The idea of the Obscura seems a tad silly, but I believe it could work. I love the idea of being able to explore one's imaginations. Sorta like the Nightmare Dominion in Realms of Rome. Smile

I see what you mean, but what else could you fight a ghost off with? Lipstick? o.O

But I really do understand what you mean. I was just thinking that a camera that when flashed, sucks part of the ghosts soul out, would be quite interesting. i'm still going to follow through with that, though.

Hmmm, I need more oppinions and ratings! Smile

Well, a clan will have its days where it is silent. I'm just happy I have you guys as members, as you guys bring joy and life to this clan. I think that sometimes reasons for such quietness is due to not much to talk about.

Oh my, black lotus was a card that appealed to me, not for its effect, but for its art. I always love to look at the art on cards. Even if the card's effect stinks, I'll get the card if its art is really good. That's one of the reasons I started to play Magic. Lately, I haven't even looked or touched my cards. In fact, they've been sitting in my room for months because I have nothing to do with them.

@S_G: Sorry if I'm sounding like a mom. Just be careful. That's all.:)

Well, I've created a thread in the collo asking for advice and oppinions on a quest idea that I have. If any of you guys are in the collo, check this thread out:

    http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=58392

I really haven't done anything in the collo for months, and my previous quest I created hit the sewage from the first few posts. I hope this one actually takes off. So far, it has recieved some good oppinions.

    EDIT:

What do you guys think of my new banner?

  • posted a message on Quest idea- Dyscern: The Manor of Death
    Genre: Horror/fantasy

    character breeds: Humans

backstory on Dyscern: Dyscern is an altered state of reality. It does not really exist, but it can be seen through dream or if you happen to experience great woe or are severly lost.

backstory on quests: There are multiple quests. Some take place in the "Forest of the Dead", "Village of the Holy", and the "Manor of Death". You have to fight off ghosts using a special camera called the "Obscura" and save your life while trying to uncover Dyscern's hidden secrets and find an escape route.

Camera info: Questions have been raised wondering how a camera can harm a ghost. Well, a camera seems more fitting rather than a pistol or bomb, because those wouldn't do anything. With the "Obscura" a flash will suck part of the ghost's soul out of them. It takes only a few flashes to kill some ghosts (weaker ones) whereas some take several (stronger). Letting a ghost come really close to you allows a very strong flash that will suck a lot of the soul out.

Players needed: 3-5 for each Dyscern quest

    Sample piece:

Your team members have gone to check the other sections of the manor. You are left in the dark hallway alone. You shine the flashlight down the hallway and hold your camera in your other hand. You slowly creep down the hallway being careful not to make too much noise. You suddenly hear giggling behind you. You whip around to see a petite figure with a dagger in its hand quickly dash across leaving bloody footprints behind. You suddenly realize that you and your friends are not alone...

how does this sound? does it interest you at all?

This is why I like what they do in Utah. At airports at least they have special enclosures for smoking. They also made it illegal to smoke within 20 feet of a doorway. Its a shame we don't have similar laws here in NYC, and the mayor made it more likely for people to smoke outside.

Ooh. Airports can be a pain. There are a lot of people and chaos happens at times. Fortunately, there are times when it's a little peaceful and you can enjoy sipping a glass of water and reading a good book.......and maybe playing a game on your portable PS2!!!

Man guys I went to a hookah (flavored tobacco) lounge for the first time tonight and it was a lot of fun. There were a lot of girls and I'm still lightheaded from smoking so much. The funny thing is the smoke is completely smooth and so flavorful. We started off with some strawberry and then we had some grape and orange, man me and my boys had a good time.

I'm glad you had fun. Just be careful S_G, we don't want you to get hurt or anything. And I don't want to see your face for the first time on the news reporting a guy who got killed. Just be careful. Be yourself, but if that is wild and crazy, learn to be more careful. This world isn't exactly a field of daisies and bunny rabbits.

On a different topic, how many of you have ever played or currently play a consistent combo or lockdown-style control deck? How many of you who do so play MWS? Is any one else other than me a bit tired of people calling you a cheater for an incorrect or irrational reason and then leaving, a "noob" for not knowing the rules when you're the one in the right (I'm sorry BUSHIDO, I'm afraid you can't play creatures during your attack step, and that mana in your pool will burn at the end of combat) and then leaving, or people just leaving in general when they get bored enough?

