 'drained' from them over time to continue its evasion of the hunter.
I thought of a more abstract flavor, just watch your life total "pursue" your opponent's and eventually catch up.
How are Iroas or Thassa versions of Athena? I’m not even sure Ephara really is. Honestly plenty of the gods don’t line up with proper mythology so it’s not like the Norse plane should be different.
Iroas and Mogis are analogies to Athena and Ares. Mogis/Ares are gods of War/Battle/Bloodlust, while Iroas/Athena stand for Warglory/Warfare (since Athena is a Goddess of Wisdom and War she is especially the Deity of Wisdom in War, you see; hence the myth also states she springs forth born in full armor). It's not a perfect match since the gods and Gods intersect in multiple places, but the notion of two "Gods of War" referencing different aspects of war has been there in the Greek Pantheon.
I'm seeing people say this SHOULD be mono-white for some stupid reason.
My guess:
White can create large amounts of tokens.
White can tap creatures and stop activated abilities.
White can grant indestructible.
Sure, these mechanics could generally go on a mono-colored white card. And people like to make fun of that since recent sets got that complaint a lot from Commander players that want all kinds of mechanics shifted to white they feel could solve white's current problems in the format.
Though the tokens are larger than white would usually produce I don't think the idea is entirely wrong, but it's more a neat observation. The idea that a multicolored card could appear in another color hasn't been new since at least Lightning Helix.
The notion that this thing that COULD happen "SHOULD" happen I don't see as justifiable. It's a top-down Serpent to begin with.
Anything that makes the Reserved List matter less is good... now is an up-beat way to talk power creep.

Well, you see, only if he isn't currently usurping the spot of a God creature and you cast his MDFC's back-side.

Ten two-color tribes and ten mechanical themes for the draft-archetypes that don't 100% align with the tribes to give some cross-synergy?
Yep. Well-designed. Probably well-iterated.
