Im not so sure lack of emblem interaction is the problem. I think the bigger issue is the power lvl of emblems in general. More often than not they just read "you win the game".
That said, I highly doubt we'll see anything that does interact with them. Its far too narrow of an answer in terms of card design. An increase in cards that can interact with planeswalkers should be sufficient. We have Spyglass. A wrath for walkers, Needle, a new Hexmage, or any number of "in color" answers would go a long way
Since some people mentioned Immortal Sun. Maybe WoTC will make a version of it at 4 cmc or even at 2 cmc, work like a Stony Silence that stops walkers from activating?
I dunno about IS, but I fully expect a grixis colored wrath effect for walkers. We already have Sorcerous Spyglass. Some are speculating we could get a Pithing Needle reprint. Some sort of Vampire Hexmage variant seems like a no brainer as well.
Clearly speculation, but based purely off something mentioned in a recent article, im guessing #4 is Jace's mother. The cloak she's wearing seems similar to his own. Could #12 be a descendant of Umezawa? Or perhaps an ascended Ayesha?
Really dislike this idea. Im all for exploring new solutions to what is perceived as a problem with the current mulligan, but imo the answer is not to replace it with something that lends itself to abuse and a certain style of deck. The bigger the card pool, the more room for abuse.
are we talking BO1 or BO3? The answer makes a world of difference. If we're talking the former, then issue you're addressing is everything that's wrong with BO1 and why (I would argue) it's a horrid format.
Standard doesnt have a blue aggro deck. The deck that just won the MC is a tempo deck and its not without its faults and poor matchups, just like any other deck
I just buy the full playset from my local LGS. Usually i can acquire ~ $300 in store credit between sets to help offset some of the cost of each preorder

Thats arguable.....but more importantly it shouldnt be something thats on the table imo. If you wanna give out other monies/prizes, fine....but everyone should have to play the same number of matches in a given tournament
This deck 100% wants Growth-Chamber Guardian. Its REALLY good with Rhythm from what ive seen on stream the last 2 days. Its basically a 2 mana 3/3 Squadron Hawk
