Can we get some regionals decklists and results up here from personal experience. I took my version (I'll get decklist up soon) and went 3-2 before having to drop because I can't control my ride. I'm interested in everyone elses day.

Last summer many of us ran black hand during KBC. Looking through the current card pool and matchups, I see no reason why it can't be played today. This is what I would run:

If this catches on, I'll add a sideboard and card explanations. For now, andy constructive critiscm will be greatly appreciated.

Personally I like the added mana consistency the blue stall spells give, but that is just my opinion.

Lol, i completely agree with you Yan. That is exactly how i use the skeins, and i think it works out great. And i was not saying we should use a white splash. My build is U/R and much more solid. However, he was askin what the white splash would have so I just said that's the only use for a white splash.

Sorry Ixidor, but that was a mistype. I am actually 15 and this is my last year for JSS. It sucs, and I'm sorry you can't come. As far as vision skeins, I am in love with that card. It goes through my deck quickly, allows me to keep getting to stall, and then one thing that has gone unmentioned, can turn an opponents 5 card hand into 4 damage from and owl. I think we should definitely be running four ofs of that thing, at least I am. And the white splash should be less for walking archive and more for wrath of god to hold of aggro.

At Regionals I faced control and heartbeat and beat them both 2-0 no problem. Your list is slightly different then mine however. As long as you can get a Owl out and back it up with some bounce and a draw engine, no control should have any chance of beating us. Fom my testing, losses only come from aggro. We just have to be sure to play our owls wen they are tapped down or with a remand in hand. Shauku-I think your list has a lot of counterspells we really dont need. Bouncing a recently played spell is better than countering it, and even if it does come down, we can keep it from doin harm to us.

Number Wizard-How are you worried about control matchups with our deck. You can generally go island go, island go (eot gigadrowse) island ebony owl and they die for the rest of the game. If you have solid against aggro, then maybe you have the formula to win.

Shauku- I think our board is definitely good enough for aggro. Kindle the Carnage was great for me at regionals, and I just got the threads and blood moons. Blood moon can shut down zoo and B/W variants, and threads can get you a solid 3/3. Even better if it has a moldervine on it. I plan on testin a lot for JSS but my 3-2 record at regionals coupled with the fact I no I could have gone 4-1 if I had gotten my sideboard is definitely a good enough reason for me. I was actually talkin to one of the guys who was 4-0 with R/W aggro and he actually considered us one of his worst matchups. With control sicking in with the slow removal of heartbeat, I really think we have a chance.

I brought Owling to regionals, and was the topic of conversation at every table i was at. Sadly, I could not stay around 8 rounds because at 16 I'm still at the mercy of my mom's driving. I went 3-2 with the list i posted a few pages back. I beat Ghazi-Glare (2-1), UW Control (2-0), and Heartbeat (2-0). I lost to Hand in Hand (2-1) and Simic Aggro-Control (2-0). The only game that was a beating was the Simic, Ghazi was domination for the two wins, then UW kid almost scooped the second I dropped Ebony Owl Netsuke and heartbeat never had a single shot at going off in two games. I blame the Hand in Hand loss on two thing. First, it was really early in the morning and I'm pretty sure I made some bad choices, especially in the mulliganing department. I also could not get the 4x Blood Moon before hand (got them in a trade after round 2) and I'm almost sure it could have won me that game since he had 5 duals out of 6 lands wen i drew the card i brought in instead of blood moon. I could have been 4-1, but for my first real tourney, I'm not all that disappointed. A few points of interest:
    - We still dont have a solid answer for aggro.
    - Our stall is vastly underrated and someone earlier in the thread was definitely right in saying that we win on our stall.
    - Exhausion is an extremely sweet card that all builds should have.
    - Most people don't actually get that their instants stacked on top of our owls can keep them from taking damage.
I want to hear anyone else who took Owling to Regionals stories, so please share. Decklists will be great as well. For me, I hope to do well at JSS now.

basically, you just have to let it hit, or save up mana till you can back it up with a counter. I would say disrupting shoal but the only card in our whole deck we could remove it gigadrowse.

I've been sitting here reading the regionals threads and have seen that they have made it clear that they think we cant top 8 cause of our matchup against aggro. I disagree. I have been testin against aggro, and i got 60-75% on rakdos, R/G, and B/W and the only thing i can't beat mainly is zoo. I honestly think that we can make top 8 at both regionals and JSS, as our new toy, vision skeins , seriously makes us more solid. What is everyones opinion on whether we can competitively play this in anything upcoming.

In the end though we may just be looking at a sideboard variant that includes mountains Adamaro, stone rain, Kindle or something like that.

Now I think that is a possibility, a red sideboard devoted to beating aggro.

Any takers? Even gives us a chance to create alternate win conditions against cranial. I think it could work

Adamaro costs 1 less than Magnivore, you don't HAVE to wait until later in the game to play him, played right he's fine with a wildfire and he works with sorceries OR instants especially with vision Skeins. The problem, as usual, is creature hate and chump blockers.

I think that an adamaro based deck has serious possibilities, and owl may not be needed. In any case, I look forward to your input.

As you said, its because of the creature removal that we don't run adamaro. We are letting them draw through their decks, leaving creature removal with no use, except for the occasional kami of the crescent moon. The second adamaro is played, he will be killed. Its just not as useful as the instants and sorceries we run.

Counterpost shouldnt be a problem, blood moon screws them enough. Could be interesting in heartbeat, but parraletic feedback could be better. I'd add more anti aggro in the side, i really love threads, have since i played them in UR fish in KBC. I'd go 4. I've been using blood moon with no duals (since im cheap...you all know) and it does help, as you draw into the land you need. I've never had problems, as it's a tiny splash of red really, and UU is vital, the extra life is good too. Storage matrix has never seemed too effective to me.

Storage Matrix in my time screws aggro up a lot. Especially after a evacuation, every turn is either drop another creature or attack. I'll look into the threads, and ya, im cheep as well, and use blood moon with no duals which is very effective. Thanks for the help everyone. I'll try to stay active in these forums.

Hey guys, first post on these forums, but I'm a long time player. I have been testing for regionals and have fallen in love with the howling mine deck and its great matchups (which seem like they will only get better after dissension). My current sideboard is

I was wondering about the inclusion of Azorius Guildmage in our sideboard to beat vitu-ghazi (in counterpost, etc.) and transmute ( in heartbeat) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
