Thank you for the insight. My only worry is that with the "upkeep of a permanent", I don't know how good this card would be on turn 3. I will give it a low power and moderate toughness for sure. Thank you.
I need some assistance in calculating power and toughness for a specific creature. I understand there is a scale, but I added something that changes the creature's casting cost. I am not sure what is the proper power and toughness that I should give the creature. *Power and Toughness doesn't have to be the same, it could be 4/6 or 6/4 for example*

At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice a permanent.
Tribute (You may sacrifice any number of permanents as you cast this spell. It costs 1 less to cast for each card sacrificed this way.)
I picked red because I want a new way to deal with nonbasic lands that doesn't involve destroy or damage. Something along the lines of Blood Moon but unique.
Is Izzet a so aggressive color that it doesn't mind taking repeated damages from its lands? Having Painlands for aggressive colors needing to cast one and two drops on curve is common, far less for controlling colors.
You are correct. I switched out a couple of lands to give red more Painlands. Thank you for the idea.
Is there a particular reason you're pushing Izzet in this cube? It's an interesting idea, so I'm curious about the story behind it.
I am pushing Izzet more as an experiment. I wanted to give blue and red a more broad identity. Blue, in most cases, seems to be always stone cold control in a lot of cubes. Red, on the other hand, is always about burn and being aggressive. I wanted to give both those colors a deeper identity. I hope to accomplish this by almost making Izzet into the 6th color of the cube. Izzet, I feel, is the strangest of the color pairs. It brings to the table a unique style of play that the other color combinations do not have. It plays very combat-combo oriented. It's just for experimental purposes. If it doesn't work out, I am willing to cut the idea of supporting Izzet more than the other color combinations.
Question: You have two Izzet Guildgates and your only pain land is Izzet. Are you trying to push that archetype? And why run the friend gates when you have Akoum Refuge and friends, except for the enemy gates.
Yes, I am trying to push the Izzet archetype more than any other two color combination. I am running the friend gates because there are no Akoum Refuge style enemy lands. Just doing it to be balanced is all. I am thinking of reducing the Izzet Guildgate to one; it will be done in the near future.
I'm wondering why you only have 1 painland in this cube? I guess your still fixing up your cube? I have an unpowered cube that is around 360 or 390 cards. I'm making my cube with only bouncelands, signets and painlands. I want to make sure I have all 10 pain lands in my cube. I do have 5 dual lands including an Underground Sea but would rather not play those. I don't want to spend money on a bunch of lands besides the painlands I need. I currently have only 8 painlands in my cube. I just need the G/W and U/R painlands.
There is only one painland because it's designed to push the Izzet color combination a little more than any other two color combination. I didn't put the Signets because I consider them to be too closely related to ramp. Since green in my cube is the color to ramp, I didn't want to take away their thunder by introducing ramp to the other colors in the form of signets.

Cube Description: Steampunk vs Cyberpunk Cube is centered around medium powered cards, or strong Vintage cards without the access of strong enablers. Examples of a medium powered card would be Hellhole Flailer or Skywatcher Adept. Examples of Vintage cards without the access of strong enablers would be Mind Twist without the inclusion of Moxen or Dark Ritual.
There are two noted controversial aspect of the Cube, one is the inclusion of Custom Cards. These cards were included to not only strengthen the theme, but to reskin, buff, and spice up several real MTG cards. Here are examples:
The other controversial aspect of this Cube is making the Izzet color combination feel like a sixth color rather than a splash in the Cube. This change was decided to make the Cube feel more Cyberpunk/Steampunk. I feel like this faction embodies that feel very well and I hope my drafters see it through that perspective.
My ultimate goal for the Cube is to have it feel like an authentic FNM draft experience, while giving that 'wow' spice-factor of cards never before seen. All Custom Cards are professionally printed in plastic waterproof stock. The back of these cards is of a custom design as to not be mistaken for real MTG cards when outside of a sleeve. All Custom Cards are for my own use in the Cube and are NOT for sale. I do not want to infringe on any copyright issues with Wizards of the Coast, nor do I condone any use proxy cards being passed off as real MTG cards.

My card was not shown in "Today's Entries". I would like to use the same card for December 9th that I submitted for December 8th if possible. I don't know if I committed another penalty of some sort that caused my card not to show up on the roster today for voting.
