I know it's like an intro pack rare, but Spawn of Thraxes might be better than artisan of K?
Considering its an ETB effect while artisan is on cast, looks like it can rack up some serious damage later in the game.
Nice. Seems like a fun option for a mono blue commander. Not as oppressive as azami, and more spelltacular than talrand. I might give this a try as a commander soon.
Maybe try one of the new planeswalker decks? You can pick them up for a decent price at Target or similar big box store. You can upgrade them as time goes on and they start pretty strong. Maybe buy a couple boosters first, crack them and see what sweet cards are in them, and then buy the deck that is the same colors.
Also, for sure buy sleeves right off the bat. It will keep your cards in good condition for much much longer.
Dragonshield is a good brand, KMC is top of the line however
The flavor texts have been pretty fantastic Artifact
4: target creature gets +4/+4 until end of turn and that creature gets +7/+7 until end of turn
Tap an untapped permanent you control, Tap an untapped land you control: any number of target Myr become Myr in addition to their other types (This effect doesn't end) and those creatures get +1/+1 until end of turn
--Her prayer may catch even the wish
– Dyr Sooch, Baron of the Altar
Converted mana cost: 3
-This card seems actually pretty damn good. 4 mana for +11/+11 And some sweet myr... synergy?
Sorcery (white and red)
search your library for a land card and put it into the battlefield, then shuffle your library
Forecast - Discard a card, Reveal ~this~ from your hand: ~this~ deals 4 damage to target player
Converted mana cost: 1
lol @ naya burns new staple
Creature - Rat (2/1, black)
4, Sacrifice ~this~: clash with an opponent. If you win, draw a card, then discard three cards
If an opponent would draw a card, instead destroy all creatures
deathtouch
Converted mana cost: 6
ha ha on-board board wipe.
oh yeah and it has deathtouch
Last laugh is more like an unexpected nuke waiting to go off. I would take it that you tend to do far more damage than you receive most of the time.
I missed burning sands? whoops! Then how about tainted aether to compliment the douchebaggery? You seem to like putting them in a painful quandary anyway.....
Believe me I also considered Tainted Æther but that miiight be going a little too far. It is also floating around in my maybe pile.
Æther Flash isnt just for tokens. It works wonders with Death Pits of Rath. Since they come into play, take 2 damage, then die from the pits. Easy way to make sure no one plays any creatures.
My feeling was I already have stuff for that effect like Lethal Vapors and Spreading Plague. They kind of do the job already and don't require a second enchantment to work (Death Pits of Rath)
Why not add Æther Flash to the deck since it helps deal with Token Decks. Plus works wonders with Death Pits of Rath
I have thought about adding Æther Flash. But tokens has not given a huge headache yet, if they become a problem I will find room for it but as of right now it's floating around in the maybe pile.
Pyrohemia, Pestilence, and last laugh are all obscene with mogis. The last one is even better because it acts as a second vicious shadows which tends to be obscene in creature killing decks. Also hilarious with obliterate and jokulhaups....
edit: I also forgot to mention burning sands. Who said red/black couldn't do enchantress?
I have for sure been thinking about Pyrohemia and Pestilence but I haven't figured out what I'm going to cut for them yet. Last Laugh for some reason does not seem that good to me. With pyro and pest you can control the amount of damage, with LL, I can see myself dying to that more often than not.
And Burning Sands is already in the deck. That card can be so gross I love it
I run a couple MLD spells in my Mogis deck. Obliterate and (cycling) Decree of Annihilation
I really only cast them when I think that I am going to win next turn or the turn after. It's enchantment tribal, so hopefully all my stuff like Baneful Omen, Price of Knowledge and Mogis himself will kill the opponents before they can recover. No one has really complained, it's just how the deck puts away a game. Very similar to someone landing a Craterhoof Behemoth or ultimating their Elspeth, Sun's Champion, The game is probably going to end and that's fine, just shuffle up and start a new game.
I'm not sure Grave Pact would be the best fit in this deck, you're trying to make him be alone right? Having only one creature to take advantage of pact seems not really good. I do like the idea of having lash and that living weapon equipment in there, and getting swords of x and y will probably be important
How have the LD cards played out? My Mogis is pingers and LD and is still sitting at zero wins =(
I haven't played with the decree yet, hasn't arrived in the mail yet. (hopefully coming today)
I've only gotten to cast the Obliterate once since that was a fairly recent addition, but I won when I did. After it resolved I just beat them to death with mogis and drained them out with Baneful Omen and Palace Siege.
I'd try to get a few Wall of Omens for the defender deck. It's a little pricey of an uncommon but that deck needs strong card to compete. Sweet idea though.
I'd try to get some Merciless Executioners for the blue black sacrifice deck. The interaction with deathfang is just too sweet to pass up but I don't think it's too complicated.
I think you should scrap the land destruction deck. Mana denial is largely consider unfun. No kid is going to like being part of game that they can't do anything in. For the same reason you should avoid decks that are very heavy on counter spells, discard, and kill spells. No one wants to be controlled out of a game when they are just starting.
I'd also suggest some sort of black white life drain deck. The sets Eventide and Gatecrash have a bunch of cool cards you can use for this one. It's a pretty pushed theme by wizards so cards show up for this deck in almost every set.
I hope all this helps.
Sorry for the late reply.
I love the idea of going more all in with the self mill plan for G/B. Especially Drown in Filth and Grisly Salvage. That will for sure be part of my next update.
Unfortunately Wall of Omens is more expensive than I'd like to put in the deck. Executioners seem like a great choice for U/B.
Shockingly to myself as well, the kids seem to enjoy playing with and against the LD deck. It's not the easiest deck to win with either. It's got Savage Twister and that's about it in terms of removal. Just play some flyers and start crashing in for the win.
G/W auras is definitely on the table. Especially since Mesa Enchantress was printed at uncommon recently. There was a B/W allies lifegain themed deck at first actually. However someone made a poor choice and decided to drink orange juice while playing and yeah...
Let's just say we don't eat or drink while playing anymore. I guess I just haven't worked up the desire to rebuild that one. I think I would want to make that the aura deck, with stuff like edge of the divinity and that orzhov card.

In seriousness, in terms of fun enchantments how about Sneak Attack or Impromptu Raid. Could be fun to get some dargons down
Also, for sure buy sleeves right off the bat. It will keep your cards in good condition for much much longer.

Good luck and have fun

Out ------- In
Wild Evocation --------- Obliterate
Black Sun's Zenith ------- Decree of Annihilation
Mizzium Mortars ------- Damnable Pact
Barter in Blood -------- Cursed Totem
Wild Evocation didn't wow me, same with mortars. Zenith and Barter kill my commander, so they are out.
Included some more brutal cards, hope to slam the door on a game with obliterate or decree. Cursed totem for beating up on creature decks. Damnable pact for more card draw.

This was the first thing I thought of ha ha.
