This would definitely be underwhelming cast on curve. I don't know that I really see this being any good on any turn.

Her inability to create spirit animal tokens is a bit of a flavor fail from the art anyway.

On a more serious note, I think this fails the self-protection test, though that middle ability being able to destroy a flying creature is interesting....

I feel like Shalai is interesting, but isn't she just kind of win more? If you have that much mana, hopefully you've found Verdurous Gearhulk and swung for the win? She doesn't protect from board wipes which are generally the biggest weakness of the deck.

I might be wrong, but that's my gut feeling. Blue at least gives us Negate. Plus the black allows us Duress.

Has there ever been a better card name than Excavation Elephant? Grin

Sounds like a Mega Man villain.

I kind of want to cast Yargle, Glutton of Urborg the turn after Traxos, Scourge of Kroog. It's a combo?

Looks like a Battle Toad, swings like a Battle Toad, dies like a Battle Toad (that game was hard, ya'll).

These kinds of cards I feel are too heavy on the high risk/high reward scale. Idk how to use it to benefit from it lol

    Stifle?

I think people are freaking out about this card unnecessarily. It is just a counterspell folks. It is gonna be cute if a Ux flash deck shows up in standard, but there isn't much to say about the card besides that.

Instant speed card draw, which blue has available in Standard right now in plentiful quantity: Opt, Hieroglyphic Illumination, Pull From Tomorrow, Glimmer of Genius, and Supreme Will. Also goes well with Gearhulk. I think we're going to see quite an impressive last hurrah of Monoblue Gearhulk decks, and this will probably be a part of it. Also, kind of cool that casting this off Gearhulk gets you half of Gearhulk's cost back. I'm looking forward to the day when I cast this to counter something, then flash in Gearhulk and recast this to counter another thing the same turn, and then end of their turn cast Opt or Supreme Will or whatever.

Also, mana left open to use your Search for Azcanta at EOT.

Out of flowstone, huh? Neat. More nostalgia! I don't know how flowstone worked beyond the evincars having total control over it....

The more i think bout this, the more powerful it feels. Not only will you get 3 activatons of 1 Planeswalker the turn you cast Oath, youll also get to reset its loyality & all other Planeswalkers activate twice meanwhile & forth on. I hope so much one day a Superfriends-Deck derives & this might be the trigger. Mighty enough it is.

You won't get three activations on one turn because it returns on your end step.
