Good catch, I guess it could still be:
Imprint — If an instant or sorcery card you don't control would be put into an opponent's graveyard from anywhere, you may pay 2 life to exile it instead.
Not sure if that's cleaner than "you don't own or control" or not.
Edit: I guess that still doesn't get around milling yourself, though. Maybe "own or control" is the best wording then. For some reason I just don't like it.
Could I suggest that instead of saying:
Imprint — If an instant or sorcery card you don’t own or control would be put into a graveyard from anywhere, you may pay 2 life to exile it instead.
You could word it as:
Imprint — If an instant or sorcery card would be put into an opponent's graveyard from anywhere, you may pay 2 life to exile it instead.
Edit: Nevermind. I forgot about the your life can't change part. I guess the only way you can die is if there is a non-targeted opponents lose the game, non-targeted mill, or someone else gets an alt. win-con
When I saw this, I was super excited! I actually did a fairly extensive 4e campaign based on the Zendikar story line and had a lot of materials that I created for it.
I was a little disappointed at the execution of this, but considering it's free, I'm not complaining too much. I really wish there were some MTG spells converted into D&D, and a little more care spent on the monsters instead of just "need a griffon, use the griffon stats".
If they released a product for purchase that was more detailed, I would definitely buy it.
Based on some of the information in the more recent UR stories, it has been stated that planeswalkers cannot take another person with them. Has this been established anywhere? From what I have previously read, it is possible for planeswalkers to bring another creature with them, but that is contradicted recently. Maybe that is just old-walkers? Has it ever been stated what would happen, say, if Kiora were to try and planeswalk away with her sister? Would she die, or simply fail to travel with her? They can obviously bring objects, so is this just limited to living beings?
From the wiki:
Planeswalking is a form of magic. With enough time and mana, or with specialized spell knowledge, or with access to enormous power, it's possible for a planeswalker to transfer clothing, artifacts and/or creatures with him as he planeswalks.
That seems to indicate it's possible, but I see it is based on something Doug wrote back in 2007, so who knows if it's still accurate.
I am having the same problem, and also cannot contact their customer service or tech support. I'm sure I've registered but when I ask it to reset my password it tells me the email address I am putting in is not valid. When I try and register using that same email, it tells me that email address is already being used. Does anyone know of another way to contact them?
I wanted to say that I just got done reading through all of this thread and that you guys are awesome! It has come from sidesplitting hilarity to actual useful generated cards. Well done!!!!
I would like to be one of the few to say that I am excited about this! I loved drafting the powered cube when it was available (my first chance to play with the Power 9). Although I may or may not decide to play Vintage, I love playing on MTGO and drafting a set like this should be fun!
And to those who have expressed displeasure in the fact that Wizards has previously said they wanted to release the P9 in 2013 I say this: I would rather they do the release "right" than just release the cards to buy individually or in an under-developed set. Just as I prefer any video game I'm interested in to be delayed rather than to release "on-time" but be an inferior product.
You could fix the Karn's soldier issue by adding on a clause to stop it from being repeated:
Karn's Solider
Legendary Artifact Creature- Golem Solider [MR]
Vigilance
If you would lose the game, restart the game instead. During that game cards named ~ may not be played.
Cycling
5/5
I just added the cycling to make sure it is not a dead card after the game is restarted.
Thanks, guys.
That's pretty much what I was thinking. Usually I just sell cards when I need tickets, I have a pretty large collection (although most of it is filler). But with high money cards, I'm never sure when the best time to sell them is.
So, I've played in a few modern masters drafts for fun and gotten a few money cards, such as a Tarmogoyf and a foil Vendilion Clique. I'm not sure if I should sell them now, or wait? I don't plan on playing them as I really only play commander or limited.
I know that prices are different online as opposed to paper, but I don't really follow prices. My thoughts are that I should wait a few months, but thought I'd get another opinion first.
