Is anyone playing chalice of the void or have any opinions on it?

Hey I skimmed the forum and didn't see any talk on mox opal. The addition would force you to most likely increase dark steel citadel to 4 copies, but in theory it could speed the deck up.

Also, what about monastery mentor? He is very slow for what this deck is trying to do, but he would help with removal spell weakness of the deck and could easily end the game if you I tap with him. The tokens also work nicely with mortar pod.

I have no experience with the deck, just some thoughts

As long as we are considering the living weapons as creatures 50:50 sounds perfect

I think sunspear shikari would just add more to your already high amount of 2 drop creatures. It also seems like a worse vault skirge. In my opinion first strike seems worse than flying.

I feel like this deck can afford to run a good amount of colorless lands. Something like 2 ghost quarter 2 citadel seems completely reasonable

I like your point about hallowed moonlight Porousboat. All the cards you listed seem slightly annoying for this deck.

Is there any merit to the rest in peace in the board to be a relic or another artifact grave hate card to help with metalcraft?

And Porousboat have you toyed at all with glint hawk and mox Opal? Kor duelist might be better making hawk unnecessary, but an explosive start may help us against decks who are just trying to stabilize against us. The amount of zero mana artifacts may be too low in your current build, so adding something like Darksteel citadel or an accorders shield may fix that.

It doesn't seem great but etched champion does dodge ugin board wipe and pyroclasm. And pithing needle does "answer" all of trons problem cards while also being immune to an ugin wipe. I don't think this will make our tron match up positive but it may help as both of these cards have many other applications

So i like the idea of having a gavony back uplan with like 8 1 drop dorks and walls or having utopis sprawl arbor elf garruk as back up plans and ramp

Thank you for the quick and informative response.

Has reshape ever been a consideration? Seems slow but opens up the deck to so many other options.

have you ever wanted abrupt decay over natures claim?

oh and one final question is bauble just a gap filler? can it be replaced with more hand disruption or dig or something? seems kinda cute.

Hey Thnkr really love the deck and the videos you have up.

I wanted to ask a couple questions about your build. I have no experience with the deck so sorry if my questions are stupid or obvious, but I would love to start playing it on paper.

So first are the MB duress a budget thing? when i think about it i cant really think of any creatures we care about except maybe pridemage or a thalia on the draw. I know we probably shouldnt play seize MB because our burn match up game 1 seems pretty bad. So is there much difference between duress and IOK. i might be answering my own question but i guess IOK is only better against hate bears and maybe trying to strip a goblin guide, but thats why we play ensnaring bridge.

Next question,no mox opal? i like that it gives us a better mana bases so we dont have to play darksteel citadel and it opens up the mana base to play GQ and the like. Have you tried opal in small numbers. I feel like, and again this is me speaking with no experience, that 1-2 would be good.

Lastly, a few minor details. is black cleave cliffs a consideration? is 8 fast lands optimal or maybe some rainbow lands? sunbeam spellbomb in the main? i feel like i dont fully respect the surgicals they seem really good against a lot of things (twin, scapeshift, amulet?, ad nauseaum) can you maybe open my eyes to the idea? because i would love to play the 4 surgical deck

Thank you very much for reading all of this and thank you in advance for taking the time to respond

I totally agree with ambitions it just seems like a better card in general. Have you also thought about liliana vess or karn. I also feel like this deck should probably side the thoughtseizes or just play iok the two damage very much matters. I would think.
Also a red splash allows for rakdos return and other things if youre interested.

I like this idea. I fee suggestions I wowould make is that I think we should use pilgrim as more of a toolbox than just find your win con. Something like a chain to the rocks seems fine. Maybe not though. You could also sideboard wheel of sun And moon. I also think we should just be all in on twin and no masteries.
