Like all sets this one has it's ups and downs. There are a bunch of cards I'm really excited about, but nothing jumps out as a card or cards I want to build around. Zendikar had some crazy stuff, this builds on it but isn't really crazy on it's own.
I haven't seen any pulled and I didn't realize they were so hard to come by. I normally don't buy foil land but the local shop had a mountain for .99$ so I grabbed it. Was the only one, guess that's a pretty good deal.
I have not played with any slivers in a deck... well since they were introduced. I have never felt the need to hunt down and build a sliver deck, but this one is built for me and is all foily. This is something I will probably be picking up. I hope for more silly all foil products and will gladly line Hasbro's pockets with my money supporting this.
I think it's a fine idea, and there is abviously a market for this. I do like foils and will probably but a couple. For someone who LOVES foils this will be a must have. I hope I can find 8 guys who want to draft it, that would be fun.
I really like the level up cards, this is no exception.
I'm assuming it will leave you at 1 or 2 life for the 18/18.
The preview art is awesome. I loved Mirrodin the first time around, I'm sure I will love it this time.
I hope we get the fortifications, and artifact lands! Fingers crossed for some more colored artifacts as well.
That's my guess.
I always loved Basalt Monolith and would be happy with something like that as well.
Someone like Guillermo del Toro, could ensure it was visually stunning, and just let him write it as well.
I'd see that movie
Like a "doubling cube" in each color, that only doubles the mana of that color.
Again I don't think it will happen, but personally would love to see it.
Probably not.
