Yeah, some decks will try the value route, sure. But it seems much more appealing to cast broken stuff like Balance, Living Death or some P9 piece on turn 3. Sure we can cascade into those things right now, but requires bigger build around and it's a one time thing. I'm all in for making Blue and White better in modern, i just don't think this helps.
Inb4 they change rules so this doesn't work with Suspend cards with no cost, haha.
Gideon looks promising to me. I'll be testing him. We can't underestimate a 3 mana planeswalker capable of generating a soft lock while being a threat and a wall.
On another topic, i'm here just hoping that new blue enchantment doesn't become a thing so we don't have to warp out our decks to navigate through combo city. People will be brewing at the very least, so i guess we'll be seeing tons of Restore Balance and god knows what on the stack.. sigh.
Edit: @Scapeshifty I'm not a big fan of Judge's Familiar, but i've seen some lists running it with some success. It might be good in an Infect meta alogside Copter. I also think that, against most decks, Big Thalia is better than Eidolon game 1 and Mangara seems a bit slow for your meta. Icatian Javelineers seems like spicy tech if you're expecting lots of Robots and Nexus'.
I'm not huge on Kataki, so i'd personally run a Ghostly Prison in the board. Blessed Alliance is also a card i've been liking a lot lately.
As for your manabase, i like to play at least a couple Mutavaults in monowhite builds. 13 white sources is enough. I'm not that experienced with the deck yet! So this is just my 2 cents! We have some great D&T playes in here, so i'd wait to see their opnions! Hope that helps
Is somebody on mono-white Eldrazi and Taxes? I had the standard build of BW Eldrazi and Taxes, but I simply couldn't win enough games against my GF's Skred Red deck (my fault for building that deck for her!), often being completely screwed out of Black and/or colorless sources. I'm trying to build a Mono-White version, since I believe losing Tidehollow Sculler and Wasteland Strangler is an acceptable loss for consistency's sake.
After looking at recent tournaments (especially that vial-less deck), I've come up with this:
I still don't have a lot of experience in competitive games, so I'm wondering if there is some big flaw I might have missed.
Nice! I'm experimenting with monowhite too. This is the list i'm playing (yeah, some odd choices but it's just a starting point that i plan on refine):
I was looking for consistency. Also, i wanted to testi some cards. Yeah, i know, Cathedral of War?! Well, i wanted something to give my fliers 4 power so i could finish planeswalkers and have a better clock. Also, lets TKS attack into more creatures. So far so good. Again, this is just something i'm willing to refine, so i'm just testing out some cards.
As for the Skred matchup, i haven't played it very much. The few times i played, either i swarmed my opponent with Forge-Tender o board and won, or i just got trampled over by Stormbreath Dragon, lol.
I've been watching a lot of Catmix recently and i'm on the Smuggler's Copter hype now. Still trying to find a shell i like for it though. My main problem with it is that i have to cut Stony Silence from the SB. I know some of you guy don't like Stony, so i wanted to ask what to bring against Affinity, Eldrazi Tron, etc.
I'm running Phyrexian Revoker but i don't think he's enough on his own. I was trying monowhite with TSK for consistency purposes and everything was nice and smooth until i came across those damn artifacts. Maybe the blue splash is what is needed. Thoughts?
Resto and Displacer do have a similar role in the deck, but i don't think that a bit of redudancy is bad in that regard. The best things about Resto is that she is harder to kill and a much better beater. Also, people don't expect it as much as Displacer/Flickwisp.
As for Sea Gate Wreckage, it has been good to me. I'm finding myself hellbent often against grindy decks in the late game, and i usually lose the top deck war agains those decks. Sea Gate helped a little in that situation, so i'm keeping it in for now.
Hey, guys! So i decided to give E&T another try but i really wanted to play Restoration Angel. I feel like the card is just too good in this deck to completely remove it. Anyways, i decided to rock some friendly leagues to test out my list and managed to get three 4-1's and a 5-0 with it in a row:
Just realized you can exile creatures forever with Hallowed Moonlight and Flickerwisp/Displacer, lol. I was running it cause i was tired of all this Beck//Call bull***** as well as Collected Company and Living End.

I'm liking the deck but i miss some cards like Blade Splicer, Thalia, heretic Cathar, Selfless Spirit, Stony Silence... Still not sure about what i'm gonna do. All i really confirmed is that Copter is really amazing.

Overall the deck felt good. I still don't like the manabase but i guess i can't do anything about that.
Also, people seems to hate our deck so much:
Mother of runes, please?
I've seen so much salt from this, rofl.
