So my store is totally overrun with RDW, but it also happens to be the deck I'm currently playing. Dragon's claws are the obvious add, but does anyone have any thoughts if I want to fill a few more spots of the SB with RDW hate?
And there is a reason they post the best of 2009 for the last few weeks. THEY HAVE FAMILIES! God forbid Rosewater spend the holiday season with his kids. Spend some time with your family, by the time we are all done with christmas ham, egg nog, and new year's champagne, im sure we will have much more to discuss. But for now, like everyone else, Wizards deserves a break. Happy holidays all
Has anyone else really been struggling with the mana of the deck. I feel like I get color screwed really often (usually red), which is so relevant for this deck. Any thoughts?
But this is a direct quote from Forsythe's article on the changes:
"The first thing that happens during the declare blockers step is that the defending player (big surprise!) declares blockers. This works the same as before, with an addition. If multiple creatures block the same attacker, the attacking player orders those blockers to show which is first in line for that attacker's damage, which is second, and so on. This is all part of the "declare blockers" action. Once that's done, players can cast spells and activate abilities."
Doesn't that say you do get a chance for responses?
So I play G/W tokens in standard, and I wanted to make sure I had the new interaction down. When during the combat phase can i flip over something under a windbrisk heights. I know I no longer can with damage on the stack, but I can still after attackers or blockers are declared right?
So someone on the last page made a good point. I played this deck to the top 8 at regionals (conceded there because I couldn't go to nationals), and while I easily strolled through most of the day, the last round of swiss before I was able to draw into top 8 was against fae. I beat it 2-1, but that was only because of a nuts draw game 2 and him mulling to 4 game 3 (and i still barely won this game). With faeries becoming big in the meta again, we need stronger answers. Thoughts?
I really think the strongest strategy is still playing rangers and processions in your deck and playing overrun. It single-handedly wins games you have no business winning, and pulling it from a heights is just a blowout. It give you a way to pound through a token army or win suddenly against 5CC. Plus turn three procession turn four liege is a nasty combo, especially when heirarch makes it turn two, turn three instead.
Hey man, I don't know if you still come back to this thread after the treatment you have been getting, but I want you to know that I have been enjoying your comics. When UGmadness died, I was missing a little part of my magic dosage that this filled. Was it perfect, no. Did I expect it to be, who could. You have been doing it for all of what, 8 comics? Most webcomics have 500 on you, and if you go back to their early editions, they aren't perfect. I know I'm not the only one, and I don't think you should let yourself be stopped by some people in a forum that have nothing better to do than make fun of someone who is actually dedicating their time for the entertainment of others. So please, keep drawing, your niche audience misses you
hey guys. I was wonderin about your opinion on manabarbs. I've been playin it an with great success against lark, 5CC, ad Jund ramp. It severly limits there spell plays, sand drops nicely against a tapped out weather. Thoughts?
I would be more than happy to beta if you'd like, I have been in these projects before on a large scale and know many of the past pitfalls. I also of course would love to play when it gets running.