People are just sore, immature losers if they yell childish things such as "You cheated". They need to suck it up and move on. It's a game and it's not like you're losing money out of your wallet (unless you are crazy and do).

I like it here. It's nice to just chat about whatever. Smile

I'm starting to like this enviroment here aswell, and I created it. I like reading the conversations fly between each other. It really makes me smile. Smile

I can see where the second set of twins come in, but I'd like to see some more backstory on them and why one has to kill the other (or is it that they have to kill the other set of twins?).

The story will 100% definitely be showing backgrounds of the second set of twins and why one twin has to be killed. The whole backstory will be told as it is the huge key element to why this story is happening. The thing is (in short) the village was known to have atleast one pair of twins per generation. To restore balance and peace to this village, they would take a pair of twins have have one kill the other. The thing is, both needed to be commited and want to go through with it. Each time, either something went wrong or one was not commited so the ritual would be repeated next generation. Only one ritual had been successful, but shortly after, the surviving twin was found hung in the hallway of the old manor along with a doll that resembled her twin sister (who was killed in the ritual). Since something bad happened to the surviving one shortly after the ritual, it had to be repeated. I will go more in-depth later on in the story. Just watch out when I release the story. Around the beginning the new twins will find themselves walking down a passageway in the woods with rows of twin sculptures/bodies hanging on the side (the dead twin from each ritual??:eyebrow:

Having a smoking section in a bar is like having a peeing section in the pool. It just all melds together.

I don't understand the point. You still smell the smoke.

Is it at the bottom or the top Shin. I can't seem to find it anywhere at all.
P.S. When did you pass the 1000? Was it long ago? (2 hrs).

I remember when I passed 1000. It took me only 2 months cause I had a lot of freetime and it was Summerbreak for me.

Well, I just came on to post here and get off. I love ya'll and see ya later!

Oh, I'm sorry- what I meant was that a a lot of people went underground into the underground city, while those above were assumed dead due to the catastrophe. The story follows only the people in the underground city, where life continues for generations. Resteraunts are established, a movie theater, homes, businesses, etc. and it explains in relative detail how civilization was stunted, but struggled and continued on without the sun and sky. The diseases were not immediately present, but developed in the adult and elderly over generations. At the "present time" in the story, it's really not an overwhelming presence, but a concerning one.

For an accurate comparison, you'd have to look at cancers in today's society; it's talked about, it's serious, it's not uncommon, but it doesn't cause mass hysteria or immediate death.

I'm just really going to need to read it when you realease it. It sounds interesting. Oh! this brings me to my story.

My story I'm creating is a horror/fantasy/ with a tiny bit of elements of truth. It's based off of a game that I love. It's about two twins named Mio and Mayu (names subject to change) who visit a shiny river that they used to hang out around when they were little kids. While Mio is daydreaming, Mayu sees a Crimson butterfly flying about right in front of her. She follows it deep into the woods behind them. Once Mio snaps out of her daydream, she realizes Mayu is gone and follows her into the woods. Suddenly, Mio is warped into a whole nothersetting. The forest is very dark all of a sudden and it looks like they've went back in time.

The basic thing is, two twin sisters are on a journey to find out where they are. They encounter an old abandoned manor and a little abandoned and destroyed village. As they move through the manor, they hear strange noises and think they see people at times. They eventually have to fight their way through the hordes of ghosts found in the manor using a camera. They soon find themselves amidst of a ritual that took place around the manor a long time ago.

Two twins named Yae and Sae (subject to change) had performed a ritual where one had to kill the other. Something terrible went wrong and the village dissapeared during it!

Now with Mio and Mayu stuck during this place and time period, they will find themselves encountering Yae and Sae and one twin will have to kill the other!

any thoughts about it? I'm going to consider changing a few elements to make it different in some ways.

@S_G: Well that's very good to hear!

Smoking: Heck no!! I definitely don't smoke and I never plan to. I don't favor smoking at all, but I know some people who do. Some people in my family actually (both grandmas). It's there choice to smoke, but it's my choice to not.

Well, I haven't been on much at all lately. We have a new math teacher who is supposed to be our permanent one. She is good so far. I was loaded on homework today, though. I'm just so worn out.
