I love Gyome and that good name is a play on Guillaume. He makes me think of a French master chef. Also the Promise of Power your demon summoner is cool.
Until end of turn, target nonland permanent loses all of its abilities and becomes, your choice of a Blue Frog creature with base power and toughness 1/1, or a Blue Octopus creature with base power and toughness 4/4.

Test of Skill seems really good, to me. Countering an Ultimatum will feel really good. Also, I want more humanoid Frogs, please.
I mean, it's certainly good. Surprised it's not a sorcery. I'm not sure if it has the same draw to it as growth spiral did, being that it's 2 mana vs 4 mana, but I would probably play this card in a variety of formats.
Yeah it loses efficiency, but I will definitely try subbing out other draw 2 for 4 variants for it. Won't know until I try.
Draw two cards. You may put a land card from your hand onto the battlefield.
"At first, the equations were simply numbers. But in those numbers I saw a story, and in that story I saw a pattern, and suddenly it all fit together!"
Search your library and graveyard for up to four creature cards with different names that each have mana value X or less and reveal them. An opponent chooses two of those cards. Shuffle the chosen cards into your library and put the rest onto the battlefield. Exile Ecological Appreciation.
It’s true, this card is great in Magic Christmas-land.
Isn't Arena also about Christmas land? That's why I'm historic they always have 3 BTE and in Standard they always have two Beast + Great Henge? Christmasland is what you aim for.
Green already has an over abundance of efficient ramp. It didnt need inefficient ways to ramp other people too.
This slots easily into Golgari Dream Devourer decks. Casting it for four mana will be great. I already play a high land count, because turn 2 Dream Devourer into turn 3 Azusa, Lost but Seeking means I can still foretell after dropping Azusa.
t1 land
t2 land willow(i hope we get something better than this), maybe something that add any color
t3 magma opus discard and outburst discard, or just two magma or two outburst if i'm lucky
t4 now i have 4 land + willow and two treasure any color, i cast lorehold dragon that search and cast genesis
One thing to note about your line with Genesis Ultimatum. It looks like at a bare minimum you're expecting to have 8 non-permanents plus Ultimatums in your deck. Make sure you don't put too many spells, because you'll give yourself less potent Ultimatums.
That isn't really a problem with Emergent decks so long as you have a nice suite of gets in the deck.
Awesome. Now we can do it for Sultai, too! How fun?!

Really hesitant about using this in EDH, actually.
This is normally the sort of big and splashy X spell that I love casting as it more than likely leaves me with a counter in hand and the mana to use it.
Most of my spellslinger decks are fairly light on actual win-cons, however, and the thought of accidentally exiling 2+ of them with a big X... the thought isn’t pleasant.
That just means X has to be 40+. ALWAYS RED! ALWAYS RED!
Did you notice how none of the commons you cite remove planeswalkers, but almost all of the rares do?
They literally printed a 4 mana exile target creature or planeswalker in the last set with Feed the Serpent. So the ability here is bumping the card from common to rare, and tbh you've got to be pretty desperate to use that ability, I don't see that ability doing anything for the card in terms of making it constructed playable, and it will be mainly used as a Feed the Serpent in limited.
I think you've nailed it on the head, yourself. Desperation will result in this being cast cheaper. Opponent drops foretold Vorinclex and Ugin and I only have 2 mana open? I'm smashing the card as fast as possible.
In Historic Torrential Gearhulk kovesboth of these modes. I'm not sure it's as good as Sublime Epiphany in the Gearhulk deck but it's a fun toy to add to that she'll.
I'd probably have Epiphany instead, and there are goodcompellingarguments to go Dimir instead of Prismari in a Gearhulk shell.
I'm currently Azorious Gearhulk in Bo3 and love that deck to bits but am sorely tempted to add red for uncounterable Chandra so anything that giv s me the edge there is welcome. The fact that I can Gearhulk, Epiphany into a copy of Gearhulk and then cast this off the copy seems pretty good and having the treasure token is a fairly big deal to boot. Though I don't disagree that Dimir Geerhulk is a thing.
If you are Jeskai though you might as well run Inspired Ultimatum which is better than this.
It's a great card, no doubt, but Gearhulk doesn't see it.
Also, I feel like people are missing that cycling this for a Treasure helps you cast Gearhulk a turn earlier.
Opp: Avenger of Zendikar. I have 13 lands.
Me: Elimination Ritual. I have 13 mana floating.
