In this instance, while Kytheon would be an Attacking creature (for the purposes of cards like Divine Verdict, the card is not considered to have attacked this turn. You have to actually declare an attack with him during the Declare Attackers step for that to happen.
I'm upset with the flavor fail - Kytheon/Gideon is supposed to start of as a troubled street punk
Hardly a fail. The legendary creature side represents them immediately before their sparks ignite. Kytheon had already moved past his street gang phase by the time his spark ignited. I'm sure we'll still see him being a punk on some other cards (whether in art or flavour text).
Wheel of Sun and Moon creates a replacement effect. The cards you discard are never placed in your graveyard - instead of going there, they are revealed and put on the bottom of your library. They are therefore never in your graveyard to allow you to trigger the Dredge ability.
Gideon is not from Theros. He served the Order of Heliud, not Heliod.
...You do know that Gideon being from Theros is already confirmed by multiple sources, right? And a single letter difference doesn't actually disprove a connection. It, point of fact, makes the connection seem all the more plausible.
"There are no coincidences."
Are there any sources confirming he is from Theros? I've seen a few people insist that is where he is from, but not one of them could actually cite any sources for it. Theros doesn't really seem to fit with the history created by Laura Resnick (street gangs, hieromancy etc don't seem very Theros, and I believe the stuff from The Purifying Fire is still all considered canon?). And the Order of Heliud are Regathan, are they not? So not related to Theros either. Or am I mistaken? I haven't actually read The Purifying Fire, so I could be super wrong.
Love the idea of double faced walkers. Awesome way to put Planeswalker commanders in a non-supplemental product, and the flavour and mechanical elegance behind exiting and bringing them back in transformed is a huge win.
Rebound only exiles the spell if it would go to the graveyard after it has finished resolving. Temporal Trespass exiles itself as part of its resolution. Rebound goes to look for Trespass, cannot find it and therefore cannot exile it for Rebound purposes.
Well, no, they couldn't print a nice burn spell with Rebound. Rebound is the Ojutai brood mechanic (ie, the White/Blue mechanic). There will be no Red spells with Rebound.
If she bring back a raid creature will the raid trigger or does she need to have attacked and dealt damage first?
She already HAS attacked, or you wouldn't be bringing that creature back in the first place. So yes, Raid abilities will trigger, because they only care that you declared at attack with something during your Declare Attackers sub-phase.
The token copy of Sarkhan will enter with the 4 loyalty printed on the card, because only the printed loyalty is a copyable value.
Someone suggested above that the token would enter as a 4/4 Dragon with Indestructible - it will not. Being a 4/4 Dragon with Haste and Indestructible is not a copyable value of the card Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker.
