I don't like using Rite of Replication for two reasons:
It's hella annoying to try and figure out tokens for regular cards.
Its power level ranges from 'pretty good' (Eternal Witness) to 'I win' (Terastodon). I like to build decks where my cards make each other better, and raw-power stuff like Rite of ReplicationCyclonic Rift leave a bad taste in my mouth.
By the way, the title means "response of the Russian youth to sanctions and restrictions".
Either way, it would be harder to make anything more russian if you tried.
Some of these 'box opening' posts I'm a little doubtful of.
I suppose it could be observer bias, but how can every box have Goyf, Clique, Bob, foil Cryptic, etc etc etc?
In my meta, the words "I will attempt a prophet" are nearly always followed by a cacophony of responses. If the prophet ends up resolving, there is a HUGE target on the head of the caster.
PS I guess people will keep complaining nevertheless: you wanted an accessible reprint, now you have and you complain.
The solution for an in-demand, $10 common rarity card is a reprint at the common level (MAYBE upshifted to uncommon) in a set, duel deck, or some other mass-produced product that is easily and cheaply accessible. For a company to say that a limited-time, limited-availability, alternate-art, promo foil, that will likely command $20 or more, is a good idea as a SOLUTION to that problem is both laughable and insulting.
I like how whenever you see a Modern Masters discussion thread, after a certain point the posts change from "this set is awesome, I can't wait to draft/crack it!" abruptly to "this sucks wtf wizards magic is dead".
Ok, so I walked into my LGS today to buy a couple of packs and some odd end cards I was interested in, and during the time I asked the person behind the counter what they thought of MM2015. To be honest I wanted to hear the opinion of a store employee/owner who would be selling the merchandise.
He looked at me for a second and with a straight face said. "It looks like a great and powerful set." Confused by him saying this I inquired if he had seen the full spoiler to which he has and even said that paying 10 dollars a pack for this set was a very good deal and that most of the rares great picks for this MM and that he expected the set to sell fast.
I quickly realized WTC agents had already came by the place and lobotomized everyone, or that the person behind the counter was a lunatic, either way I quickly left before I found out.
He's not exactly going to give you his honest opinion if it's his job to sell you the cards, now is he?
I could see Ancient Ziggurat happening to support the Elemental decks.
This is assuming that there's a spot in front of Azorius Chancery at all, which there well might not be.

This SO much.

Because if you can't beat the speculators, join them.
