I'm digging the list, but what are the win cons here? Slow creature beats or hoping your opponent scoops to a lock? Would it be hard to slide in a doomsday wincon?
That turn with palinchron/mana reflection was absolutely disgusting hahaha. I love this deck, I also have a similar build. I would definitely consider cutting beastmadter ascension considering your low creature count and just throw minds dialation in its place, the card is the real deal in rashmi.
Hey guys. Awhile back, Maelstrom Wanderer was my life. He is still my favorite card, but at the time, my group wasn't as competitive and the salt in my store was real, so I chose to break down my deck and put it into other not as competitive decks. Here is my deck list exactly, I put this on tapped out shortly before I took it apart in case I ever wanted to come back to it, ended up being pretty popular.
Anyways, today I opened a foil wanderer out of a EMA pack and my overwhelming sense of love for the card came back and I can't fight it anymore. It's time to put the beast back together.
My question for you guys is, could you take a look at my list and kind of update me on what new cards have been proven to be the real deal and have been slotted in? What could I take out for them? Any help is appreciated!
Most of the changes were for budget reasons, but I did make some changes for personal taste / tweaking. Corpse Churn has been amazing, so I know Grapple with the Past will be also.
I did some pretty hardcore testing on Tabletop Simulator before finally ordering the cards for the deck. It plays really well in all but the most elite settings. It's definitely not a duel deck though.
Currently my only deck is a marchesa good stuff deck, but after seeing Gisa and Geralf spoiled today, im dead set on finally making a zombie tribal deck. My question for you is, besides the token doublers, what are you really gaining from green in a zombie tribal deck by running sidisi? Just curious.
I would like to second ArcherDarks comments on the utility of green for a zombie deck. I would understand the spirit of your doubt on including green in a zombie commander if it were just any Sultai-colored general simply for access to green. However, with Sidisi, Brood Tyrant that is not the case. It's not used as the commander simply for access to green but because it's a zombie engine that has ridiculous synergy with zombies and the graveyard. Dredging and self-milling are predominantly green/black. Green also has access to graveyard recursion, ramp, and token enabling. Curiously, green self-mills more than blue and/or black ever could. On top of that, green self-mill cards have built in recursion in them (Mulch, Grisly Salvage, Sudden Reclamation, Life from the Loam, (and even some new cards from Eldritch Moon), among others). Green self-mill spells and abilities help Sidisi incredibly in doing so many things at once in one motion. ArcherDarks already mentioned some of the best green cards for the deck as well.
I like your deck for what it is but I'm more interested in a build that focuses more on zombies with a bunch of synergy and maybe some infinite combos.
@DementedKirby, Just curious, your zombie build in the first post, that is more likely the deck that I want to try and build. But you also call it a casual build, does it have the stopping power to take down a whole table or is it actually a casual build? I want the best zombie deck out there without straying to much from the theme.

Anyone got an updated paper list for this deck? Just got into pauper and am playing some events this weekend and I realized that the paper version could differ a lot from the mtgo version.
Thank you guys! I've been on the deck since December of last year, and have really enjoyed it.
@bronzekneecap, the Relics haven't been the worse card for me so they might stay. If they were to come out, it would be a meta call. I can see filling it with 2 Angers, 2 Pia and Kiran, or it could become the 4th Explore and something else. I would like to try some Pact-able creature that ties into the SB plans. Eternal Witness crossed my mind, so it might be fine to try as a 1 of (I think this is on the same branch as GDD).
I saw the comment several times that blue decks are not really an issue for this deck. Can someone explain me how come? I am planning to build this deck but not really sure how is it favorable if any of our wincons can be easily countered.
They only have so many counters in modern, and eventually we can just play around remand/mana leak. We have different wincons, not just scapeshift. And if all else fails, we enter hard mode by just making land drops with an active valakut and they dont have any interaction with it.

Why no spellskites in your board?
