Then I think it would be a good fight. Round 1 Big G probably loses, round 2 is close, and round 3 Galactus probably wins by a pretty significant margin.
Repronts are inevitable if you want to expend the playerbase, especially with Modern. The format was created with the idea of having an eternal format for which WotC could reprint cards without taking down the fu***** reserve list.
The player base can be expanded by creating new expansions in the typical manner. There aren't enough Onslaught fetchlands out there for players who want them? Reprint them in Khans twelve years after the original printings. That's fine. That works. But to just say "oh okay here, we'll make you more fetchlands with a made up expansion symbol on them that isn't actually an expansion.... what kind of person would feel like they have a legitimate Polluted Delta or Wooded Foothills?
Me. Go play yu-gi-oh and tell me how special your LOB 1st Edition foil Monster Reborn is since it was almost immediatly put into a pre-con as a non foil common. And then nearly every pre-con after, until they banned it or something.
Well considering the Monster Reborn you speak of is still $70-$80, I don't think anyone that owns one is going to be quite sad at all.
People who are so up-in-arms against blue and infinite combos, claiming it's "unfun".
They then proceed to drop Iona, Shield of Emeria. I really don't understand this mentality; I'd rather have someone combo out so we can play another game than sit there locked out of doing nothing.
His argument? "People shouldn't play mono-color decks then."
Note: This didn't happen to me, I play three color, but someone else.
Griselbrand is probably among the most powerful demons in the Multiverse, but likely not *the* most powerful. He was top demon on a black-aligned horror plane; I think he's a big deal even if he isn't *the* big deal. Despite being defeated by Avacyn, he's still tricky enough to seal her with him for a time. He's a slippery one even when defeated. It's just that the Chain Veil, wielded by a Planeswalker, was too powerful. It may be able to one-shot big shots like Griselbrand and Kothephed but we've seen its use comes at a drastic price. For what it's worth Lilliana attempted returning the Chain Veil and presumably killing the remaining two demons without it so IDK if that suggests something about the remaining two or if that says more about her reluctance to be in debt to the artifact down the line instead, or both.
I don't know if Griselbrand's essence will reform as the other demons had when Avacyn killed them. Lilliana and the Chain Veil are extra-planar and he was said to have been destroyed utterly and presumably permanently. If he does return though, he won't be the same demon anyway I suppose but I have a feeling he will not, being killed by a force foreign to the plane and quite powerful at that.
Withgenger is an interesting contender, but I doubt he is more powerful than Girselbrand. Withgenger was successfully sealed after all, so someone had effectively defeated him. And presumably before the time of Avacyn too, since he was sealed in an artifact and not the Helvault.
Withengar is an interesting example. The story which features him suggests that demons on Innistrad come back as themselves if destroyed. So if Griselbrand isn't dead (although I think creative has been clear that he's gone) he'll come back and know exactly what happened.
We don't know exactly what happened to Withengar to result in him being bound so I don't know if its fair to say being bound means he's less powerful than Griselbrand. Currently he seems likely to be the top demon on Innistrad. I mean even while bound he was powerful enough to either control St Traft or completely deceive his senses.
Demons on Innistrad reform as new demons, not as the same. There will be no return of Griselbrand.
I welcome this change. I find playing against spell crumple and hinder extremely boring. You just basically sit there not playing your commander, and your opponent sits there not tapping three mana. Yawn. This rules change encourages actually playing cards, which is pretty important in 4+ player games.
I'm under the assumption that this is some hypothetical game where the only spell you can cast is your commander and the only spells your opponent(s) can cast are their counters...
What a joke. My venue will be house-ruling otherwise.
Also, "The presence of tuck encourages players to run more tutors." Um, what? No, people run tutors because they're absolutely absurd in this format, not because they're concerned about their general getting tucked.

Enjoy getting that one.
No Serum Visions is inexcusable.
Maybe Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood

Good question. I'm honestly not quite sure. Also I'm pretty sure Yawgmoth would roflstomp Goku as well.
