How is the madcap/emperion plan working for you?
Right now i play with calebs sb but i really have trouble against burn.
When do you board it in, just vs burn or are there other matchups?

Feb 7, 2018So, how is the state of storm after the pro tour?Posted in: Tier 1 (Modern)
Everyone is talking about other decks, articles everywhere underestimating storm as a easy matchup.
Whats your impression, just the pt hype? Or is the "storm problem" solved?
Oct 10, 2017Yeah, 4 Chalice, Contortion and call me crazy -> speading seas.Posted in: Developing Competitive (Modern)
+ if you have SB Negate/Dispel or something.
For me the matchup is even 50% and the scary thing is, its never 2:0 its always a 2:1 for either side.

By the way, I play eldrazi and cut chalice. Chalice time is in the past...maybe it will change again, but dont overrate it
Now we are talking, without chalice it makes more sense.
It should be about chalice or no chalice this discussion, and not about "opt".
Oct 3, 2017But game 1 is the game where chalice steals games, with no sideboard hate against it.Posted in: Developing Competitive (Modern)
Moving it to sb is such a terrible idea.
I just dont understand the reasoning behind running "opt", sry 1 and replacing itself.
And making some 5-0's is great, but doesnt help with that logic iam searching for.
Sep 3, 2017The statement that trinket into ballista gets you somewhere against burn, affinity or meerfolk is just not right.Posted in: Developing Competitive (Modern)
Turn 3 trinket into ballista is so clunky your dead by then.
But i stop writing about it, maybe its just playstyle or something but i dont get behind it.
Sep 2, 2017Bridge is a problem? I dont think so.Posted in: Developing Competitive (Modern)
And a turn 2 ballista? I cast counter, draw, map, spatial during those turns.
I need a reason, not a "i like it"
So its good vs tokens, like ugin or oblivion stone, or sb ee.
And its okay, if you have a *****ty hand and nothing to play on turn 2.
Please dont get me wrong, i will playtest ballista but at least we can discuss why its a good Option.
Sep 2, 2017Yes, most of the time iam under pressure and need a big payoff that turns the match in my favour.Posted in: Developing Competitive (Modern)
So i would like to hear from someone who likes and plays ballista, if its worth it.
Sep 2, 2017Can someone explain to me why we are playing walking ballista?Posted in: Developing Competitive (Modern)
Right now i play 2 treasure mage / 2 wormcoil. And 2 to 4 chalice.
I would have to cut options (treasure mage) to play trinket/ballista and reduce the Chance of tutoring slaver or wormcoil.
Is ballista that big of a payoff?
Lets say we establish tron on turn 4,(for me thats fast) we have like 8 mana. Thats a 4/4 that pings.
And if we dont have tron its almost unplayable.

Aug 22, 2017Basilisk collar and ballista? Sounds like a eldrazi tron list.Posted in: Developing Competitive (Modern)
Your right on the logic behind boarding lands out on the draw, but i guess as long its at least 24 lands not much can go wrong.
I still board the caverns out if its useless. Free space for sb cards.
With all those "new" additions to the deck i feel like sometimes we miss the point of the deck.
Beeing a clockwork, predictable draws and matchups.
Cute stuff like a basilisk collar makes no sense to me, but i guess you can play this deck in different styles and if it works for you. Its not dumb if it works.
Aug 20, 2017I like 25 lands, call me crazy but i almost never have to mulligan.Posted in: Developing Competitive (Modern)
On the play gemstone goes out anyway.
Just 17 people in this trial, was the perfect opportunity.
Also 3 spatial seems wierd but helped me a lot vs burn, storm & abzan.
Yeah the crypt allows for some nice plays vs storm, dredge, living end, for example, nuke there grave and put crypt on top if needed again.
