Frostburn Weird stood out for me.

Keening Apparition has a strong place in this format.

Knightly Valor is a great 1-of.

This just in. New Freljord Ashe splash art is the ugliest abomination to ever be allowed into this game. I hate that thing with a passion and want my original back Frown

Yeah, old Queen Ashe was also pretty epic compared to new.

It's about time they made an AP jungler. They need to fix Fiddlesticks in the jungle. Dread should increase AP damage on jungle creeps.

Just played through Normal. The story is not as good as D2's, but gameplay is vastly better.

    Warning: big rant ahead.

As someone who has spent hours, days, weeks, MONTHS playing Diablo 2, I have to say I'm disappointed in D3. I didn't play it, but I did watch several gameplay videos on youtube, both with and without the commentaries, as well as reading reviews and following forum discussions.

First, I'm not disappointed in the graphics AT ALL and I really don't understand why are people always complaining about this aspect of the game. It's still dark and spooky, there are still swamps, forests, deserts, graveyards, cathedrals, cellars. For all I care, D3 could be set in candy land and I would still play it 24/7. I'm not here for the graphics. Or the setting. I'm here to fight hordes of monsters, while unlocking new skills and collecting new loot.

No, my number 1 worst offender and the thing that bothers me the most is: the character customization.
The one thing I LOVE in D2 was the fact that you can have multiple characters from the same class, let's say Paladins, and they would ALL be different. I literally have 5 Paladins who are completely different from each other, both in stats, skills and equipment. In D3, each character has access to all skills in any moment. This means that my level 30 Barbarian will be same as your level 30 Barbarian. How exciting.
Let's say I complete the game with the Wizard. Let's say I want to create a new one. Why should I? My first Wizard already has all the skills he needs. What could my new Wizard possibly offer that my old one doesn't already have?
In D2 you could do silly things like playing with a Melee Sorceress or running around with Necromancer casting ONLY Curses. You can' really do that now. I mean yes, you can limit yourself of using only "certain" skills, but it still feels stupid. Why should I restrain myself in order to enjoy a game?
In D2 you had a limited number of skills and you had to think in advance if you wanted to survive hell. You had to make some tough decision. Now, in D3 if you arrive in a tough spot you can just switch your skills willy-nilly with no repercussion.
Yes, there are runes now, but once again you can just socket and un-socket them in any moment. Besides, most of the bonuses provided by runes are pretty boring (adding fire damage, adding cold damage, decreasing mana cost, yawn).
I also loved how you could build your skills up to level 20. Skill building and skill planning became even more important when they added the synergies. Stats were also important. It was cool putting points into strength with Sorceress so that I could wear heavy armor and two-handed Mauls. Now, my Wizard will always run around in some fancy mage robes with a wand in his hand.

I also don't like the story and how everything is scripted. Kill dudes, speak with the captain, enter the town, speak with the girl, kill zombies in the tavern, pick up the book, go outside, pick up the girl, let her open the gate for you, pick up the cauldron...
In D2 you could skip 90% of the quests if you wanted to. Also, Blizzard is shoving in our faces that whole "use breakable environment against your foes". Like those skeletons who are always feasting with a dead corpse under a chandelier.

And finally, the "always online BS".

Thankfully, there are some other ARPG coming out - Path of Exile, Torchlight 2 and Grim Dawn so check those if you haven't already.

Good job, these are great points. However, I would say it's great that you can just make 5 characters and never have someone else help you to do countless Baal runs to level up characters. Instead, you have more time to focus on looting, which is what the majority of players want to do in Diablo. As long as Inferno is worth doing, this game will be fine.

New jungle champs bring out the idiots. I was WW top and got first blood level 2 because Renekton chose to dive me with Mundo gank. I sustained back up when he returns and I kill him again with Ignite. He ended up being level 2 versus my level 6, and I proceed to do the logical thing: freeze lane + deny him xp. Completely shut down.

Idiot Hecarim then decides to gank three times midgame, even though I repeatedly told him that I just wanted to farm and crush Renekton. Worse, he and bot never warded dragon. At all. Suffice to say, we lose to Mundo after god knows how many free dragons.

Does anyone else think Wit's End is the most OP item in the game? It's dirt-cheap and provides offense + defense like Atma's, without any extra setup.

So I carried a ~25 min game surrender with jungle Warwick, 8/4/15. Mid LeBlanc lost lane vs Malz, and pretty much useless unless I ulted someone. Bot Ez and Leona lost 1st and 2nd tower (game ended with their bot's towers all up) to Wukong and Galio, while feeding in the process. I secured all 3 of the game's dragons, as well as winning the teamfight that lead to a 3-man baron...

Yet the Leona had the gall to say I deal no damage between my Wit's End and Glacial Shroud Q, even though we win teamfights every time I show up. You can't please solo-queue idiots.

    /sigh

Last two games with Trynd, 10/3 and 8/4. Lost both. I just can't win anymore. I'm playing really well and going positive in most of my games, but I just can't win.

Funny, opposite keeps happening with me and Jungle 'Plank. I'm usually negative on kills (but high assists), I ward more than my support, and I'm 7-3 last 10 games since taking a month off.

The Vayne nerfs are ridiculous. The Tumble nerf is whatever, but she moves slow enough as is. How does Riot expect Vayne to make up for the short range if you can't catch up or escape after an engagement?
