Maybe if we get a better picture of the Soulgorger we can see more Phyrexian likenesses with other Phyrexian's besides it's name is Phyrexian.
I personally can see loads of spines and razor like things in the art but it is covered with ice.
Maybe Yawgmoth had a good reason making this Phyrexian looking like a frosted T-Rex like dinosaur.
Only time will tell..or not
Another reason for Tempest being so abstract is because of the setting, the whole land twists and curves under you feet sice the whole plane is made of flowstone, the sky is purple and has a constant storm, and a large variety of creatures where pulled from Dominaria and got stuck in Rath of even worse between 2 worlds ( shadow creatures like the Dauthi and Soltari), this made moere room for people painting vey abstract and surreal, becuase in Rath nothing is what it seems.
In a place of untruth the living lie rules.
I know that Dinosaurs eventually evolved into birds( small ones like Compsognathus did ) but it is impossible for a large dinosaur to survive an Ice Age, they are warmblooded i know but they have no further protection against the cold.
Human's are warmblooded and can we survive butt naked on Antartica?no we can't..,and we are better addapted to an Ice Age then a dinosaur
do multi colors count? if so you have a lot more, Hanna and Volrath( the card was black but admit it he has a couple of blue traits, was a shapeshifter and would have been printed as a u/b legend if it would have been printed back in tempest block)
It also is lots of fun to play on a Yawgmoth's will or a Tinker in t1
I think it will see some play in every format it is legal in, at least in sideboard's
it sounds rather unlikekly that the creature type dinosaur makes a comeback, sice all the dinosaurs in magic ( pygmy allosaurus is an exception.) are beats or lizards. ven so it is very unrealistic and absurd, dinosaurs cannot survive an ice age even if they are the only reptile's that are warmblooded and some raptor like dinosaurs have feathers
