What happens if I give Fire of Kaladesh first strike, block a 6/6 with her, then ping and flip her before the 6/6 can deal damage? "Chandra" is still alive with full loyalty counters, and the 6/6 creature is still effectively blocked, correct?
Do you have a close buddy, family member or relative, or caregiver who can come to the store with you? Or, if you are willing to ask, if the LGS staff can introduce you to particular long-term, friendly customers who can welcome you in?
Yes, there are a few LGS attendees who are @$$es, extraordinarily rude, have no social skills / are immature, etc. But you also have those few who form tight-knit social groups, and who do their best to keep the LGS community alive. You would do well to find those kind of players and do your best to make friends.
Just wanted to chime in on this so that people might understand the context of what is going on here.
Copyright law as we know it does not exist in China. Things get copied, distributed, and sold all the time here as fakes. Yes, often it is to save money. However, two other factors to consider are that most of the people here can't afford goods like these, but more importantly, all sorts of stuff gets copied and it isn't even considered wrong in the first place. Copying is in fact considered a requirement to a degree in education, and is considered a homage to the original source -- in many cases, that original source is not explicitly acknowledged but rather implicitly "understood." If lots of people end up copying your work, to a degree it's good because that means you're getting famous.
I teach writing at a Chinese university, and this is a problem all the time with my students. They copy sentences, diagrams, and figures from the lab manual all they time, and think it is in fact their responsibility to do so, because it is the "right" way to learn things. Bit by bit I have to make them realize their own interpretation and ideas are important, manuals and textbooks are not an absolute authority they must copy, and that copyright law exists in other countries because ideas are valuable, and can be stolen.
Finally, I ask them how they would like it if one of their classmates took their lab report and ended up getting a high grade for their work. That helps a bit. Number grades mean a LOT to the students as a measurement of achievement, reputation, and self-esteem.
Do you mind telling me why you think S-Chinese cards look so nice?
I grew up surrounded by traditional Chinese characters, and have invested a lot of time learning Chinese with traditional characters. Now, having just moved to Shanghai, I find the removal of so many meaningful radicals, changes in the relationships between characters, and other arbitrary changes in Simplified Chinese so frustrating, I've come to privately nickname the writing system "stupefied Chinese." I'm on the lookout now for people who can sincerely and rationally convince me otherwise (honestly).
EDIT: I even heard rumors there are people in the government who want to simply it further. What the heck!? If government officials want to use such drastic measures to increase literacy, why don't they just introduce everyone to Hanyu Pinyin? Lowering the amount of strokes a character contains isn't necessarily going to make it easier to learn -- especially if you keep changing the language's logography.

What if this 6/6 creature had trample?
Thanks very much for your help!!!
I tried the particular post again, but unfortunately it still doesn't seem to work Is there anything else that can be done?
I'm trying to Like a post in the Rumor Mill forum, but for some reason I can't. Is there any way to fix this?
I've attached images of the post I'm trying to Like and the "Forbidden" message the forum is giving me.
Thanks,

Then when I open the thread and read about EDH players infuriated over "NO MORE TUCKING," I think, "EDH players like to tuck!?!?"
Ew.

I love this card. In every way. Guy punches out a giant creature and its tooth falls out. In every timeline.
Also, it's a lot more playable than I thought.

What a nice gesture, and welcome to MTG Salvation
How old is your son? Can you estimate about how many cards he owns?
Where does he play? At what time, and how often?
I assume your son is ~13 years old, and perhaps plays at a friend's house after school. Am I correct?
Best, Azaz117
Thank you very much for the informative discussion on this thread.
I'd very much like to read WOTC's list of infringements. Unfortunately, I don't have easy access to Dropbox where I live.
Would it be possible for anyone to post the .pdf in another form here, or to somehow send it to me as an attachment?
I teach writing at a university and this would be excellent material to discuss in terms of copyright infringement and its complexities.
Best,

Phytotitian: 4GG

Phytotitian is all colors.
G: put a 1/1 Nymph token into play. That token is all colors and is naked.

Personally, I think Adorno explains quite well why Magic is growing in popularity
I'm sure he would have collaborated with Dr. Garfield, were he to approach him when designing the game
