Anyway, I am an old member and haven't been on here since I sold most my expensive cards in the summer of 2013. I am packing to move and found a The Tabernacle of Pendrell Vale as I packed. Immediately I thought to come back to this great community to sell it, but the forums are completely different and I can't access my account with ~50 trade rep on it to sell this card.

Its been years since I've been here, but getting back into magic and would like to get one of my EDH generals painted up. I really don't know any of the new alterers here and don't know which of the guys I used to buy from still do alters, so I'm just going to throw up an open request for a commission.
I am looking to get this image (http://i.imgur.com/gxzwo.jpg) put on Uril, The Miststalker on a full art alter. With Akuma centered in the middle, showing the grey background and kanji, but with Gouken (the guy on the ground) removed.
I'm looking for someone who can replicate the art style of street fighter 4 rather well, and am willing to pay what the time and effort involved is worth.

oh man i just got back into magic after over a year of not playing, and one of my pet projects was getting a miststalker edh deck going, glad to find this, will give me a good base to go on and show me some new cards i havent seen in the 2 blocks ive missed
Okay, so if I play Nacatl War-Pride in combination with a Stonewood Invocation, when I attack does each attacking creature token gain the +5/5 as well? My friend said that it didn't because it was a copy of the Nacatl War-Pride itself, and that does not include any other cards I played on it earlier that turn. Could someone please clear this up for me?
its because of the skin you are using i am assuming. So anyone using a white background (god only knows how they can stand looking at a white screen without hurting their eyes) will not see anything, but since yours in a charcoal color, you can see it.
I think you should pm the mod about it with that screen shot and explain its only because the skin he/she is using vs. the one you are using.
Would be nice if text color was automatically changed to be able to be seen by whoever by whatever skin they are using, but i dont even know if thats possible, much less worth prioritizing to figure out how to do above other projects the site is undergoing.
In the meantime, i guess id just suggest not using white text.
I see people typing in colors that are the same or very similar to my skin's background, and its not like its their fault im using the skin i am. i just highlight it to read it. i think the infraction was ridiculous, but whatever.
mangara is great on his on, and with karakas he is nuts. i see no reason not to use him.
i agree teferi sucks the fun out of a multiplayer game if dropped early and no one has an answer. it will make people lose interest in the game if they cant do anything to deal with it.
vensor is great. remember also he can bounce a perminant n ot just a spell. plus with shenanigans such as karakas he becomes nuts.
i can see an arguement for and against leyline. i personally wouldnt run them because they are a dead draw in some games, and more than 1 is completely dead. and its an annoying hoser card, which i try to stear clear of in casual.
but the card itself would allow me to shuffle my hand up and make the opponent unaware of which cards i drew, right? i know the "correct" way to do it is keep the piles seperated to avoid accusation of cheat, but the card doesnt make you do that. this isnt a question of " lol guys help me cheat" this card just always bugged me and i dont understand why they cant errata it to work with the rules of the game
scenario - my opponent is at 6 life, im at 3. i have 2 mountains in play, and 2 useless cards in hand. i use my sylvan library and and see i have 2 lightning bolts on top. why cant i put the 2 useless cards in hand on top in their place considering my hand is a hidden zone?
had 2 questions come up at a small tourny over the weekend. it was unsanctioned at our local gaming store and we had no judge.
first thing that came up that no one could answer for sure was trinisphere with an isocron scepter in play. To my understanding, since the scepter makes you play the copied spell without paying its mana cost, trinisphere would make you pay 3, but i was told that since it says "without paying its mana cost" no mana cost was payed and trini wouldnt make you pay 3, which, whether trinisphere effects the copied spell or not, just doesn't sound right to me. To me it seems a question on whether or not it being a copy of the spell makes a difference. i feel it doesnt, since it doesnt put a copy of the spell on the stack, but insteads gives you the option to play it for no mana.
