Obviously, Mana Drain is excellent, but it can be a bit underwhelming in some matchups. Burn, notably, where you might have to dump it on a 1 cmc spell. Of course, the dream is stealing a massive spell only to cheat out something better on your next turn, but in practice it doesn't happen as often as liked.
It's hard for me to say who my favorite artist is, but it might just be Terese Nielsen, considering the quality, and longevity of her career. There are plenty of amazing artists currently working for MTG, but it was Mark Tedin,, Quinton Hoover, Rebecca Guay, and Dan Frazier that really established the early look of the game that I fell in love with, and nostalgia is one hell of a drug.
One artist that was I really liked who doesn't work with WotC anymore was DiTerlizzi. Cards like Pursuit of Knowledge, Song of Serenity, Crop Rotation just had a uniquely wistful feel that nobody else really captures.
Tsabo's Decree gets around Eladamri's protection (now called shroud) by not targeting the elves directly. Shroud does not protect against non-targeting spells, such as Wrath of God, or Extinction.
It's probably the burn spell closest to getting cut. It's a decent enough spell, and I love the modality for being a one sided sweeper, but it doesn't often get used that way.
I don't set off fireworks, but I work in the ER, so I get to see plenty of the people who set them off by accident.
Tinker is such a broken card, and I love it. Just a few days ago me and my brother did sealed out of the cube (it was just us 2) and I immediately went for a simic tinker combo deck to cheat out Blightsteel Colossus. It's one of those cards that is a force multiplier. By itself it doesn't do much, but makes all your good artifacts immensely better.
I can see Ikea's Cradle going into a Sisay deck, which is pretty good. I'm thinking about putting one in my Wort, the Raidmother token/spells deck. Should be able to get it to flip easy with all the token generation, and then pump out huge X spells. And, as mentioned, Prossh loves this card as much as Prossh loves everything else not called food chain or Purphoros.
I'm gonna be honest, anyone who thought we were getting this effect at the same CMC as Nemesis of Reason or Traumatize itself was kidding themselves.
That said, it's a bummer this is a Fish and not Leviathan/Kraken. What up with that?
I agree. There's power creep, but I thought having this guy at 5CMC (with the smaller body) would be absurd. Though, if it were, it would be a contender for a cube spot. I still think Nemesis is better for that format, though, as the static 10 mill hurts quite more in a format where your deck is usually 40 cards.
Captivating Crew is pretty awesome. Great in limited, despite the improved burn presence. With fling and sac effects, it could easily become an EDH all star, especially with a single R requirement. And I just noticed that it doesn't tap to activate. Brutally awesome for lategame EDH.
River Sneak could be a good budget Merfolk card, just lord them up and walk at people unblocked. Seems like it could be legit.
Charging Monstrosaur has a great name, and is a fantastic limited card. Uncommon beatstick.
Adanto Vanguard is neat, but giving it lifelink would be awesome. It could rival Accorder Paladin for a spot in my cube, but I doubt it would have the same impact.

And I'm gonna throw another "I love that Doran" out there.
