Quote from Marek14 »Quote from diego »I like Partner, because of it 15 cards gives us 120 different options: 8 for each 4-color combination8 for each wedge5 for each shard3 for each enemy pair (2 solo, 1 partnered)1 for each allied pair (not partnered) Including the five 4-color commanders that gives us 125 different possible decks with only 20 cards, that seems like a pretty efficient use of cards. While I'm sure not all of them will be amazing I'm guessing that most will at least be playable. There's only 7 combinations for each 4-color: 1 combination of 2 allied, 2 combinations of allied + enemy and 4 of enemy + enemy.

Quote from Duke Daemon »Quote from diego »Quote from Duke Daemon » Not really, Rakdos Ragemutt has lifelink and Goblin Deathraiders has trample. The Ragemutt and Deathraiders have those abilities because they are multicolor, and not hybrid. Multicolor gets abilities that either color can get, hybrid only gets abilities that both get access to. So a card with the weird hybrid cost could get First Strike because both black and red have access to it, and Vigilance because both white and green have access to that. But it could not get Trample because while green and red have access to that, since it is possible to cast the card with just white and black mana that card doesn't get access to it (Lifelink is the same but reverse the colors). Sorry true, there is mono black creatures with trample and mono red creatures with it too. Thanks MrThaddeus! Always nice to see people happy about it. I tried making a proxy version of her in edh. At first people were pissed but then they realised she wasn't that powerful cause I had access to almost no mana ramp.

Quote from Glinwood » - is it your personal opinion that (certain) penalties exist to teach players at tournaments, or do you know this as a fact ?
Quote from Infraction Procedure Guide » The purpose of a penalty is to educate the player not to make similar mistakes in the future. This is done through both an explanation of where the rules or policies were violated and a penalty to reinforce the education. Penalties are also for the deterrence and education of every other player in the event and are also used to track player behavior over time.