Second question, i had a suppression field out and my opponent played a umezawa's jitte. equip costs are activated abilities, right? i couldnt find a card with the reminder text on me to show him for sure, but im almost positive it is.
mindbreak trap has yet to prove its usefulness. any half competant storm deck is gonna have some form of hand dissruption, orim's chant, or counter backup (FoW, pact or BeB) maindecked or in the board and wouldnt dare going off vs acontrol deck without making sure they had their combo protected
I've tried playing Stax with Enlightened Tutor. Right in the beginning, before I really understood the deck, I wanted to toolbox it.
Not only does E. Tutor work poorly with Chalice at 1 (by far the most common) and Trinisphere, its not a permanent, it reduces the deck's consistency, its card disadvantage, and its slow as hell.
I've been playing two versions of the deck, one with blue splash for Compulsive Research, and the other for green splash for Choke in the SB which works well with Horizon Canopy. I think I like the horizon canopy version better. Its a minimal splash (1 Windswept Heath, 1 Savannah, 4 Mox Diamond & 2 Horizon Canopy being the green sources) and it simply works as a series of bombs your opponent has to answer. Choke is also an additional weapon vs. Thresh and Countertop; I've found it doesn't work very well vs Merfolk. Suppression Field is another fantastic sideboard card I've grown more fond of.
van i ask what your land base looks like? i run 2 savannahs and would love to fit canopy in, but with 4 city, 4 tomb, 4 factory, 4 wasteland, 4 flag stone, 2 sav and 2 plains i dont have much room. i assume u run 3 of of some things? surely u havent cut flagstone, have you?
I am missing some things when it comes to this whole thread and I am still learning how to play this deck; so please take what I say with a little less scrutiny.
As far as LED I am confused how you can play these sorceries unless you have Eternal Witness return them to your hand to use your UUU. Discarding your entire hand means you need Necromoebas and Ichorid to pull the DR to Eternal Witness and would this not be more likely to all come together until T-2? Deep Analysis and Breakthrough are socery speed right? I suppose Bridge could give you additional creatures for the DR too, but what if no Bridge? You could pull a hand full of Cabal Therapy or Deep Analysis, lands, LED, Breakthrough and creatures. LED needs instants or instant speed to use the mana for spells in hand the turn it is cracked?
I think LED works well and has a more desired dynamic for some players, but it is hard to conclude whether or not the non-LED deck cannot work as well given the testing in competitive play as opposed to just goldfishing to determine. What I don't like about goldfishing as a determination is there is no player responding.
Just to clarify, it sounds like you are misunderstood as to how LED works. You can't sack it for mana and in response use instants from your hand, for two reasons. First, discarding your hand is part of the cost, so your hand is discarded before anyone gets to respond to anything. and second, its a mana ability, so it can't be responded to because they don't use the stack.
To me it seems like you are thinking LED is used to cast instants, but what its usually used for is flashing back a DA, sacing a CC, and sometimes used in response to a careful study or a breakthrough for 1-2, and of course, to discard your hand. Other than that I have never used it for anything else, and don't think there are any other uses for it in the deck.
In storm decks its usually used in response to a wish, draw 4 or tutor so you discard before you get the card(s) and have 3 mana to use on the cards you just tutor/drew/wished for.
extended is the only format i dont have a deck for. ive played afew casual 1.x tourneys at my lgs with modified 1.5 and t2 decks, but to me its the least exciting. it just seems like a halfwit legacy format. so many of the decks end up being weakend legacy decks, which i will admit some decks get developed in extended and get sent to legacy, but im not doubting 1.x's deckbuilders and players. its just if im playing a deck i want it to be as powerful as possible, and this is true for all decks in legacy except combo, which is obviously ruled by vintage. and with standard there is the appeal of playing in a closed environment of 5-8 sets.
i was playing a warp world deck and my opponent played an oblivion ring on my ob nixilis, the fallen_ i cast a WW and after i put 7 lands into play he conceded. i asked him why and he told me the ob nixilis was already in play from oblivion ring getting shuffled. to my understanding the o ring trigger wouldnt hit until WW finished resolving. it didnt matter for that particular game because i warped into another ob nixilis any way, but i just wanna make sure im understanding this correctly
